This tip works exactly as you described. Simple, effective, and doesn’t require hours on the range to master it. Now whenever I set up, I ensure my lead arm is extended, and the club face is square. And the ball goes straight and long, every time. Thanks again.
Stand tall, left arm straight on impact. Within 25 balls Paul fixed my slice. I could barely make contact with it before. Now im hitting 250 yards and straight effortlessly. Other coaches had me leaning at a 45 degree angle away from the ball, changing ball position etc. Paul makes it so simple. I almost cried with joy after i could see it working. Thank you so much
Glad you go it. Curing slices is one of my specialties. So easy to fix. Literally takes me minutes. Now you have it stay focused. Fun times ahead for you!
Just tripped across this one before hitting the range a short while ago. This tip hit home with me, simplified everything. My focus also was "around and around" and "roll the wrists early". I am recalibrated. Almost every strike either straight or a slight fade. Loose wrists straightened those out. Once I trusted that process I found my focus on just hitting my finish... game changer. I was able to face the target after impact, on the back toe and knees came together. Its a position I never found with a strong grip. I have returned from the dark side Paul!
Hi Paul. Just used your putting tip re marking between the ball and hole using the pro side. Only three putted once over eighteen holes. Thanks, took the money too!!

Paul just for clarity since you didn't do a side view of your pre swing set up...are your arms straight out like Moe Norman or are the straight with the club slightly bent at the hands? Hope this question is clear.
No, there is a slight angle. To get this just make sure the toe of your club is slightly higher than the heel with all clubs. I do not teach a Moe swing. I have tried it in the past and have taught many people who have done that swing. I will keep doing what I do.
@@paulwilsongolf I love what you teach, I have never enjoyed playing golf as much as I do now thats to your method...the body swing. I hit if straighter and farther than I ever have, so thank you very much.🏌️♂️💯
This makes a lot of sense, I’ve always always kept my front arm dead straight and I’d do a strong grip and I’d even cock my club head face a little to the the left to combat slice but this helps!! I’ve always been able to hit my irons and wedges good though. I hope this brings everything full circle, thank you and happy golfing 👍🏼
I want powerless arms so if your arms are turned off the club will extend the lead arm when you hit the ball. Because of the body tilt you may have shaft lean at impact. I talk about it here: th-cam.com/video/RM4OX3m2-90/w-d-xo.html
Well, do you want to keep the path? If not, you need to hit the top and think TURN. The more you turn the less you tilt your body the less inside out your swing will be. If you want the path you can still hit it straight but the club has to be arcing right as it hits the ball. If the path crosses where the ball is with the face slightly closed it will draw. Kind of hard to explain. I would look at the shape of your shots. If the start too far right I would say 5-10 yard draw with irons 5-15 with driver. More than that think TURN from the top. To reduce it. Then be sure to have loose wrists to allow the club to release so you get the draw. Watch: th-cam.com/video/mp8MriLZ4sg/w-d-xo.html And: th-cam.com/video/2rSmPExx4_k/w-d-xo.html
Any suggestions for a baseball grip with the driver? My left pinky is completely out of action so finding traditional neutral grip difficult for full control
I am going through this very thing. Literally for about the last month my left pinky is giving me some serous pain. You need to be careful and not get too strong with the baseball grip. Just make sure you are holding it in the fingers of this hand the the V between the index finger and thumb are more on top not off to to the side. Watch my neutral grip tip and do it with your baseball grip: th-cam.com/video/jQZLp8bF-Ww/w-d-xo.html
Hi Paul - not sure where else to ask this. I purchased body swing and the old swing machine golf shirt game series. For a ~20 handicapper, once a week golfer, like myself - do you recommend a lob wedge or just opening up the sand wedge when a higher pitch shot is called for?
Yeah, I don't like the look of a LW. They didn't have them years ago. I just use my 56 and open the face if I need to. A lot of the problem with a lob wedge is people try to do weird swings. Unless you are hitting a short shot this is your normal golf swing. Coil uncoil hinge rehinge. Let the loft do the work don't try to help these shots.
Paul I’m really enjoying using your teaching but my bad shot is a straight block to the right. Do you think that’s a club face or a weight transfer issue?
Glad you like the tips. Thanks. As for the pushes. You are firing the lower hard so the timing is off with your release. I did a timing tip here: th-cam.com/video/bLskGy7rulo/w-d-xo.html
@@paulwilsongolf Super interesting, if anything I thought the answer was firing my hips even more, so of course the problem would get worse and worse on bad days. I miss book a session at the range to try your tip and finally get rid of that punitive block
Super easy to fix. Hook about 10 in a row rolling from the top. This will speed up the release. Then go back to adding body. Done. This is 5 mins to perfect.
I’m curious if you have any opinions that you’d like to share about equipment such as shaft lengths lofts etc for the average recreational golfer. Anything that will help maximize your methods.
Well, this depends on budget. If you have the budget work on the swing and set up then get professionally fitted. If your budget is limited then buy top of the line 2-4 years old off of ebay. Fitting is important so you can get those clubs then have them fitted for you. A fitting depends on your size. If you are average height then mens standard should fit fairly close. Shorter you will need flatter and taller more upright. If you feel you are maxed out with your swing speed or happy with distance then choose the best shafts for your swing. If you need more distance then keep working on your swing then get fitted once you feel you are happy with distance. The right clubs/shaft can make a difference so this is something to do when you feel you are ready but again at least your setup has to be good. I like an athletic (short stop position) set up. Get this wrong and get your club fitted then they are not fitted properly.

Need to swing 50% and loose up. The bad ones are you trying g to swing too hard so you tighten up. Swing easy. Get it. Then speed up the legs and hips for more power when you are ready.
Paul - some club manufactures have come out with lighter clubs - marketed to those with slower swing speeds - with the notion that lighter clubs mean you can swing them faster for more club head speed , thus more distance. Do you agree with this? In following you for many years , I know you want the club head ( especially with driver ), to feel heavier in your hands.
I do like them. They do make average players hit it better. I've seen it with my own eyes. The thing is with a few changes you could hit it better too. I know you are well on your way to playing great golf. I think you might actually hit it too good for those clubs. Might want to try them.

An issue i have is keeping my lead arm straight throughout the entire swing. Noticed that you do not. Any videos on this? Seems like if i get the lead arm straight at impact it should not matter.
Hi Paul! I have a question regarding my tee shots. Recently my tee shot distance has been getting much longer, and I usually hit 12-13 fairways a round. This has been going on for the last dozen rounds. The other day though, I couldn't hit a fairway at all. Spraying left and right the whole round. Can this be normal, just an off day? Or, should I be reevaluating my loft degree from a 11.5 to perhaps a lower loft. Not sure if this question even makes sense...lol All I know is that i am addicted to your videos and you have really helped my game improve, so i value your opinion.
Very good. Distance helps for sure. This is typically the person putting a little extra into it so it tightens their wrists and twists the face. Because you hit one left you try to hold the face open then you blow it right and so on. I am not hitting anything. I swing from point A the top to point B the follow through. All you have to do in the future is default to loosening and rolling the wrists. You just hold the club in the air at knee high. Do a bunch of roll overs to keep the wrists (hinge) loose. Then you step up to the ball firing your legs and and hips allowing the arms to come down and release the club because the wrists are loose not because you are trying to hit anything. You watch your ball. This will tell you exactly what is happening and how to fix it. Watch: th-cam.com/video/bLskGy7rulo/w-d-xo.html So divide your swing into 2 parts.
