IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE: these bonuses are NOT the same as RP boosters or work the same way. RP boosters give you certain % of TOTAL RP earned for all actions and mission reward while this bonus gives you certain % boost of BASE RP. To demonstrate: Right after they released these RP bonuses, I went ahead to test it with USSR Premium P-39K-1 while researching La-7 (Rank III so that means I get 25% of RP bonus on base RP I earn). I played one Air RB match and I earned 11555 RP (with premium account). If I had 25% RP booster on, that would give me additional 25% of 11555 RP meaning 2888 + 11555 = 14443 RP However... this nation bonus gives you 25% of base RP (as far as I understand that doesn't calculate the amount of time you played, victory, etc.). My base RP for that game was 2655 RP and 25% of that is 664 so in reality I got 664 additional RP on top of 11555 which is 12219 in total. Let's say that I had the same results every game and I get 664 additional RP every game, that would be 3320 RP in total for those 5 games I play while 25% RP booster would give me 14440 additional RP for those same 5 games. EDIT: For some reason youtube keeps deleting my replies so I will have to respond to all replies by editing this comment: Basically people are saying that RP boosters work the same way as this bonus but that is not correct. No, boosters work exactly in the same way. they only calculate base RP and DO NOT account for Premium account. Don't get me wrong, it's still bad, but they do work in the same way. (same with skill bonus btw).

Somehow this lined up with me researching the Russian naval tree so I managed to get a top vehicle (Kronstadt) about 2 hours after this update and was pretty happy when I got an extra 1.7k RP for researching the next ship when I played another battle
The new bonus is LEAGUES better than previously suggested! My main and absolute biggest issue is that it is essentially a temporary solution. Lets say you gain on average 25% extra RP per day at top rank, great! that cuts the time by 1/4! but that also means that a nation with 4 top rank vehicles only need one new addition to that rank in the future for this bonus to effectively have changed nothing about the amount of grind needed. It's nice to have but will eventually get caught up by the addition of new vehicles and result in a zero net gain. It's a short term solution. Sidenote: your videos are great, to the point and well made :)
Honestly considering gaijin's track record, these bonuses are great. The hoops you have to jump through to claim the bonuses are annoying as it makes several top rank jets invalid for the bonuses & only 5 bonuses a day feels a bit like a cop-out but 5 free boosters a day is still leagues better than 0 a day so generally, good addition

@@CatWerfer i don't remember exactly, but i got to the end of ww2 german tanks, and i think i have jpz 4-5 and some other cold war one researched. i do play a lot of other stuff though, german air, american air, a bit of british and french ground. I also play a lot of very low BR ground battles. I find low BR to be way more fun, especially for germany. PZ3s and 4s feel horribly outmatched by anything i face. it's either PZ2 and 38T, or panthers and king tigers, everything inbetween that is nigh unplayable. also i never spent a dime on that god forsaken game.
At the beginning of my WT career, I decided to take my time and NOT to die my way up to the top tier quickly. I sat down and learnt the game, got to know other vehicles. I'm on the road in all nations, but I don't have a top tier vehicle. This bonus is not within my grasp. Will I therefore now work my way up to a top tier? No.
hmm yeah the way this game rewards long time players is not very consistent... its kinda unfortunate some people made an arguably better choice of progressing down the tiers one at a time...
@guvyygvuhh298 ...I do, I have close to top tier in every nation but because I like prop planes more than jets, I got up to rank 4 in all nations before I got my first top tier. It's a lot more fun playing that way since you get to learn all the planes and your opponents weaknesses and really learn and overcome a meta
5 battles with one nation? Yeah, it's worthless. Glad I left the game during the uprising and none of the changes they made actually convinced me to come back
sure it's only 5 per nation but that adds up to 50 across all nations. If you choose not to play some nations at that point i feel like that's kinda on you. It would be nice if you could switch them between nations if you wanna hardfocus research down one tree but I still think this is nice given what gaijin is usually like.

In wartunder Rp boosters are only worth your time, if you save up buying your vehicles during 50% off events, you will never make enough sl even with a premium account to outright buy a vehilce in higer tiers, get the needed crew qualification and have some sl left for rebuys or when another brainless teammate gets you a tk becauase he crashes into you during takeoff and you get to pay the bill. Thats why i personaly buy vehicles only to rank 4. Everithing higer gets unlocked but only bought during 50% off. BTW air rb gets you way better sl gain than ground rb. So even as a ground player i would suggest to get one air tree in a minor nation to help grind sl. The best gains you get is in naval but i could not bring myself to play it. you get something insane like 1500% sl bonus. What also works is getting a premium bomber like the ju288 and go play sim base bombing, you can fly in external few and see the aproching fighters from miles away. If you can hit with your defensive guns you can make about 3 to 4 kills per bombing run. I did not do this for a long time but i could make about 1-2 million sl in 2 to 3 hours.
good advice. I personally don't struggle a lot with SL because I like to play props in nations that I've already ground out but I know a lot of people do so I do think it's important that RP gains and SL gains are balanced. Frankly it does feel kinda stupid that you have to simultaneously grind two separate resources to be able to get something
@@CatWerfer Gaijing could half rp requirments tomorrow and everyone would have to grind the same. rp are not the bottleneck its sl. Your suppos to buy sl for ge, thats the current thing Gaijin wants you to do. I grinded a aircraft today, it was about 120k rp, i made about 10k rp per match and 25k sl. took about 12 matches. so for the 120k rp i made 300k sl, the aircraft cost is 340 sl, its a deficit of 40k sl. Those numbers are with premium. While this is just some rough estemates, i had games with 30k rp and 120k sl, there are some with 1k rp and 0 sl. But on average it feels like you make about 60% of the needed sl without high reward games and about 80 to 90% if your very good at the game/ your lucky. edit: and dont forget the sl to buy the crew its also about 30% of the vehicle prize
I love how they add stuff like this that could be simple, but instead they make it super complicated and in depth just to hide the fact that the bonus is basically useless.
@@CatWerfer technically you can say it's 50, but I don't think anyone could realistically play 50 games in one day, most people don't even play 5 games a day. And like that pinned comment said, it's only a boost to the base RP before multipliers, and is unaffected by multipliers so the amount you get out of it just isn't much of a difference. From 0 RP to unlocked on a top tier plane, the bonus might take off like 5 or 10 games at best. That and most people don't jump between nations in one session, rather they focus one nation and really learn the planes instead of playing 5 matches in one plane, then 5 matches in a completely different plane and so on. It's still free RP so it's not a bad addition, it's just not enough for you to even realize it's there, which doesn't seem like a super exciting reward for reaching top tier.

Well this dose not apply to me. My highest is on the Brit at 8.3 land. Branched out to russia since was not enjoying Brit much. Now at 8.0 on russia land. Me spliting to another nation befor i even reach top tier and not B lining and researching multiple same rank vehicles before i dip to the next so i dont suffer. I've slowed my progress 10x. Guess now time to B line brit
i've heard that UK top tier ground isn't that great... while the russians are very strong... It'd be nice if gaijin also rewarded players who split research between nations, I think generally that's a better way to grind cuz it lets you learn about your opponents' vehicles
@CatWerfer oh yea 100% agree Brit is just ugh. Regret starting with them, as soon I changed. I felt SOOOO much better. So gonna grind to top tier russia and the just finish Brit land with the RP bonus as a side hustle.
i guess its better than nothing, now the thing is without a premium time or using premium vehicle i get like from rank 2 to start inventigate the mig29 in russia in like a month and a half (most of the time using bombers until i start using the mig21smt) but unlock tanks its a nightmare

@@CatWerfer there was a thing long before that called mitigated damage = you received a small portion of Silver for the damage that your tank did'nt take.. one day it was there the next it was gone and then they micro lowered everything. So learning from the past am pretty sure whitin 1-2 years we will earn even less

personally i feel cheated that planes like the F-14B won't count as top tier vehicles even though it is the furthest someone could get in the US Naval Air Line. i would understand something like the F-111F not counting since it isnt top rank but the F-14B is an extremely good jet and sits at the end of the line for a reason and for it to be pushed out of being 'top tier' because the other jets around it get fox-3's and move up in br it just feels like its getting kicked while its down

@@CatWerfer x2 bonus is more pleasant if u play 1-2 matches per day, you enter a game, play for 30 min and take a bonus, in 2016 I just played for 2-3 battles every day and researched T-54-47 (300K RP) by two weeks If u spend more time in the game 1-2 hours every day, new bonuses are more suitable for this situation I am just a little angry that they took bonuses and returned them after 6 years, imagine how much RP wasn't earned for this 6 years

@@CatWerfer i don't remember exactly, but i got to the end of ww2 german tanks, and i think i have jpz 4-5 and some other cold war one researched. i do play a lot of other stuff though, german air, american air, a bit of british and french ground. I also play a lot of very low BR ground battles. I find low BR to be way more fun, especially for germany. PZ3s and 4s feel horribly outmatched by anything i face. it's either PZ2 and 38T, or panthers and king tigers, everything inbetween that is nigh unplayable. also i never spent a dime on that god forsaken game.
At the beginning of my WT career, I decided to take my time and NOT to die my way up to the top tier quickly. I sat down and learnt the game, got to know other vehicles.
I'm on the road in all nations, but I don't have a top tier vehicle.
This bonus is not within my grasp.
Will I therefore now work my way up to a top tier? No.
hmm yeah the way this game rewards long time players is not very consistent...
its kinda unfortunate some people made an arguably better choice of progressing down the tiers one at a time...

what exactly were you disappointed by? 100% for 50 battles is quite a lot, i probably can't even play that many in one day

@guvyygvuhh298 ...I do, I have close to top tier in every nation but because I like prop planes more than jets, I got up to rank 4 in all nations before I got my first top tier. It's a lot more fun playing that way since you get to learn all the planes and your opponents weaknesses and really learn and overcome a meta

Yeah, it's worthless. Glad I left the game during the uprising and none of the changes they made actually convinced me to come back
sure it's only 5 per nation but that adds up to 50 across all nations.
If you choose not to play some nations at that point i feel like that's kinda on you.
It would be nice if you could switch them between nations if you wanna hardfocus research down one tree but I still think this is nice given what gaijin is usually like.

Especially since in order for you to really learn the weaknesses of a certain vehicle you have to play it yourself.
It's always a good idea to play a lot of nations and experience more to get better
In wartunder Rp boosters are only worth your time, if you save up buying your vehicles during 50% off events, you will never make enough sl even with a premium account to outright buy a vehilce in higer tiers, get the needed crew qualification and have some sl left for rebuys or when another brainless teammate gets you a tk becauase he crashes into you during takeoff and you get to pay the bill. Thats why i personaly buy vehicles only to rank 4. Everithing higer gets unlocked but only bought during 50% off. BTW air rb gets you way better sl gain than ground rb. So even as a ground player i would suggest to get one air tree in a minor nation to help grind sl. The best gains you get is in naval but i could not bring myself to play it. you get something insane like 1500% sl bonus. What also works is getting a premium bomber like the ju288 and go play sim base bombing, you can fly in external few and see the aproching fighters from miles away. If you can hit with your defensive guns you can make about 3 to 4 kills per bombing run. I did not do this for a long time but i could make about 1-2 million sl in 2 to 3 hours.
good advice. I personally don't struggle a lot with SL because I like to play props in nations that I've already ground out but I know a lot of people do so I do think it's important that RP gains and SL gains are balanced. Frankly it does feel kinda stupid that you have to simultaneously grind two separate resources to be able to get something
@@CatWerfer Gaijing could half rp requirments tomorrow and everyone would have to grind the same. rp are not the bottleneck its sl. Your suppos to buy sl for ge, thats the current thing Gaijin wants you to do. I grinded a aircraft today, it was about 120k rp, i made about 10k rp per match and 25k sl. took about 12 matches. so for the 120k rp i made 300k sl, the aircraft cost is 340 sl, its a deficit of 40k sl. Those numbers are with premium. While this is just some rough estemates, i had games with 30k rp and 120k sl, there are some with 1k rp and 0 sl. But on average it feels like you make about 60% of the needed sl without high reward games and about 80 to 90% if your very good at the game/ your lucky.
edit: and dont forget the sl to buy the crew its also about 30% of the vehicle prize

I love how they add stuff like this that could be simple, but instead they make it super complicated and in depth just to hide the fact that the bonus is basically useless.

@@CatWerfer technically you can say it's 50, but I don't think anyone could realistically play 50 games in one day, most people don't even play 5 games a day. And like that pinned comment said, it's only a boost to the base RP before multipliers, and is unaffected by multipliers so the amount you get out of it just isn't much of a difference. From 0 RP to unlocked on a top tier plane, the bonus might take off like 5 or 10 games at best.
That and most people don't jump between nations in one session, rather they focus one nation and really learn the planes instead of playing 5 matches in one plane, then 5 matches in a completely different plane and so on.
It's still free RP so it's not a bad addition, it's just not enough for you to even realize it's there, which doesn't seem like a super exciting reward for reaching top tier.
yeah thats a fair point. it would be nice if you could focus the points into one nation. i personally like to play a bunch of stuff so its nice for me but i can see that others who arent excited to try new trees will be disappointed
Worst part is that this bonuses do not add, its the same if you have 1 or 5 nations at top tier, its only 5 games even tho i agree with deviding bonuses for air, ground and water
it would be nice if there were greater bonuses for having more top vehicles in different nations, even if it weren't doubled each time

I know there are others who make videos on this kind of stuff like mattawg and TEC and zenturion but a lot of them just show ingame capture footage with either just text or voiceover so I wanted to make it very easy to follow presentation-wise with clear edits.

Well this dose not apply to me. My highest is on the Brit at 8.3 land.
Branched out to russia since was not enjoying Brit much. Now at 8.0 on russia land.
Me spliting to another nation befor i even reach top tier and not B lining and researching multiple same rank vehicles before i dip to the next so i dont suffer. I've slowed my progress 10x.
Guess now time to B line brit
i've heard that UK top tier ground isn't that great... while the russians are very strong...
It'd be nice if gaijin also rewarded players who split research between nations, I think generally that's a better way to grind cuz it lets you learn about your opponents' vehicles

So gonna grind to top tier russia and the just finish Brit land with the RP bonus as a side hustle.

i guess its better than nothing, now the thing is without a premium time or using premium vehicle i get like from rank 2 to start inventigate the mig29 in russia in like a month and a half (most of the time using bombers until i start using the mig21smt) but unlock tanks its a nightmare
@antonisashitteragain6993 mmm I wouldn't skip out ok russian props a lot of them are really fun to play, especially all of the yaks. And yeah...tank grind kinda sucks but hopefully this makes it better

@@CatWerfer there was a thing long before that called mitigated damage = you received a small portion of Silver for the damage that your tank did'nt take.. one day it was there the next it was gone and then they micro lowered everything. So learning from the past am pretty sure whitin 1-2 years we will earn even less

they did add that, it just mostly applies to a very select few subsonic high tier attackers like the a10, su25 and ayit

@@CatWerfer something like the AR 234s are what need to have their BRs signifigantly raised in GRB. Theyre useless in ARB obv but in GRB theyre pretty much the strongest vehicle for its BR in the entire game.

personally i feel cheated that planes like the F-14B won't count as top tier vehicles even though it is the furthest someone could get in the US Naval Air Line. i would understand something like the F-111F not counting since it isnt top rank but the F-14B is an extremely good jet and sits at the end of the line for a reason and for it to be pushed out of being 'top tier' because the other jets around it get fox-3's and move up in br it just feels like its getting kicked while its down

Yep, the bonuses will go towards the vehicle research so using premiums is ideal if you have them

@@CatWerfer x2 bonus is more pleasant if u play 1-2 matches per day, you enter a game, play for 30 min and take a bonus, in 2016 I just played for 2-3 battles every day and researched T-54-47 (300K RP) by two weeks
If u spend more time in the game 1-2 hours every day, new bonuses are more suitable for this situation
I am just a little angry that they took bonuses and returned them after 6 years, imagine how much RP wasn't earned for this 6 years

lol i dont think gaijin watched or has any idea about my video... but the 3 year old bug report did get an extra 350 "I have the same issue" reports compared to the base 400 reports so maybe they saw that?
