Great adventure! It turns out that the great riding is inside Tusheti and on the Abano Pass from Omalo to Phsaveli (Kakheti side) - you did a lot of schlepping up over those passes - respect!

Yes Chaukhi pass was quite tricky with the new built trail and deep switchbacks at least the way we did it but the other way around it could be better 🤔 and yes this route def required quite a bit of hike-a-bike 😅

@@eivissastefnot sure what were your expectations regarding people and culture. What we have here is a couple of foreigners, who obviously do not know the language, following a rather touristy trail. You shouldn't expect some deep cultural dive in this kind of a movie, it was not the goal - the goal was to show the trail and personal struggle. Personally, I am fine with it - there are very few bikepacking movies about this route, only "Trail to Kazbegi" comes to my midn right now.

Bummer that this video doesn't actually show any biking, traveling, or adventuring. Bikepacking in Georgia, where the locals believe "a guest is a gift from god" and the food is the best in the world, not even one shot of khinkali, Khachapuri, or even the famous wine. I'm really supposed to believe that the truck pulled over to offer a ride, just as the film crew happened to be set up there? Just pretty but staged shots with a professional support crew, not to tell a story better, but for advertising purposes. Shame.
