Medical Stories - Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) Josiah's Story

  • When Josiah began suffering headaches out of nowhere, the timing could not have been worse. His wedding to Lauren, his college sweetheart, was just a month away when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The visit to the neurosurgeon changed their lives but not their plans to marry. Three days after their wedding, Josiah underwent brain surgery. It was only then that the newlyweds learned that the full diagnosis was an aggressive form of brain cancer: Glioblastoma multiforme or GBM. With a careful treatment plan, and Lauren by his side Josiah is planning a future and keeping up his many interests. Watch Josiah’s courageous story on Medical Stories, the Emmy award-winning docuseries on PBS.
Medical Stories, is a new documentary film series produced for PBS / Public Television - taking viewers on an emotional and inspirational journey through cinematic storytelling, as the lens focuses on ordinary people going through extraordinary measures of courage and triumph.
The stories of these brave patients are revealed by their incredible willpower to help inspire, improve and transform the lives of others through their own personal narrative and are reinforced by leading medical experts in the field. At times, the patient experience connects them with a remarkable support base community, which often may help contribute to their positive outcome, through a vast foundation of hope and encouragement.
Please subscribe to our TH-cam channel and look for Josiah's story airing nationwide as part of a Public Television series entitled: Medical Stories. Check your, local PBS listings today! Or visit medicalstories.tv/ to learn more about this documentary series.

What a beautiful wife. So often the comments are focused on the patient and while I don’t at all discount the magnitude of Josiah’s diagnosis, the caretakers are absolutely amazing. The pain and suffering they experience are just as traumatic, sometimes worse. When you have a loved one who’s fighting with a bleak diagnosis, it’s all consuming. I love the fact they walk through this with Jesus. Life with trust in the Lord is so much easier when we put faith and trust in Him. He’s in control. God bless everyone reading this.

I just lost my best friend of 47 years from glioblastoma last many. My heart is broken. She was so beautiful inside and out. Her brother had passed from the same about 7 years ago and she was heartbroken. Little did we know she would develop the same. She was gone almost a year after diagnosis. i lost my husbad to GBM... it started with a headache that wouldnt go away and i called the ambulance after he vommited in the bed ( and he never ever would have done this ever) diagnosis was march 2014( size of a golfball and bleeding arround )- he died first of dec 2015 at home after 2 brain surgeries and of course full go on chemo ( Temozolomide and later on Haloperidol aso ) and radio ... he was so brave and positiv - our boys where 9 and 12 at that point - and he wanted to see them growing up so hard... now my boys are 20 and 17 and i think i got them through that journey good enough to detouch if needed but responsible when important... im so proud of all of them - my late husband and my boys ... i was a widow aged 36... i have seen a doc wich has a new therory- he basically bombards the brain - somehow can calculate where the tumor will travel and targets that area bevor it gets there to infact not making it possible for gbm to place itself there... ( as it only accurs in the brain and magically regrows ... mostly in a 3 cm range only in the brain

I hope they find a cure soon since meningiomas can reoccur. I’m just carrying on with mostly raw foods and OMAD fasting but my symptoms seems to me getting worse everyday. He is alive and doing so well! Some hiccups here and there, but God is blessing him and healing him! He is a normal person living day to day :) You would never know!

I really great thing to do is go to our great physician the Lord Jesus Christ and get into the word of all the healing scriptures and praise them over each other. You can also rebuke the spirit of cancer /infirmity /sickness /illness ;in Jesus name you can cast it out with the authority that Jesus gives you and tell it to go to the abyss and never return in the mighty matchless name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

He is a terrible human being. His studies are full of errors and misinformation. He’s been sued many times. He’s dangerous.
