Hey, I am right handed. I always use left hand like you to retrieve a spinning reel. You ever tried left handed bait caster . I have better casting holding rod with right hand.

I don't think he keeps the little ones he throws those back but he has lots of great friends and family who enjoy eating good fried fish so he probably keeps the ones that are big enough in size. The old fisherman is a really nice man

I keep my limit, that's the way I was raised. PS I throw a lot of fish back off camera when I change spots. Don't make it a habit of throwing them back on the spot, most of the time is will slow the bite.
