Sadly Chris died of Liver disease when he was 56. he was a famous rodeo champion as well as a great singer. I liked his original style & this is my favorite by him.
Chris Ledoux was an AMAZING entertainer, even after being a World Champion bareback rider. Not too many artists hold a candle to his stage show. He electrified a crowd and held them in his hand. Miss you Chris!
Chris was the 1976 Bronc Riding champion in professional rodeo. I met him at the Days of 47 rodeo in Salt Lake when I was riding in high school rodeos. What a gentlemen, and the pride of Kaycee Wyoming. Chris was a major influence on Garth Brooks, and mentioned in several of his songs. Chris Died in 2005 much to early. Check out his duet with Jon Bon Jovi, Bang a Drum.
The hook to this song is the fact that his buddy outsmarted the bikers. The story of the hat and where each piece came he made on the spot. Thats why he was smiling when he turned around. He connected with the bikers in a way they could respect and it got him out of a jam. Brilliant storytelling.
I don’t have a whole long list of rules, but one of the top 5 is do not touch my cowboy hat. I have several but one in particular that I’ve worn almost everyday for 27 years. It’s a part of me. It’s seen a lot. It’s kept the sun outta my eyes, rain off my head n neck, kept the snow and sleet off my head n neck too. It’s been with me to 48 states several times and 6 different countries. Seen its share of rodeos.
I loved everything about your reaction to a song I had never heard before. I am not typically drawn to country music, but I am beginning to appreciate different kinds of music lately. Tapped into Metal Music for the first time last Easter thanks to Dan Vasc's Videos and now I am a Metalhead!! Also watch the Voice and some of my favorite contestants sing country. So, your reaction popped up on my phone today and thought I would listen. What a fantastic message it has and how perfectly it is performed ! It left me with the same feeling as "Try That In A Small Town" by Jason Aldean. They both have the principle of standing up for yourselves and your community. In this song, the "community" was every cowboy that was in that room. Their code is to stand up and help each other out on the ranch or in a bar- it doesn't matter. True men do not go out picking fights with outsiders, but they are ready, willing, and able to take care of any trouble that comes along. Much respect to the good guys. 🤠 👍 Loved all of your comments and how much you enjoyed the whole video. 🤗
I can't thank you enough for this. I have been trying to get reactors to react to Chris Ledoux music. He never made a bad one. Listen to any of them and you will understand why he was Garth Brooks favorite singer. He was even in the one video, Five Dollar Fine.
The video was taken from the concert in Ogden Utah. I was there as a young man. Great performance still get chills and remember the feelings all these years later!
Chris was an amazing guy. Got to see him a couple times in concert and it was really energetic. Garth Brooks is a big fan of his and copied his concerts. His family recently made a music video for this song. His son Ned who performed with him and sounds eerily similar to him is in the video with one of his bandmates playing the “Cowboy” talking in the video. The video is very powerful. 4:46 I love how the song isn’t confrontational but an explanation of what the hat means and how he equates it to the bikers cut. You should definitely check out the actual music video they just released. I think you’ll really enjoy it.
Black Tornado is not racists ...... A Black tornado means you can see it miles away and know it is about to ruin your day. When my Dad retired from the Army my Big Brother was KIA in Nam. I did 24 in the Army... So this song means alot. I have my vest full colors in Germany. Everyone knows do not I say again do not touch my hat. push comes to shove ..... COWBOY UP. Peace Brother.
Rhiannon Gibbons is playing the fiddle on Texas Hold Em is a member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops. You like different vibes . Check out some of their stuff. Ned LeDoux is Chris s Son.
Every cowboy is the same. Our hat means more to us than anyone can even understand. And to threaten us about a taking it just means you are in for a fight you damn well won’t win.
a black tornado is a tornado that appear in a pitch black night sky. all you hear is the wind so you know its coming, but you dont know where, how close or what direction
After Chris Ledoux died from kidney cancer his long time friend Garth Brooks record a song called "Good Ride Cowboy" as a tribute to Chris, i do recommend doing a reaction to it,when you get a chance.
Living around Cowboys Road with Cowboys and bikers never got hat messed with the only thing that messed with my head and more than 20 years. Was my dog destroyed it because it smelled like me.
I had the privilege of going to a Chris LeDoux concert in the late 90's. The crowd went absolutely nuts when he played this!
I did too! The pyrotechnics and lighting where out of this world,..and Chris did not disappoint.
Me too, Jackson Tn I think between 92 and 94
Chris Ledoux - absolutely one of my favorite concerts I've ever seen!! 1997! May he forever RIP 🙏🏻
Chris was a winning Rodeo bronk rider. ❤❤😊, I enjoy your reactions very much. 😊😊

Chris LeDoux was a world champion cowboy too, not just a country music singer.
One of the most underrated singer's ever. His son is doing his music now

Speaking as a country boy (old man lol) from Texas, there are 2 things you don’t touch- my dog & my hat.
Check out Hooked on and eight second ride by Chris Ledoux

That isn't true. The lady of the man who wrote it said it was a true story.

Thank you so much. Chris is often called the cowboys' cowboy. We were robbed when he passed..
Chris LeDoux was a different breed of performer....his live performances were the best live shows ever
Got to see quite a few of them. VERY different fom the soft-spoken cowboy I met in Cheyenne.
Chris is awesome❤
Met Chris in Cheyenne. Soft-spoken gentleman and the Real Thing!
Used to listen to his eight tracks in the horse barn and have seen him many times in concert!
one of my favorites!!
LOVE THIS SONG AND LOVE YOUR REACTION! Thanks so much for allowing us to join you on your musical journey. It's a great ride!
Omg! Chris LeDoux is amazing! I loved him for YEARS! SO EXCITED you found him!
OMG I love this song! It's been awhile since I heard it. Thanks! ❤️🇺🇲💯
Real. Damned. Country. Good on ya for reviewing a legend.
This song is about Respect!!
As a cowboy, I can confirm the reverence a real cowboy has for his hat. They take it more seriously than the black community does with Jordan’s.
The hat means as much as the bikers vest , they had an understanding.
Farmboy / Cowboy strong ain't no joke.
One of my favorites
Love this song! RIP Chris LeDoux. Thank you

He is basically saying you can perform the impossible before you take that hat.
Nice interpretation I’m now a fan of you
A black tornado is referring to the really big ones, when they collect a ton of debris they get really dark and seem more intimidating
❤👏👏👏
Gotcha linking county 🎉
a black tornado is a tornado that appear in a pitch black night sky. all you hear is the wind so you know its coming, but you dont know where, how close or what direction
You ate so country to your roots... regardless of where you took our first lung full of air...👍
A Black Tornado is the Bull or Hoarse he’s riding in a rodeo, hanging on for dear life, preferably 8 Sec.

Rip chris
It's an old school, f around and find out type of song. Pretty much the way I live my life in a small town. Think you have reacted to that already
This is REAL country...Just LeDoux it baby!
I'm ready to fight if somebody messes with my ball cap. I can't imagine messing with someone's Cowboy hat.
😎👍
Chris and last name pronounced LaDoooo he was a great story teller. Sadly he has past on but glad his music carries on.
the old saying is never judge a book by it's cover it's what 's on the inside that counts
With cowboys it don’t matter what hat we have on …. Don’t touch.
