@NANCYandJ0NAthAN i didnt say a smokey eyes kit HAS to have a black i said if the other colours have low pigmentation a black is necassary. You couldn't get a dark to light smokey effect with these shadows, perhaps it would have been clearer had I swatched them
@xilovemusicbabyx me too! i sat down to film thinking wow this is gr8 n then lost it haha. i actually filmed a whole other video after this one thinking i was still ok but when i got it on the lapop it was pitch black d'oh!
@thistlerocks i would probably ony return something if it was high end just because theyre less likely to argue and its more money to just write off but as you said so much waste
@Kaylat0412 the eyeshadows and blushes are fantastic.. in fact I prett much ike everything but the base stuff.. haven't tried the pro foundations yet tho
What I love about Clinique is that you can get a refund on any products you don't like! I visited a Clinique desk in my local department store and they said to call Clinique head office and I got sent a cheque within a few weeks.
@surfluver03 gutting when that happens it ends up as expensive as higher end drugstore stuff when you account for all of the misses you buy from them x
It is when you take some of the product and rub it on the back of your hand or on your wrist to check to see how intense the color is. Hope that helps.
Your Avon quad looks like a repackaged version of one that I have. When I was doing my eyeshaadow cull I found it difficult to get rid of, for some reason! Anyway, I depotted the 2 greys into the Z-Pallette. The pink and the glittery white were doing nothing for me. I saved a lot of space that day :)
@FanaticMakeup94 if something is too drying your skin produces extra oil to make up for it which in turn breaks you out. I would guess that's what happened to you :(
@makeupgrl24 i feel the same my natural lashes r crap and curling mascaras definitely need natural length! i like maybelline 1 by 1 and loreal million lashes
I love these videos!! They help a lot, knowing what you specifically didn't like about a product or what you'd recommend instead because it's overwhelming sometimes going down the cosmetic isles and being drawn in by pretty packaging or prices :) I agree with you about elf, how they're hit or miss. I bought my favorite brush from them, then bought a replacement and it was awful :(
No, it's not oily at all. It's a product made specifically for the eye area and it removes even the most bulletproof eye-makeup, you can also use it to make eye compresses, when you have darkness or puffiness as it contains calming goodies...camomile, et cetera. Try it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I'm just about to purchase that Benefit mascara, after one of the girls put some on me the other day, I was impressed. I use Floracil eye-make up remover by Gatineau, which pretty much removes everything, it costs about 20 quid(around 400ml), but a bottle lasts about 5 months, which is economical in the long run.
I had a sample size of the Clinique moisturiser and I didn't really notice much difference until it ran out. I started breaking out nearly straight away so I bought the full size. But it doesn't seem to work now, or if it is working it's not as good as the sample size... weird!
I had the elf tickled pink blush and it was soo pigmented but then i re-purchased it and it wasn't pigmented at all! & i love the soap & glory face soap.. it makes my face really tingly and feel fresh, haha.. loved this by the way & i would love to see a #3 :) xx
I have the exact same Elf blushes as you, and had the exact same problem! I thought it was just that they were too light for my skin tone (I'm usually exactly in the middle of foundation ranges), because everyone always raves about them!
I agree with the ELF blushes. I bought the Pink Passion blush a while back and that was really nice. I recently purchased the Candid Coral and the Tickled Pink and these are rubbish. Especially the Tickled Pink which just looks ashy on my skin regardless of how much product I use.
I bought the benefit 'they're real' mascara and I didn't like it all either even though all my friends were raving about it. I feel the brush was too thin and it didn't really do much to improve my lashes compared to the BadGal. It's also, as you said, really difficult to remove :/
I think the Boots Botanics cleanser is supposed to be a cheaper option to the Eve Lom cleanser, not Liz Earle. The balmy, oily texture is very similar as it is oil based. I have used Eve Lom and the Boots one and I gotta say, it's similar.
@MissBudgetBeauty I have actually gotten mine in the mail since we last spoke and I really love it. I barely have to touch it with my angled brush and it's covered in product. I just have to sweep it over my highlight areas once. But I have been reading so many reviews that say completely different. I really think it's just bad batches which happens so much with elf for some odd reason lol.
I really liked the Soap & Glory Face Soap and Glory. I've used it nearly every day since I got the big splendour gift set and it makes me feel really fresh, but I guess we are all different.
I completely agree with you re: the James Brown products. I have another shampoo and conditioner from the range and they are no better than cheap own-brand products. I need to use a handful of the conditioner and my hair still feels dry. Please do more vids as it's useful to know which products to be wary of.
I love, love, love the Benefit they're real! It is hard to take off, but I use a "plumper" mascara first, then that one. It sticks to the first mascara and is far easier to remove. Plus, it makes your lashes look huge and long and it separates perfectly;)
Loved this! I really like the soap and glory face wash, I've been using it for a while and it's really helped my dryness! I now have no dry patches whatsoever, strange :p x
I just ordered an elf blush in gotta glow and now I regret it.. I will be receiving it on the 20th (their shipping is so slow). I will let you know if I hate it or not. Also what is this lavender color on your ring finger? I LOVE it.
i've never had streaking problems with the True Match foundation, but i always use my fingers :) thanks for the video, it's good to know why things don't work for certain people.
Hi hun, I suffer real bad dry skin after washing it, the best thing ive found so far is Simple's Moisturising Foaming Facial Wash, try it hun its about £3 in superdrug let me know how you get on............ dont get the moisturisers in the little white bottles, they are crap xx
I love so much of my elf products and only a few have been disappointing. The hit and miss of it sucks so much but I suppose with the cheap price they are still worth a try.
You should try bad gal lash by benefit, it's much much better than they're real and i had high expectations for the they're real mascara because I LOVE bad gal so much and have them in all the colors, etc but was disappointed with they're real. bad gal is also much much easier to remove. it's just an all around great mascara.
@NANCYandJ0NAthAN i didnt say a smokey eyes kit HAS to have a black i said if the other colours have low pigmentation a black is necassary. You couldn't get a dark to light smokey effect with these shadows, perhaps it would have been clearer had I swatched them
@scenieslayer thank you! i actually think i still have that so it will be going back up x
testing colour or formula on your hand.. so like putting a bit on your skin to indicate what it will look like on your eyes for example
@Beautyox I've seen a lot of that in these comments.. elfs so inconsistent.. will make more x
@PanduhPops i'd bet you could buy the blushes again and theyd be different
@Kikimora80 glad you liked it x
@xilovemusicbabyx me too! i sat down to film thinking wow this is gr8 n then lost it haha. i actually filmed a whole other video after this one thinking i was still ok but when i got it on the lapop it was pitch black d'oh!
@spacetimecontinuum is it oily? if not i must have some!
@nataliexx2010 glad to hear it I will definitely make more x
@pinkblackwitch as do i and its just awful on me.. so so patchy i very very rarely us a foundation brush x
@spacetimecontinuum ooh a must try then for sure x
@GumbyWho thanks! i'm trying to put it in oerspective but its hard to accept :(
@thailandwoodward i believe you but HATE oils which is my only reason for disliking the mascara
@emilylikessmakeup i think i was expecting the more expensive stuff to be better.. I should just stick to the £1.50 range
@thistlerocks i would probably ony return something if it was high end just because theyre less likely to argue and its more money to just write off but as you said so much waste
@BeautyCreep just goes to show how personal skincare is
@Kaylat0412 the eyeshadows and blushes are fantastic.. in fact I prett much ike everything but the base stuff.. haven't tried the pro foundations yet tho
@D10124298 exactly! I tried the philip kingsley elastisizer recently and EVERYONE loves that.. not me :(
@tiffyaponte will do x
@rshortvideos i want something that will remove makeup and as you say.. quick.. not that then
@redblaze82 its really just not there in mine unfortunately
@xBAMitsbeauty will do x
i agree about the elf blushes in tickled pink, it has no colour! but the blushes from the elf normal line are amazing! xx
@EllieBenadi combination sometimes oily sometimes dry x
@DearCatelin gotta glow is a highlight so not so bad! and i think it was models own utopia with sinful colours i miss you over top x
@msbutterflybaybee from where lol? x
@dugdade i so wish the blushes were good coz the colours and packaging are awesome! glad to hear u feel the same about jb not just me x
@boky11111 will do and thanks! i'm trying to put it in perspective but its hard to accept :(
@AliceFromCloser then i shall make more x

@surfluver03 gutting when that happens it ends up as expensive as higher end drugstore stuff when you account for all of the misses you buy from them x
@whhoooo i didnt think it would be a totally dud product coz s&g are gr8 but this wasnt for me
@emochemical91 I'm planning to buy that as I've heard its great with the clarisonic
It is when you take some of the product and rub it on the back of your hand or on your wrist to check to see how intense the color is. Hope that helps.
@TheLondonLass really bad to say theyre kind of high end and will do x
@CharsBeautyCorner thankyou x

Anyway, I depotted the 2 greys into the Z-Pallette. The pink and the glittery white were doing nothing for me. I saved a lot of space that day :)
@MoonlightPeach glad its not just me x
@FanaticMakeup94 if something is too drying your skin produces extra oil to make up for it which in turn breaks you out. I would guess that's what happened to you :(
@makeupgrl24 i feel the same my natural lashes r crap and curling mascaras definitely need natural length! i like maybelline 1 by 1 and loreal million lashes
@sejbomb might have to give that a go
I love these videos!! its up already :)
@xoleighsylvia i'll give it a go but it was like that from day one :(
The soap and glory face soap works really well for my combination skin! and i think it really does have a brightening effect for me.
@TheBeautyFiend13 yes! on the whole I like the quads but that one is terrible
@Qu33neY thank you x

@wildkatmakeup Thanks! I so wanted to love it! such a shame 'cause the match was great :(
I had a sample size of the Clinique moisturiser and I didn't really notice much difference until it ran out. I started breaking out nearly straight away so I bought the full size. But it doesn't seem to work now, or if it is working it's not as good as the sample size... weird!
@jazzer53 I've never tried the evelom but guessing I wouldn't like it lol

@KimUnforgiven yep.. rubbish!
@blissHeavenly haha thanks x
@HowToDealWithBeingEm that's awesome!
I'd try scrape off the top layer of the Elf blushers, maybe the product has dried out a little?
@ThirtyishMish we are indeed
@msbutterflybaybee its so so nice i will be buying that v soon. I decided my blog sale money doesn't count for my spending ban :p

could you re upload/ film the video about which hair care products you are using xxxx
my tickled pink is EXACTLY the same - no pigmentation whatsoever, yet some of the other elf blushes are extremely pigmented. it's bizarre!
@aleyautopsy must try that
I bought the benefit 'they're real' mascara and I didn't like it all either even though all my friends were raving about it. I feel the brush was too thin and it didn't really do much to improve my lashes compared to the BadGal. It's also, as you said, really difficult to remove :/

@melissabishopxox I'm not a massive fan of higher end mascaras
Can you tell me what lipgloss you used?
I hope you get you vids back hunny xx I loved this vid , truthful and to the point , with a lil chatty part :)
@mrslisarobbins yay for C&C

I know what you mean - my Elf blushers are amazing - they're so pigmented but I don't think I'll risk buying it again. :(
I completely agree with you re: the James Brown products. I have another shampoo and conditioner from the range and they are no better than cheap own-brand products. I need to use a handful of the conditioner and my hair still feels dry.

I got the ELF blush in pink passion, and it was SUPER pigmented.
@ella33388 i didnt but thank you x
@irishbogger20 it does indeed
I like these kind of videos, just as helpful as favorites videos.
@serahlouisex xactly how i feel
I love so much of my elf products and only a few have been disappointing. The hit and miss of it sucks so much but I suppose with the cheap price they are still worth a try.
That is so weird, because my elf blushes are amazingly pigmented! I hope I get good ones next time as well haha
You should try bad gal lash by benefit, it's much much better than they're real and i had high expectations for the they're real mascara because I LOVE bad gal so much and have them in all the colors, etc but was disappointed with they're real. bad gal is also much much easier to remove. it's just an all around great mascara.
@nicky09fairy glad I could help
@4390evans I'm interested! will give it a go
