      @How to dispose a 'ز' you’re right I was opening myself up a lot to legit criticism when I say things like “no family member” and “always” bc that immediately ruins my point.
      If there’s history, etc then it can surely be believable. I’m more just speaking about cases like this, or when a “bright, athletic, vibrant popular high school student” commits suicide.
      Frequently, unless drugs are involved, family and friends of an outwardly appearing healthy person are surprised when it happens. Surely after the fact, many can say there were signs, but that’s hindsight- otherwise, we’d have done something to stop it if it seems obvious after.

      Our tax dollars pay their salaries. Gov't employees are often poor performers or non-performers, having the attitude that they are oh-so-entitled. By that I mean entitled to their paycheck and benefits like medical, dental, paid vacation, sick leave, and retirement income, not to mention "qualified immumity" which means they can never be prosecuted for anything they might do that is illegal, but the rest of us would be hung for. We foot the bill for all of them, but even worse: Who are you gonna call? The police? No, they ARE the police, and they know that's exactly how it stands. Excessive force, police brutality & killings, and mass incarceration all have the same roots & the same end. Who's gonna take them to task & hold them accountable? A video catching them in the act and a civil suit are all I know of, IF you live to tell about it & IF you can afford it. Many don't & many can't. That, 'they" are also well aware of, which plays into their hand. Nice, huh?

    12 minutes in, and 2 things really stand out to me: First, a grieving mother should NOT have to bear the burden of investigating the death of her own son. Second, it is shocking that almost no investigation was done, considering it involved the son of a former member of their law enforcement team. Cops are notorious for standing up for each other, even when it is not warranted or justified, and even when it is a former or retired member, or a member of a different LE department.
    It is absolutely outrageous that this family had to deal with this level of incompetence and negligence, all while dealing with the worst thing that can happen to a parent.

    This is nuts. I have family in Darlington/Sumter SC. It's crazy to me that they were so hell bent on not investigating this girl. Why? Does she have family in law enforcement? This isn't passing the sniff test. Love how the sheriff dodge the question about the investigator being qualified to investigate, and kept repeating that she'd qualified to be a sheriff deputy. Crazy!

    • @GlamorganManor
      @GlamorganManor 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      There is definitely something sinister going on here. Reeks of the Hollis Sledd case, also in SC. Seems like the norm there is to use one's elected office for personal gain and cover up their own slimy behavior. The Sheriff in the Caleb James' case said the "investigator" was qualified to work in the Sheriff's office, not as a deputy or as an investigator. She obviously wasn't working as a regular road deputy, she doesn't wear a uniform at her job. Seems the Sheriff was choosing his words carefully so a lie could not be held against him later. "Office" is intentionally vague... his words could be explained later as meaning anything, including qualified to work in the physical office building.

    • @chrisnine11
      @chrisnine11 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yeah... And actually he never even said she was qualified to be a sheriff's deputy, he just kept repeating she was qualified to be employed by the Darlington county sheriffs office. Well, that would basically be saying an admin assistant or records clerk, who's also qualified to be employed by the sheriff's office, could go out and solve cases? There's a big difference in being qualified to work at the sheriff's department and being qualified to be a deputy or investigator. Sounds to me like he knows his office screwed up big time and instead of just owning that one or several investigators screwed up, he's willing to take his whole office down.

      The boy was also clearly an abuser. No innocence here.
      His Mother sticks up for him n his scowl....she thinks it’s ok for her son to block the girl from knowing where he is going?
      Is that how she wants to be treated by her husband?
      Does this show trust? ....It nuts for the boy to block his girl from knowing where he is going, so they are together for 2 full years and instead of her being able to fully trust him and him showing he is trustworthy .....he shows himself not being devoted n trustworthy to a girl he is likely sleeping with , and he is in her bedroom alone?
      There’s more to this story.
      And this subject of investigations has nothing to do with the abuses of both kids n the crazy parents: The incompetence of a Sherrif’s office is not something new. These officers globally barely know the laws and none of them hardly know how to do an investigation n this is everywhere and not just here.
      They barely have high school educations n they actually don’t even protect the citizens, They do as they are told.
      My personal conclusion is The parents allowed all this bad behavior and didn’t teach the kids to be honorable n trustworthy n kind to one another n protecting each other, bringing peace to one another.
      I don’t believe that they did not refrain from handcuffing her because of the officers prior incompetence, that doesn’t make sense, it seems as if they don’t believe she is guilty, they seem as if they think the boy is guilty... n why is the dad not working with the police? Why is he independent?
      Why didn’t the girl trust the boy?
      Why did the mom of the boy stick up for the scowls on his face?
      Why did everyone including the mom think it was ok to be in the boys bedroom alone?
      Why would a trustworthy kind boy block his more than just girlfriend ( intimate) from knowing where he was going and why would anyone think this behavior is ok?
      Why were they always playing a game pretending they would shoot each other, are they nuts in the head or is it a lie?
      How could she get a gun in his mouth n pull the trigger with his consent?
      Why had the mom done all the work n not the boys dad?
      N I have so many questions.
      Too many here are jumping to conclusions that we don’t have the answers to. I’d like to know the answers to all these questions I have. So far I see many problems with all of them including the boy n his parents.

    Long story short : My nephew committed suicide on a holiday . Everyone in the home ( including an elderly aunt) was questioned , individually . Everyone's hands were swabbed for gs residue . The investigators from the start , explained the process and why it was happening . The police treated the situation as a possible murder . Until the coroner's office released their findings . I would think all suicides that occurred within the home ( with others present ) would be handled like my nephews . All possibilities should be explored when an act of violence occurs .

      That's exactly how it went when my brother in law committed suicide. The whole house was locked down, nobody could return for numerous days while they did blood splatter analysis, etc. My sister was taken in for what amounted to roughly 18 hours or more of interrogation, since she was his wife, and present when it happened, they focused mostly on her as a "possible suspect." Investigators spent many, many hours questioning and re-questioning everything, including family members who weren't even there when he killed himself. GS residue tests on everything, even clothes. It was totally and 100% handled as a murder investigation until the facts proved otherwise. If I recall correctly (this happened 30+ years ago), it was at least a month or 2, maybe 3 months before anything was determined / known for sure. Why this particular sheriff's department didn't do a PROPER investigation is beyond me, and frankly, they should be in a lot of trouble. I personally suspect they were protecting the murderer. What connections do they all have to each other? Every single one of them involved in the cover up needs to be fired, and if possible, prosecuted. Good thing they weren't handling the Jodi Arias case, right? Smdh.

Shawn was walking home from night school he and my daughter attended together and ran into this POS who was putting hands on his sis, he had a conversation regarding him putting hands on her and they fought and he was slammed to the ground and head slammed into the curb crushing his skull. It was a horrible time for his mother. She ended up dying from cancer shortly after they convicted that guy. There is something very sinister going on in and around this Sheriffs department. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere near, in or around this County…(including any adjacent counties). God be with all of the innocent people who may fall victim to these inept and untrained law enforcement officers and/or employees. 🙏🏼🤷🏻‍♀️

      sinister implies that they have the brain cells and cognitive function required to ignore or overlook a murder..... and im 99.7% sure that is **NOT** possible..... Honestly this is more of a ignorant situation where these "investigators" didn't want to do paperwork or investigate anything at all.... they just said "Meh, she said he shot himself... so let's go ahead and file this as a suicide cause its easier".... sadly....

    Very similar case happened in Puerto Rico. A teenager “killed” himself at his girlfriends house by “accident”. The girlfriend was abusive towards him. She’s seen in camera slapping him. It was ruled an incident-suicide. The girls mother is a prestigious lawyer, before she called for help she first called the most prestigious lawyer in Puerto Rico who arrived before ambulance/police. The mother of the guy who died have always said that it was his girlfriend who did it but it was ruled out as accident-suicide and case closed. So sad she’ll never have Justice for her son.

    A *MOTHER KNOWS!!!* It is instinctual that a mother KNOWS when it comes to her precious babies. We know in our gut when something is not right. That is ALL that there is to it!!! This mother was NOT going to let her son's murderer go free without punishment!!! *GO MAMA!!!* There is absolutely NOTHING like a MAMA bear 🐻 when it comes to her precious cubs.

    This is awful what I believe. I believe he broke it off with her and she shot him and killed him. That's is pure evil. That office is incompetent as hell. They hate to admit they failed at their duty of investigating this young man's death. It's clear he was murdered. That office need to be under investigation something is seriously wrong here. No one wants to take responsibility for their negligence in handling this young man's case/murder.

The pain they have gone thru, and are still going thru.. 🙏🕊💖💜.. The coroners office has to sign off on these.. isnt that the law? If THEY say accident then its and accident etc.. wow
