    I just wrote down all the roles in my business and identified 21 different 'departments' and I'm currently doing 20 of them!This is clarity indeed. Armed with this information I can start working out who to hire!

    • @CEOEntrepreneur

      20! 😱 So many! Identifying what you are doing in your business is a great start - making hires is going to free up so much of your time so you can begin working on the more important stuff. Nice work!

      I'm not sure whether this will be relevant to you or not, there's an AWS Skills-Based Workforce Segmentation Model which I found interesting. It could help define which functions are most critical in enabling your business strategy. Then you can double-down your investment in those roles and once you have resources at your disposal you could then focus on other roles which strengthening.
      Not sure if that makes sense but look it up.

    Very well-thought-out video. My favorite moments were, You may need IT like it's 2020, lol. The second one was, well, I forgot because the first one had me rolling with the office clip. I have not read the book Rocket Fuel but you are correct, I am a visionary who constantly tries to be the Integrator. As you know the struggle of a Solepowered CEO is finding the right people in the right seats and how to afford them. I appreciate your video mostly because I assume you have at one time been through the same struggles.

    I think this is a good start, but not complete and a bit unstructured. Also, seen from personality type perspective there are two types missing. Yes most businesses get started with golden pairings like Apple (Steve Jobs ENTJ and Woz INTP) or Microsoft (Paul Allen ENTP and Bill Gates INTJ) but soon enough they team up with the missing 2 persons in their vertical to get a whole of 4. That's:
    1 - Structure type
    2 - Starter type
    3 - Finish type
    4 - Behind the scenes type
    It's incomplete imo to binary distinct between visionary or integrator when there are these 4 combinations. Linda Beerens has done great work on that.

    Thank you so much for all of these tips, tools and resources. I created a document from the one you supplied so that this week I can have a meeting with my admin for a strategy session we have scheduled. One thing though and I hope you don't take this personally, I was disappointed that under the headers of each section: IT, marketing, Sales etc that you had commentary about why it was important which seemed self explanatory but you didn't have any bullet points of what each section's roles and responsibilities would include. Therefore, I only found about half of this document helpful. The headers were very helpful and the graphs and charts were helpful but after extracting the helpful information out of the 15 page document, only 2 pages worth were helpful for me. I just wanted you to know this because you obviously put a lot of passion and care into your material and I can tell you genuinely want to help people.

    • @CEOEntrepreneur
      @CEOEntrepreneur  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Candice, thank you for your feedback and I don’t take this personally at all… listening to your audience is a crucial part of the continuous improvement feedback loop. I completely understand what you’re saying. The pdf was aimed for people a little bit before your stage of business. There are many business owners who operate as solopreneurs and don’t know that these functions exist or why they’re important. (What’s obvious to us sometimes isn’t obvious to others. Eg I’ve asked many solopreneurs in the past if they have a legal function in their business and they say ‘no’ we’re not that big… to which I respond ‘do you not do contracts, terms and conditions, privacy policies, legal structure of your business … ‘ and they say ahhh! Maybe I do … I’ve just been doing it myself I guess. That was the reason for explaining these functions. We do go into roles responsibilities and systems in much more detail in our programme but do also stay tuned as I’m soon releasing another video on systems which will tie to the functions video and break down these functions in a bit more detail, which I think is what you were looking for. But I hear you and we will go back to this pdf and see if we can trim it down somewhat. So thank you so much for your valuable feedback. It’s really important we make sure we’re giving out the right information out whilst also respecting your time 😊

    I took your quiz. My issue has always been growing to fast without the infrastructure to support my desire to expand. I took your quiz and found it helpful. However, I noticed that your target market is towards those who are already somewhat succeeding (6 figures or more) and want to scale. DO you have a program that are for us chumps who are struggling but not a start up and are serious and not a hobbyist?

      Hi Candice, 6 figures means if you’re turning over $100k per year so do try to book in a free strategy session and we’ll see whether or not you’re a good fit for the programme. Actually based on what you’ve said in the comments on this channel, it may be the right stage of business you’re in. You don’t need to be succeeding l. in fact most people that sign up to the programme are quite overwhelmed. You can book a free strategy session on our Firestarter page ceoentrepreneur.com/Firestarter … looking forward to having a chat wit you and getting to know your business a bit more. We will be honest with you if we feel it’s not the right fit. But the strategy session will provide a lot of value and clarity anyway so it’s worth it for that at the very least.

    how do you tell if you are visionary or integrator

    • @CEOEntrepreneur
      @CEOEntrepreneur  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Would you like me to do a video on this? The simplest way is to ask yourself are you someone who jumps from idea to idea and hates the details (visionary) or do you not have a great vision 5 years into the future but you enjoy the details of tasks and processes (integrator)

    So, should my executive secretary be an integrator? I do not have a partner.

    • @CEOEntrepreneur
      @CEOEntrepreneur  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, they can be. But it's important to understand skills required for an integrator and as you grow there may be a need for a more senior leader to step in. Your exec secretary can definitely fill that role if you feel they are equipped

      You can contact me via our website. Go to ceoentrepreneur.com and use the contact form to get in touch. But also I would advise you to take the free business triage quiz here ceoe.co/triage-yt. It will help us both to understand where you are in your business. Looking forward to it!

    What kind of statistical data might a burglar alarm company employ in trying to convince urban homeowners to purchase it's product? Please I need the answer in the comment here

    • @lboogy1708
      @lboogy1708 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm thinking about police annual reports on vandalism and burglary. Statistics could be found in your local newspaper or agencies doing stats for the government. Hope it helps

    • @CEOEntrepreneur
      @CEOEntrepreneur  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes I agree... This video was released towards the beginning of this channel and all the 'goo-roos' said to do that. I have come to realise it's pointless and actually annoying. Why would someone subscribe before even watching the content. So you will see that in the more recent videos, I've stopped doing this. Thanks for your comment. I appreciate the constructive feedback :)

      If you look through the channel, there are many videos addressing how solopreneurs should tackle their business functions. In the beginning you will be wearing the hat for many and as you grow, these will be delegated/outsourced. Watch this video for more clarity: th-cam.com/video/ZMQM3UdtXF0/w-d-xo.html
