Storm is pretty much perfect here. It’s a wonder why Hasbro didn’t just make her a deluxe figure. She would have sold extremely well! And yeah, Thunderbird should have really come with fisted hands. Thanks for the great review!
Rob Pollock it makes sense to me. They knew she would sell well, so they packed her in with a much less desirable figure that they put minimal effort/money into, making a lot more profit than they would have selling them separately.
Print Rabbit I’m just as anxious for a 70’s Storm as I am for Thunderbird or a Banshee revision. Or heck, even a 70’s Moira figure! I know I’m in the minority though. But I can’t disagree with you. Storm has way more mainstream appeal. I’m just saying, I would have happily purchased Thunderbird single carded. I’m still hoping Bastion and the Prime Sentinels are made available single carded.
Rob Pollock I can see a good amount of people wanting to complete the team on the giant-size cover, I’m still toying with the idea of getting Thunderbird but I don’t think their execution is worth retail. Moira would be great, potential fan channel or 2-pack with the professor. I may sell Bastion and the others if they sell for a lot, just to bring the price down. The Sentinel cost £350 /$450 😭 I wanted 2-3 but at that price I got just 1

Thunderbird head on Warpath actually looks good and proportionate. Maybe when I have both, I'll do a headswap but place Warpath's hair on T-bird's head. Then I will have a good looking Warpath and a fodder body I can use for customs.
I had some good luck finding this two pack, found it for 25 bucks (60% discount at that store) and was the last on stock.

Thanks for this review. I was concerned about the elbows based on the complaint posts in FB groups but watching this review calmed me. They look fine even with the disc showing up. I ordered two! Phew! 😅
I think they have storm a plastic cape this time because the 90s storm has her cape attached to her wrists where as this one isn’t.

I definitely love the plastic cape better because it looks much cleaner. I thought the soft goods cape on the Jim Lee Storm were kinda flimsy and sloppy especially on the parts attached to the wrists. The Toybiz version with the soft plastic cape was much more dramatic.
I hope we’ll have an alternative Storm head sculpt with blue eyes
X-men two packs are all very nice. This Storm is worth the wait. What no head swaps between Storm and Thunderbird?

It was cloth because it attached to the arm. This one is plastic because it doesn't.
Thunderbird has long neck maybe because the head is bigger than his body. I think Thunderbird should've bulkier and taller body mold.
Behind The C the perfect body mold the thunderbird figure should have been is the Hercules body.
This is where I kick myself for passing up the Cyclops/Dark Phoenix 2-pack twice at TRU. Was trying not to fall deep into ML. What was I thinking???
With a little paint, and some determination I'm sure you could make a great custom out of that Sugarman wave Morph figure, and the retro wave X-factor Cyclops

Thunderbird: Shawty want that neck, call me neckst up.
I thing the issue with Thunderbird is a matter of the head sits a little high on the neck (hasbro tends to do this a lot to give it more head tilt but if not done right which happens in the most cases it ends up making the figure look like it has a long neck), as for storm those electricity hands are pretty bad, specially since its seems they are molded to have some of the electric efect going around the fingers and they seemed to just paint everything regardless of the sculpt. Still a nice looking set, though with it being Target Exclusive hopefully it wont be extremely hard to get for people outside of US and Canada
Henry Pascal I agreee that the herc body is way better but I wasn’t really talking about the choice of body they made for this figure I was walking of how E says that the neck looks a little long and that I think that has to do with hasbro fitting the heads high to give the figures tilt which make the necks look longer than they should
I think the reason why they gave Thunderbird a smaller build compared to his brother Warpath was because of the fact that Thunderbird didn't live long enough to achieve his full potential as a mutant with the X-Men. He died in only second mission. Warpath, on the hand, started out as big as his older brother at 6'1 with the same physique and power but later evolved into a much more powerful mutant and actually grew to be as big as 7 feet tall.

I almost bought this set because it was on clearance 24.99 idky. It stinks tbh especially for 50 bucks hell no. I don't need that version of Storm and absolutely hate the Thunderbird figure i respect the character because i am half Native American and they are rarely featured in comics, figures etc plus he died in the second X-Men mission in the comic. Storm looks cool but i got the white costume Storm retro and fine with that. Really the Thunderbird figure is complete crap and on the wrong body especially compared to his brother Warpath which is a great figure and hard to find now. I got the Magneto/Professor X 2 pack along with Wolverine/Logan 11.00 and Mystique 11.00 both on clearance it's 24.99 for the Magneto/Professor X 2pack since i couldn't find old man Logan/old man Hawkeye 2pack also 24.99 at Target stores on clearance currently. Happy hunting

Sum Teng Wong There are TRU stores in Canada that are carrying this set right now and I believe TRUs in Asia. Sadly we don’t have TRU in the US and so here this set is a Target Exclusive.
Nobody notices the new sculpt of the buttocks, panty line is separate from the butt cheeks. And that should be that way from the start
