Hi, Soumi and Akhil hope you both are doing well. Does CFA help in getting into Investment banking?? Do we have to clear CA to get into IB? I heard they prefer candidates with MBA+ CA. Also heard that you need technical skills like coding and advanced maths to get into the market side of IB and for M&A MBA is enough. Can you do a a detailed video on IB roles? It will be helpful. 😊
Hi Soumi, loved this video. I have a question, since Akhil has now good experience and is at senior level, even at this level there is lack of work-life balance, 80+ hours of work week, or does it get better in terms of number of hours as you move up the ladder? Even if you can share your experience as a consultant with working hours when you move upwards (increase or decrease) that would be great. Intent to ask is, for short amount of time of 5-10 years, I'm ready to have work life imbalance for better pay, but in long run want work life balance especially in terms of number of hours. If you can answer, it would really help me. .thank you :)
Definitely improves with seniority. Risk increases and u get smarter to catch things faster + guide juniors. But it will never be as good as others where u r not expected to work at all on weekends or after 6/7 PM. Here u always will be if work demands
@@Adarshsingh-nx3su yes i could'nt my friend but i am commerce graduate and working in Investment banking domain and with my hard earned money i financially supported my cousin to crack IIT and he is working for reputed PSU that too in engineer. There are so many fraud engineers from IIT and NIIT working in finance domain shame on those fraud engineers

Engineering gives false hopes to class 11 , 12 th boys and girls and after that reality pinches 🥲 It's very bad field , rather take mbbs , atleast what is taught that can be applied to the real life world as a panacea and relieving mankind ! Engineering is all about iski topi uski sar and building connection by laughing forcefully on the bad jokes of seniors 🙏

If you are not from Tier 1 colleges, chances are bare minimum. IIT, IIMs, CA(only Rank holders with other CV spikes)
Yes CFA helps - all of these are good to show interest in finance for the first entry point. After that ur workex will speak for itself
