People getting mad for AV getting nerfed after his season, while simultaneously getting mad for Surtur getting nerfed during his season, is a great example of how unbearably whiney this community (Marvel Snap community, not specifically KMBest community) can be. And the argument that they should make the perfect cards that never need buffed or nerfed is absolutely absurd, too. Ppl actually argue that, im not making it up. If someone thinks this game is badly balanced, go play literally any TCG. You'll be back here and you will be suspiciously quiet
I think this is disingenuous. Both these cards were behind a paywall and very obviously broken before release. They both had above average stats for their cost bracket on top of overpowered abilities. Most people said these cards are too powerful and SD knew what they were putting out. Its pretty awful that SD release a card, let a bunch of people buy it due to FOMO, and then after the fact nerf it and thus rushing to buy it became arguably pointless. Its not fair on the players who specifically bought the card and every player who had to play against it dealing with a beefed up version that was paywalled. Every live service game will retroactively ban or change releases if theyre too broken thats whats normal, what isnt normal is creating a predatory system which exploits a player for wanting to play the game and being punished for involving themself too much in the game. Ive not even mentioned about how long it takes to save the required tokens to buy these cards that some will feel were wasted. My biggest issue since starting this game has always been card acquisition is too slow and unfulfilling. And as long as thats not fixed i'll always talk against retroactive card changes as it punishes everyone playing the game.
@tbu987ify go play a TCG. Where every set has a broken card to sell the set. Then that card inevitably gets banned, not changed. As in you literally can not use it competitively. Now compare that to a card getting a one power nerf to balance it. Quit being a baby. The whole point of putting out new cards is to get ppl to acquire them. They will always lean on the side of being too good and needing nerfed a little. We are talking 1 power point differences, not releasing something like Elsa and Surfer that are completely broken. There is no "predatory" system here. Both new cards are still good. You still have a good buy.
It's not that this game is poorly balanced, it's that only like 5% of its players actually have the means to play the cards they release. Dont think of balance in the sense that "if you have full collection and I face someone with full collection, it's balanced" Think of it more like, "I started this game recently and I am too far behind to ever compete because almost every useful cards in this game are S5" The criticism is warranted. But I agree that MS is a great game. But it is a casual game and will always be a casual game. I will never try my hardest in this game because the game doesn't allow it and it would just be a waste of time and effort. But as a casual pot limit poker TCG toilet game? Phenomenal. And I think more people need to take this approach. Don't be so mad about balance, don't be mad about not being able to catch the META, just accept your fate that you're paywalled out and enjoy it for what it is, a fun game meant to be played for fun.
it's unsurprising to hear thanos is underwhelming when the stones no longer have much value by themselves also luke cage has consistently been one of the most annoying cards in the game since the release of high evo, becauae of what he enables to exist. if he's in the meta half of your games turn into draw luke cage or lose.
Ive been liking him in token Destroy. Use tokens like Squirre girl and Shanna as well as stones to cheapen Mocking Bird. Then kill them whenever you can with Carnage, Venom, Killmonger. All fueling Knull (gets to like 12+ consistently) and Death. Thanos himself I only play if I played all stones and if I can keep power stone to drop late turn. Otherwise hes there just to thin the deck.
I can honestly say I've never cared to much about cards being nerfed or buffed. It's just a game with an ever changing atmosphere. Learn to adapt ( life lesson ) . Keep of the great work KM. I enjoy your content !!
Yeah, I hope thanos can come back. I have noticed misery is actually really good in the deck, it is to the point where sometimes I even get the exodia condition. Lockjaw isn't bad either and maybe you can find a place to put surtur in there
Ive been playing dracodump with malekith and cosmo instead of gwenpool and war machine and its been really good honestly, like the original deck its kinda dependent on draws but malekith really helps on drawing the big guys consistently
I cant play any of these decks in their exact form u posted but honestly none of these archetypes interest me, so not a big loss for me. Cool decks and thanks for the upload, keep up the great work! Posting every day is wonderful commitment.
Honestly I was just thinking the other day how annoying Arishem decks can be with an extra energy every game at the start, and not realizing until they get something ahead of curve, that a very fair and fitting nerf to further balance that deck would've been to make them start with their useless 7/7 in hand like Thanos. Then I see the patch notes now and they changed it from Thanos lmao. Maybe that's a hot take but I do kind of hate Arishem with the guaranteed energy gain and their meta decks.
There are several cards like Marvel Boy, Gilgamesh, and Sasquatch that weren't around the last time Thanos was popular if memory serves. Hell, even Black Swan being activate makes her a more reliable option in that deck. I tried Skaar too, but like you say, why go through all that effort to reduce his cost against decks that do it by default?
I love move bounce, I tested that version u showed, but I really don't like Frigga that much. I'm running Juggernaut instead (a totally match winner), Dr Strange instead of Toxin, and Cosmo instead of Agent Venom. The combo of Strange in a lane pulling a huge dude and Juggernaut in another lane is an absolute cubes machine
Is there any good scaling package with Thanos? Or any scaling card that Thanos would make better? We don’t have the control cards that Thanos thrived on before. I wonder if there are scaling cards or something? Black Swan + Agent Venom + Gwenpool in Thanos maybe?
Problem with me been a newer player in pool 3, the 1 and 2 power cards are 4/5 so have to wait till they are in store or spotlight. Looking at the upcoming spotlights one good and one ok card one poop
I view affliction in this meta the same way I viewed Lockdown during the Hela meta and Darkhawk in the Arishem days "the only thing more annoying than the best deck in the game is the deck played to counter it"
Kinda sucks that the immediate move from the playerbase after the Thanos buff was to just make him worse Skaar. Surely there's more than can be done with him (that isn't a mid destroy deck) right?
Nebula is pretty nice because people play things on her location, so you can put Kraven and kingpin elsewhere and pull stuff there, or move stuff to the nebula lane to fill it up
Time to check in on the new snap Meta! Oh, I still can’t build any of these top 10 decks? Back to Pokémon pocket it is. Still upset they gutted Darkhawk by nerfing rockslide for literally zero reason.
I’m pretty much over Shadow King at this point. He’s effectively become the best tech card in the game, and I don’t think the best tech should be a 2-cost.
I just dont get that Dracula deck. I played it for 10 games and got dog walked, the cards are so random and dont really work if you dont get just the right draw.

They should change Luke cage back to having the location restriction
To me, I feel like a good Thanos deck is going to use Misery. She just seems like one of the best tools for the deck rn.
If you're getting rid of him take away cosmo and mobius
Ive been liking him in token Destroy.

The first move deck is outrageously good. The power sticks you are throwing down is insane. 👍

Thanos evolved (afflict) is the thanks deck. High evolutionary is godly for fixing the math.
What a banger video. Excellent as always.
The invincible reference was unhinged. Touché.
You’re consistency is crazy, I can pretty much always count on having something too watch at work
The best decks I’ve been using have been either the. sizer Move deck (dropped Mobius for Dr Strange) and a Ronan/Wiccan deck that I cooked up

Really wish hydra bob wasnt series 5
get praying, series drops are coming and if they feel generous we might get a S4 Bob
@WFO_SonicSpeed naw they definitely won't do bob. He's in almost every deck in this video.

Black Swan + Agent Venom + Gwenpool in Thanos maybe?

Would Thanos/Control be in a good place right now? Valkyrie and such?
Interesting how Hydra Bob is in so many decks. I don’t recall him being identified as a “must get” by many content creators.
well they kinda buffed him
Surprised to see no Malekeith Wiccan Surtur list here as you were pretty high on it in a recent video. Did it fall off?

Nebula silver sable any good 1 drops that are stats

Any replacements for bob in the Drac Dump deck?
Yes. Any other 1 cost card with good stats 😂
One of the other 1/5s probably. I would recommend antman or rocket but titania and martyr are not bad since the deck runs zero
Titania. You wanna play the ones last in that deck.
What about the Wiccan Malekith deck you posted the other day?
will need some time - weirdly, surtur nerf might matter more there than in surtur
@@KMBestInASnap damn, been playing the hell out of that deck before the OTA. Such a good time when Wiccan is viable

Where does the AV nerf leave Sera Tech decks???
Any deck guide video on the Move Bounce deck?
yeah like literally tuesday?
Play conquest to try it. It'll take some time.

No wicken, what theeeeeeeeeeeeeee
thanks for highlighting that gameR deck and using their pronouns
it looks fun and interactive!
Is ms marvel just not good anymore? She doesn't get played in any deck now. She still is a 4 cost 12 power card though
Bro they needa stop making so many good new cards without a stable acquisition system. I am becoming so bored of this loop now
I wish I could quit you, thanos
🔥
I just dont get that Dracula deck. I played it for 10 games and got dog walked, the cards are so random and dont really work if you dont get just the right draw.
for me this patch is the biggest loss since a long time. I doubt that anyone without collection complete can have fun playing from now on
I literally went through every deck and I'm missing 1 to 2 cards in every single one. Fuck the card acquisition and fuck this game.
Silver sable nerf was ridiculous
where is the datamine vid
i typically do card reviews about a week before the season and cache reviews the tuesday the season launches
@@KMBestInASnap dang so you arent gonna cover the next data mines yet? i really wanna here what you have to say about the marvel rivals cards 🥲 but ill have post notis on!
Agent venom is still too strong imo. He's a 2/5 with upside in a deck built with him in mind
Morbius is a lot more than 2/5 in a deck built with it in mind.
The downside is that you have to build the deck with him in mind though!
I'm still a Thanos Hater. Don't care if it's good. I don't like playing against it.
Everyone was calling this the biggest OTA ever... I didn't think it was that impactful.
in fairness that was a comment on size
Hydra bob is everywhere. He needs to lose point or two asap
He was awful as a 1/4. No
