  • Read the blog post from my 20 year cancerversary: kriscarr.com/blog/celebrating...
I'm honored to have shared so much of my journey with you, my amazing community. And today, I want to celebrate this milestone by sharing a special lecture that I created for my private Inner Circle Wellness community. This lecture, "How to Thrive in Hardship," is about living courageously through difficult times, something that we can all relate to.
    In this lecture, you'll learn:
#1 The most important question to ask yourself during a rupture
#2 Why giving yourself permission to feel your emotions is crucial
#3 How getting out of your head and into your body can help you weather the storm
No matter what challenges you're facing today, I hope this talk reminds you of your innate ability to heal and inspires you to be kind and compassionate with yourself.
Let me know your top takeaway in the comments below. :)

I was just talking about you with my 20 year old son a couple days ago and realized you were diagnosed 7 days after he was born. So I showed him a video of you and how inspired I am by your story. I remember watching your documentary so long ago. I am SO happy for you that you are doing so well. I have followed you for a long time. By the way, you haven't aged in 20 years! God bless

As someone with health anxiety, this is really inspiring. It gives me a lot of hope how a lot of cancers are becoming chronic, manageable illnesses. My friend's aunt was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer 5 years ago and she's still here and doing well with no expectation that will change soon. Amazing stuff.

Thank you so much! I am awake in the middle of the night because I was stressing about something and the breath work and mantra helped me. I feel so much better now 💜

Where does your cancer mets? Its so amazing that there are people like you still live and doing so well despite of being stage 4...i wish i can be like you that lived longer than what the doctors expected...also how did you do that?

@@aileenm.939 My original diagnosis was Stage II Breast Cancer HR2 Estrogen Positive with lymph node involvement. Almost to the day five years later I was diagnosed Stage IV with mets to the bones. My spinal column, ribs, hips, skull and fore arm bones were involved. (The actual term that was used was "lesions too numerous to quantify" basically almost all of my bones). I am very fortunate and live in an area with excellent cancer care, I have had a lumpectomy, radiation five times and am currently on what is called palliative chemo therapy. I added in the prayers of myself and loved ones plus try to live a reasonably health lifestyle. I am blessed to be able to do most things I care to do, though I do have to be mindful of fracture prevention but otherwise I am pretty active. I was so inspired by Kris Carr because she took a very active role in dealing with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She gives wonderful hope and advice. I guess the best advice I would give you is educate yourself, live as healthy a lifestyle as you can and enjoy every day you open your eyes. If you are a person of faith, having a condition like cancer is a great time to lean heavily on your beliefs. There are many things you can do and some things you just don't have control over so try not to abscess. I hope you are able to get the care you need and live a long and happy life. Many of us with Stage IV cancer are able to live with it as a chronic condition, much the same as diabetes so learning what is available to you and building a good care team can go a long way in living a great life even if you are not able to be "cured". Best wishes.

Recently i got a hard time passing my urine and poops, doctor says it might be coz of my sacrum mets. I find my situation hard and cant live a normal life but i hope one day theres a miracle for me. I loved your cancer video. I believe your alive because your doctor didn’t push you into chemo/radiation. You had a great doctor who listened. And said let’s wait and watch. I almost died twice from radiation/ chemo. I have seen it take many out. So I learned a lot from you.

I was just thinking about you. I was watching a video about Jessica from "Krocks in the Kitchen" where she talks about being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Next thing, you pop into my mind and I came here to see how you are doing. So happy to find out that you are well! I bought your book way back when it came out and loved it. All the best, hi from Edmonton, Canada : )

Can't find it anywhere, but it should be Everywhere. I wanted to show my brother who's having health issues for inspiration.
