Timely topic!! One of my buns is in molt right now. It's sooooooo much fur. One additional piece of advice! If you have more than one bun living together and they actively groom each other often.... But, they're not in molt at the same time... It's best to diligently brush BOTH of them every day anyway until all molting between them is finished. ❤️❤️
This video is priceless! As a new bun mom, I am beyond grateful that you shared this vital information because I had no idea. Maisy and I thank you so much!
I just had to order a new brush set for my boy. He's an Angora Mini lop and so far he's broken 1 comb and 2 detangling brushes cause of his fur. Sooo yep fun times. I can't brush him high because he will power leap off no matter the height. So I use the ox bow treats to sit him still and brush that way.
Good luck Cinnabun, hope you get through this season's GI stasis quickly. Good luck morgan, thank you for showing us how to take care of our wonderful lil buddies. Lots of love to both of you (and Bryant)! P.S. Can't wait for the next video!
I hope you’ve checked out the furminator! I start with the hair buster but then take out the furminator and you are not going to believe the hair it removes! Cinnabons hair is a lot like honeys and I have had the best luck with the purple top (I believe it’s the “small” cat “long hair” one) just wanted to share! Beware though, the furminator does not collect the hair like our hair buster does, it literally flies everywhere and becomes an airborne hazard! I do mine outside because of this! Wishing you guys a healthy molting season!
One treat that's actually beneficial during molting season is papaya. The fruit has a high enzyme content which has been shown to have some effect on helping fur pass through the digestion without matting up as bad. I have a dehydrator and dehydrate pieces of papaya on low temps to preserve the enzymes. My buns loooove it and it's one treat that I don't feel bad about during molt season. Thanks for all your tips! I didn't even think to reduce the pellet portion 👍
I love the "Bob Ross/ Carrot Top" look with the fur! 😂 I've been brushing my rabbits about once a week for the last two months to keep ahead of their molt.
Good tips! My bunnies have sensitive tummies too, especially my girl. I do all these things too and have implemented more first cut hay this molting season. I’m hoping to see a positive change. Thankfully first cut is full of those fuzzy pieces they like.
i bought the hairbuster or what you called it in april thanks to you and lennon i dared taket the step and i have not regret the decision. it is sadly not so easy to find here in sweden despite having amazon it would have costed me over 80-90 dollar to import luckly i could go to uk amazon thanks too a friend reminding me off it. and happily bought it for less then 40 dollar shipping included, i was so happy and its the best brush/comb i have ever used. as always stay hoppy.
We lost our mini lop Mr Wigglesworth this past January 17. He was 6 years, 2 months. He often shed and I tried to keep him brushed. Your bun is beautiful. I so want to get another rabbit.
thank youuuu its grooming time soon and my pair is going to the vet soon just for a check up. i really like the tips about their diet, definitely going to implement those. i worry about my lionhead the most.
Protip, I know not everyone can get a brand name fur buster, but you can make your own. You just need a flea comb or another close pronged comb and you cut a rubber band, then weave it through the teeth.
I have an additional advice actually, as a vet student and a bunny owner. You can break the "breakfast" in two parts so she has little bit in the morning and a little bit in the evening. And thats better for their tummy. Also probiotic pellets are really good! And you can guve them every day and you cant go wrong with them. :)
I know you feed the Sherwood naturals pellets , you should try their supplements too. My bunnies love the digestive support tablets and I use the joint support for my senior girl . Nothing against Oxbow , but the Sherwood products are the best . Smooch Cinnabun!!!!
Oh yes, it's molting season alright! Man my little bunny has so much fur, i'm thinking he will soon be balt or i could make a second one out of his fur! 😅 I actually asked the vet to come over and get him because he wasn't eating his pellets. He seemed to have a little teeth issue in the back of his mouth. Now, my bunny was never a good hay eater. But now i specifically have a bit thicker timothy hay and he seems to love that! Anyway, my vet brought him back yesterday. He still doesn't seem to want to eat his pellets but he does eat his treats and hay. I don't know why he doesn't want to eat his pellets. Because he loves those! I always need to fill up but it's been a couple of days, and he eats maybe a tiny bit but not enough so i can really see the difference. Other than that he seems fine, he plays and has more energy than a couple days before. I texted my vet to ask if it's normal that he still doesn't eat his pellets and he said that my bunny's gut needs to "restart" and i need to give him some of that "force eating stuff." (Not sure how to call it in English, i'm Flemish.) Anyway, i hope it won't get worse. I don't like forcing him to eat and hold back his neck/head. Bunny's are so fragile. 😢 He is 7yrs. old though, so i know, he is already a bit of age. But i also know bunny's can live up to 10 - 14yrs. So i hope to have him a couple more years with me!
Have you ever faced any health problems with cinnabun? Curious to know because im looking into getting a holland lop and want to know how common health problems like dental or ear issues are. Thanks xx
One of my girls just finished her molt and now the other one just started. 😫 one thing that works for me is having my hand get a little sweaty or clammy and the fur comes off with basic pets and keeps her from getting pissed.
Omg girly I love you and your bunny she’s so cute I was thinking while watching this if you would want you should get another little cutie for her a little friend omg for me that would be cute but if course it’s what you want but COMMENT AND LIKE IF YOU WANT HER TO GET HER BUNNY A FRIEND❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for this video!! Question: how did you get cinnabun to use the hooded litter box? I want to buy the cover for my bunny’s litter for our next place, but not sure if he will use it. Any tips and tricks would help!! Please let me know!!
I have a rabbit shes a dwarf rabbit and she hasn't starting shedding yet but my rabbit is a outdoor rabbit and she has a little play area to eat grass and yesterday she jumped over the play area as I have a dog shes not and indoor rabbit and please give me some tips it would help alot
My rabbit keeps sneezing A LOT during this season.. I’m actually feeling a bit worried, at the end of the sneezes he kind of coughs as if he had something stuck in his throat that he wants to get out .. vet doesn’t know what’s happening, cause he’s super active, eats and drinks just as normal, uses the litter just as normal .. does this happen to anyone else? 😢😢
Whoa, how did Gos Creatures survive before cute blondes? Did they All die? Im confussed? I have 2 Flemish Giants also, just making u guys think a bit, she for sure over babys her honey, but yes you need too take car of them, giving them 3$ of organic lettuce every morning on a plate, that a Chick thing for sure, I dont eat that good, God bless your Husband for putting up with you, he wont cry when Rabbit is gone, but cry when u get another and treat rabbit better then Him

You do not understand my joy of seeing the suggestion of this video pop up
It is really sad that Cinnabun has that issue.. Our rabbit rarely sheds large amounts of fur, she has very little fluffy fur at all. :)
Best wishes to Morgan and Cinnabun, though moulting season.Does Bryant get the cuddles after you do the hard work of the grooming ❤
