This helped me so much!!! I just noticed a bald spot on my buns shoulder and thought maybe it was wet from her licking it, then noticed it on her other shoulder and it clicked, my bun is molting!!! Im so excited lol this is my first bun and i adopted her from a shelter shes about a year old so idk if its her first molt ever, but i brushed her a little and wowwww so much fur came out, her new coat feels like a lil buzzcut lol its so cute i cant wait to see how she looks completely molted. Anyways i went on youtube to make sure i do everything right and this video helped a ton! Just ordered the brush and digestive biscuits, thank you!!!

Sherwood digestive tablets make a great daily treat for doing tricks with and helping with shedding, as well as adding twice the amount of water to the Sherwood rescue banana flavored powder, I give some to my Holland lops with a syringe if droppings start to get tiny, or fur connecting, they love it and it works great. :)

Hello, I have recently adopted two lion-head rabbits. They are now 12 weeks old, and I got them at 10 weeks. A few days ago, one of them ended up having wet feet and a soiled bottom. The other one hasn’t. I gave her a bottom and feet a bath with just warm water and a hand massage to remove the soil, and I blow dried her off on the low setting. She did reasonably well and tolerated it; however, she is back now with the same soiled/wet bottoms and feet. Her appetite is still normal and she is drinking frequently as well as going to the bathroom #1 & #2’s.. I reached out to the breeder that I got her from and they recommended probiotic. I searched your page to see if you had done a video on bathing a bunny and what shampoo you best recommend. I started the Bene-Bac Plus probiotic today 1/4 tsp as recommended on bottle. They are being litter box trained right now and currently I have a set up that has a litter box with the wire tray on top so they don’t sit in the soil, with their hay/pellet tray hung on their cage where they can sit/eat and do their business. I just don’t know why she keeps getting wet/soiled feet/bottom. I don’t want her to get urine scald which is why I want to bathe her 😢

I buy my hay in bales from my local feed store they have good quality hay just as good as smallpetselect. I also stopped feeding my rabbit pellets and only give it to them as a treat and I also started a subscription service from binxbox which sends me toys herbs and treats and it's a small business. All these things have helped me save so much money when it comes to having two bunnies highly recommended you try.

How I groom my molting Bunny.
Morgan and your viewers, the first step isn't recommended to everyone as I have an extremely strange bunny.
    1. My bun demands and begs me to let her out side when gale forced winds are blowing. ( Not quite gale force but very windy out side, she safe as I'm with her too). This blows of all loose fur on her coat. When she comes in, I follow it with a proper brushing.
    2. While laying down on the floor watching tv together, I give her a nice proper brush, starting with the soft side, and every now and then use the comb side, which she isn't a fan of, so I alternate since the brush is double sided.
Yes I have a very strange bunny, she loves storms, even thunder storms and lightning which she will lay down and watch through the glass door. Fireworks she's not scared of either, she will watch the fireworks with me or with out me. She's not scared of loud noises as we lived in our old work place that was at an airport.

I know this is an old video but my bunny is about a year old and first of all, she hates being picked up and it makes it really difficult to get her under belly. I know that she is molting because we find the clumps of hair, but I believe she’s one that molts for a long period of time and does a little bit at a time because it seems like it’s been going on for like two months that every couple weeks I’ll find big clumps of hair. I use the same comb that you use, I think I got it from your link, but I never get a lot of hair. It makes me think I’m doing something wrong.

My bunny has, according to her vet, what she calls a “spring up her bum”. She refuses tk stay still for one second. She refuses to be picked up. She will hop onto you for a little bit, but jumps and leaps everywhereee. I can’t give her medication, I can’t clip her nails, I can’t brush her. Nothing distracts her. I’m not sure how to get that done. Even food doesn’t distract her -.-. She’ll bounce a few feet up in the air as soon as the brush comes out and then zooms everywhere.

Hello, this video was very helpful, but I do have one concern about my bunny. I have a 5 week old holland lop bunny, I’ve notice his hair appears to be greasy mostly around his ears. I don’t know if this is normal for young bunnies like him but it’s been concerning me. Is his hair supposed to look greasy like that when they are young? I do make sure to groom him around once every week not too long. If you know anything about this please let me know. :)

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could help me in this matter...
I have a very difficult bunny when it comes to grooming. She never let me pick her up and stresses a lot when I try to do it. It's always been like this since she was a little baby...perhaps she has some kind of trauma or something where she was born I don't know. The thing is I always try to groom her and she never let me do it. I have to chase her a lot and I did try so many times give her treats and nothing seems to work. This is a problem because a couple weeks ago we have to go to the pet urgently because she had GI stasis and I suspect a lot it was because of the fur she ingested. Any tips? I tried putting her in the table she ran away and was very upset with that. When she was at the vet (she spent the night there I asked to groom her and clip the nails but even they said "hmmm we can try but she is a difficult rabbit..."
Thank you for helping I struggle a lot with this...
She eats a lot of hay (the best we have here where I live) and have a good food habit).

Hello my friend. I am so sorry to hear about the stasis. I actually have a video on my channel about how to pick up a bunny! So maybe try out a few of those tips, and then you can get her on to a table to try these grooming tips. Best of luck!

I dont recommend picking up ur bun at all, most buns dont like it and my bun hatesss it so much. I just sat on the ground while she ate and brushed her a little, shes very distracted by treats. My bun was traumatized as well, shes adopted from a shelter, but ive worked very hard with her and each day she opens up to me more and more and gets better. Its all about bonding and trust. And treats lol.
