  • In today’s video, I break down the Spending Tracker Budget App! I do a full tutorial of how to set up your budget using this app and how to use it throughout the month with your expenses.
    Download it right here for iPhone: apps.apple.com/us/app/spendin...
    I believe this is an iOS app only which is a real bummer but if they add it to android, I’ll include the app link here!
    This budget app is super easy to use. At the start, it will take you a little bit of time to get it set up but that’s not even that bad. The thing you have to do is set up your first budget ledger. This is basically a type of budget so a personal budget or business budget. When you have that set up, all you have to do is add categories to your budget like food, transportation, housing, health, and others. These are easy to add, create a budgeted amount and add subcategories within each like vehicle fuel and eating out.
    The thing I like most about this app is how easy it is to add accounts to your budget. You can add different checking accounts and credit card accounts to the app. They don’t officially link to your banking accounts but they’re easy to modify to show the correct balance. I love this feature of the spending tracker budget app because it allows you to associate all your transactions and expenses you make with specific accounts and those accounts will update to properly show the correct balance. And if you put transactions in that are planned like a Netflix subscription, it won’t show that transaction against your budget until the day you scheduled the transaction to show in your budget.
    The transaction calendar and budget stats and graphs are a nice way to visually show you how things are going with your budget.
    Also the savings tracker budget app has savings funds you can create for any number of goals like vehicle savings or vacations. These are easy to create and use.
    Overall I love this app. Simple and clean and I’m sure it’ll make it in my top 5 budget apps for 2023.

    I've been using it since July 2022 and bro you can never find an app any near of this app
    It's so smooth and so user friendly also the option for customisation is awesome.
    I have the paid version which let me customise the app even more and also without the premium version also this app knocks the other budget app down.
    I hope this app comes to android user so that I can recommend it to my android user buddies.
    Also this app pushes updates frequently.
    Overall a must-have app for every person. 🎉

      @@CalebBaleFinance They have to promote their app by the youtubers with huge subscribers.
      Hope they come up with an idea!

      Totally agree, they just probably don't have the budget for that. But organic growth like this is perfect to start at least.@@hifzulx

    hi! this video was really helpful but I'm a bit confused by something. it seems the budget for a category spills into the next month? the app is really promising but I'm not sure how to isolate the budget per month. i tried changing the date of purchase but it says i have overspent the budget and when increasing the budget, it increases the budget of the last months too.
    i have an expense just titled "cash" with a budget of 200. i tried just placing a transaction total of 200. then checked the next months, it states i have 0% left. is it because i am checking in advance and it should refresh once i am in the new month?
    i hope that made sense. id love some help!

      @CalebBaleFinance  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello and I'm sorry but I probably won't be able to help you much on this one! It sounds like this is a common problem with how they have it set up where it changes lines in other months too instead of just the month you're in. I guess I'm confused about your question about the expense titled "cash." You created a line item with a $200 budget, put a $200 expense in and it says you have nothing left in the following month? I'm guessing it's because you're checking in advance but I'm not entirely sure.

      I have the same problem. Even if you set a budget for one-time, the other months are also affected which is really a bad thing about this app as your budget allocations every month has the possibility to change. I hope they can fix this.

    is there a web version? do i have to enter all of my budget and transactions on my phone?

    • @CalebBaleFinance
      @CalebBaleFinance  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Actually I'm not aware of any web version. That may be that you would just have to enter them on your phone. There are lots that have web versions though! Like every dollar, Ynab and several others.

    I felt it’s really complicated and the UI I didn’t like. I guess it’s only ios. Have you checked expenses:spending tracker app? Trying to choose between them.

      I would agree, it takes a minimal getting used to. But I just loved the overall setup a lot. I haven't! I'll check that out soon. I've got a number of budgeting apps on my list to review

    Is this only month to month or does unused money in a category move into next month?

    • @CalebBaleFinance
      @CalebBaleFinance  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! Honestly I'd have to play around with it a bit to figure that out. At a minimum though, you can always create an extra income line in the next month to essentially carry over any unused money from the current month.

    Please help! If I need to change the budget for other month and let’s say I used to pay PRIME for 20 dollars and the next month it’s only 15, it edits the other months as well, it’s not only editing the month that I want. 😢

    • @CalebBaleFinance
      @CalebBaleFinance  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! I hate to say but I don't think I know the answer. But if your prime is $15 the next month, I wouldn't worry about it changing from 20 to 15 on prior months. It shouldn't matter at that point if you've closed out those months.

      I mean, I loved this app. I think it's a great one for getting started on a budget. It is free but you can pay for the premium upgrade if you want some more features. I talk about it in this video. Lifetime membership of this app for premium is $9.
