I agree with a previous comment about saving money on the bigger gas/propane cans, also it may be better to store them in the boxes on your roof as you don't want to be sleeping with a leaky can etc. If you look at my car I have mine mounted on the rear bar, you could also mount it to the roof rack easy enough... Good luck with the journey mate :)
get a one gallon propane tank and mount on back or side rack of jeep... you will save a lot of money not buying those little 1 lb bottles and you will save a lot of space. you can fill the gallon bottle for less than the price to buy one of the little green 1lb bottles. 1 gallon equals over 7 of the little green 1lb bottles so thats a huge savings
Been watching your vids for a while now, actually since before you started out on your trip. I’m an OG jake subscriber as well, from when he was still living on his sailboat. I would love to do the things you guys do, but at 6’2” I definitely don’t fit in the back of my TJ! Keep it up, you’re doing great, and hopefully we’ll meet up on the road someday.
Ya man! I think I remember you from back a long time ago... there’s always LJ! But I’m sometimes happy I’m not very tall, helps me fit in stuff like this!
@@TheTrevorMartin I would love to have a LJ! They’re just so expensive now... I’ve actually seen 4 door JKs with less miles that were cheaper. I’m definitely more of a lurker than a commenter, but I enjoy watching your stuff. And #tallpeopleproblems....
@@Kylejeepadventures oh man that is one of my dream trips to do, and in one of my favorite jeeps to boot. I hope he records it! I’d definitely watch all of that. And camping with these smaller jeeps, a tent is almost an necessity.
I’m about to start my life in a Jeep too. 2012 jk currently overhauling the running gear and preparing it for my initial departure. Hope to see ya out on the trail!
Bew subscriber here! Getting ready to put a Gobi rack and an RTT on my '03 TJ and live that way for awhile, getting into the Overlanding lifestyle a bit late in life( pushing 60) but the mind of a 30 year old 🤣🤣🤣🤣🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Just about the best setup I've seen in a two-door rig.
You should do a quick video with those cast iron tricks you mentioned

I also live out of my Jeep, great to see more people doing this..

You need a dual battery setup with a deep cycle battery as an auxiliary source otherwise everything looks awesome!
Would be much better off having 4 sure but didn’t need. Still would like to
Keep it up man. Love the journey!
I lived in my Chevy Impala for about 4 months in Los Angeles

@@Kylejeepadventures dang. That is a small jeep. Then again I want to do a whole bunch of adventures in a cj3a-b one day.

Probably an L shaped setup so Yu can fold
Cool setup. Thank you for sharing
Helpful video, thinking of doing a long trip to baja on my TJ, keeping both front seats though, 😆
Wait, your tailgate comes down? Mine opens out.
I have a playlist building an Overland Jeep that should explain this
@@TheTrevorMartin ill check it out! Just got myself a TJ I want to turn into my bug out / overland rig.
Dm me on Instagram for any questions and keep me posted !
@@TheTrevorMartin thank you so much!
Gives me a lot of IAMJAKE vibes but I like it keep it up
1000%
you should put a square mesh type of hammock thing on the inside of the roof ;)

Congratulations...
Great video
You know what your doing but normal fringes are usually recommended to set at 36 to 38 or 39 degrees. Just sayin.
I usually run it at 37 but 30 makes the drinks better
where did you put your cooler?
on the side seat place?
It's right behind the drivers seat beside my bed and the wheel well.
Dog hair is everywhere! Lol
Cast iron is the best. All I use
A spork is better than a spoon and fork??
Spork is a spoon and fork
@@TheTrevorMartin Yes, and it's not very good at either
That's. Whole house! What do you do to have to live in your jeep?
Traveled
What basket do you have on the roof? I have the same rack but I really like that basket with it. Thanks
Wow! 1993?! That’s great. Why are the considered unreliable?
because 90% of them have been abused in the past 30 years... that's about it
What is the size of the sleeping area, wood platform?
i remember it being about 6 feet in length which was from the back door to the front handle bar and the width varied
Tire size???
What size engine
I m sure it’s a 4.0 6 cylinder because that’s a heavy load
It is! But that didn’t help me. Regearing is everything! 4:88 gears here
Great content , but next time live out of a four door Jeep Wrangler
That rack is on point! What brand is it?
It’s brand JW fab in Longview tx local fabricator
Cool, I’ll subscribe
New on you channel amigo
Aren’t you worried about people stealing the stuff on the exterior when your not with your jeep?
It’s already happened
@@TheTrevorMartin well dam, my condolences
I am Jake?
My name Trevor, nice to meet you!
Good vid, but lose that awful music
You spelled fantastic wrong. Fantastic* music.
@@TheTrevorMartin 😂
Same car…same color…different dog…same shit…
Im sorry to hear that you're colorblind... I wish there was a way I could fix it but I cant
