First part was a HUGE BLOCKBUSTER which came out of the blue and people first anticipated it to be a hit like always with AK but it blasted the theatres like crazy.

@Jaby: I think 'Juntao' was the pseudonym of the villain from the first Rush Hour. Not sure what the 'mouth bomb' in the second part was called. It was fun though!
The connection between Dream Girl and Dream Girl 2 is the same as between Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai... just a different universe but with similar characters.

I can understand its difficult to understand comedy punches for western crowd like the best punch in this trailer "Bajane ka bol rahe the, toh uske liye alag se paise lelo".
This is not Sequel in just franchise of DREAM GIRL.
Mostly comedy movies are not made for any message but only for fun.
Buy tickets, eat popcorn, have soft drinks, laught,seat, Relax, enjoy. Thats all.
Best punch? That line is really lame bro. Not really funny to be honest. Cringefest.
Part One was just about he changing voice talking to men to earn a living and message about needing someone to talk to.
In this part he has to earn much more money because of loans and also to fulfill girlfriend's father's conditions to marry the girl, so he takes up a job of a "female" singer dancer in some club. In due course he meets this guy who is in depression and makes him smile. The guy's father is so happy with this development that he offers 5 million to Ayushman turned girl to marry his son. The message in this movie could be related to depression. The trailer has almost given away the whole story but the comedy is something to look forward to.

I think the main character is the same ayushmann as karam but everyone else is changed, because now abhishek banerjee’s character is muslim but in the first one he was his fiancée’s brother.
I think this is like an alternate story which doesn't have any connection with dream girl 1 , the housefull series have 4 movies which is mostly played by same actors but the movies have no plot continuation, each movie different and new story
First movie is not connected to this but its just that they are using the first movie success and produced another movie with the same type of genere. It is common in indian films.
Movies like A Wednesday, Goodbye and Home (Malayalam movie) can be reviewed. Also drishyam 2 if it hasn't been yet reviewed. Another heart warming movie that can be reviewed is KD (2019 Tamil)

He was getting 50 lakhs to marry character named 'Shahrukh' in movie, he try to hint his girlfriend that he is worried what else he will have to do after marriage with Shahrukh 😂 which he called performance 😅
His girlfriend had no clue, she thought he was going there for singing performance, and suggested to ask for more money if the requested work /'performance' gets hard 😂😂

Hi Achara, Jaby... This is an independent move.. Not a continuation of the 1st, only the cast is same of previous, they might play a complete different role in this movie.
For this type of story where the lead cross dresses and men fall in love with him thinking he's a woman, they could at least have chosen an actor that more or less passes... not someone like Ayushmann that you immediately clock lol
subtitles are the worst they not even mean what they are saying and its even more important when their is comedy movie , i think you need a better subtitles
