I have the Notchback 83 Celica GTS silver and black and Rusty I Here Toyota bring it back. That should push up the value of our cars or maybe Jimmy Oakes might buy one !
Would you ever be interesed in a trade? I've always wanted one of these (and supercharge it) since I was just a lad. I have a 98 supercharged 4x4 tacoma, a 2006 Miata (with about 10k in upgrades including a low mileage jdm engine/tranny and new interior, and also a 2013 clvic SI. None of them burn oil/have any odd sound on startup or otherwise and all have updated suspension/lubes/sensors etc. You could cross country any of these immediately. I have records of everything done.
This is 3 months later after posting this video. Some of my exhaust leak was due to some loose exhaust collector bolts BUT I still have a minor exhaust leak over by the manifold. I'm still convinced the old factory manifold just won't seal perfectly to the newer head. Its really minor so I probably won't fix it lol.
I need to pull my celica's 22RE to reseal it and solve an oil leak. I've never pulled an engine before, and i dont trust anyone else to do the work on such an old vehicle unfortunately for my own dumbass. Can i reach out to you in regards to what process you used to do so?
This reminds me so much of the first generation 240sx usdm. Great chasis and torque truck engine good for windy back roads

Doug Thorley made a good header for the truck 22re engine. Hopefully that would work

If you still have the leak I would suggest looking into the egr block off plates maybe that would help you
I actually already have those on there. Thought maybe it would cut down on oil going into the intake.

I want to get to a better shape
Start but I won't idle
Any idea will be appreciated
Nice car 🚗
if it’s been sitting for a while, I’d check for any rust inside the tank, it might be clogging up in the fuel system

Putting in a new clutch right now. Are there any different between the manual an automatic trans mount?
could i put a 22re in my 2001 toyota celica gt?? old engine blew and need it runnin asap
No you can’t, it’s a different chassis entirely. You have a fwd car with a 2zze engine. The 22re is for the older rwd models only
