Madam, " If you HELP me, I would be grateful ." Is this grammatically correct ?
You could say "If you could help me, I would be grateful."
My doubt is this, in one of your IF CLAUSE videos madam uses WOULD along with simple past in if clause . Then the following sentence is wrong "
" If you HELP me, I would be grateful .". "Can we use SIMPLE present in IF clause along with WOULD"
I got this sentence form another person's TH-cam lessons. There it is said that this sentence should be said like this only. I am confused now. Please guide me .
When using the first conditional, we say "If you help me, I will be grateful" whereas a second conditional goes like "if you helped me, I would be grateful". Normally, we don't mix these two up. But sometimes, we hear people using false conditionals. E.g., "If you allow me, I would like to ask a question." Here, 'I would like to' is just a polite expression - we can't consider it to be a part of a conditional. Rather, this sentence could be called a false conditional. Hope this helps.

When will you get to the party?
I can't do without a mobile phone.
I'm not getting you, is this right phrase mam
I don't get you = I don't understand you.
Can't you explain in simple english
Excellent video ma'am. Hats off you 🥰
1) നിങ്ങൾ എപ്പോൾ പാർട്ടിയിൽ എത്തും ❓
When will you get to the party ❓
When will you arrive at the party ❓
When will you reach the party❓
( I think we can use these three sentence)
2) എനിക്ക് മൊബൈൽ ഫോൺ ഇല്ലാതെ പറ്റില്ല ❓
I can't live without a mobile phone.
I can't be without a mobile phone.
( ഈ രണ്ടാമത് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞതല്ലേ എക്സാറ്റ് ട്രാൻസിലേഷൻ ❓)
Regarding the first question, you can use any of the three sentences, but here in this video I’ve explained how to use the phrasal verb ‘get to’ (instead of arrive at / reach).
One should never go for word to word translation. So “Enikku mobile illathe pattilla” can be either ‘I can’t live without a mobile phone’ or ‘I can’t DO WITHOUT a mobile phone’. Hope this helps. 😊
@@EverydayEnglishwithSonia thank you ma'am 🥰
പറയാനൊക്കെ ഇത് പറയാം പക്ഷെ ഇത് കേൾക്കുന്നവർക്ക് മനസ്സിലാവൊ? തീരെ പരിചിതമില്ലാത്ത വാക്കുകളാണ്..... ഇത് കൊണ്ടൊക്കെയാണ് ആളുകൾ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പഠിക്കാൻ ഭയക്കുന്നത്....
Ella kaaryangalum angane padichaanu use cheyyaan thudangunnathu. English ariyaatha aalukal undaakaam. Ennu vachu nammal English padikkille? Englishil samsaarikkille? I think you need to change this mindset. 😊
Very good 👍🏻🥰
Thank you!!
