Mam, Generally when we ask a question , after question word (i.e What, When , How etc) we use helping verb. For example , When IS your birthday. Here , after question word (i.e When), we use helping verb (i.e IS). But when we ask , What day is it today ? why do we use " IS " (i.e helping verb )after "DAY". ? As per rule, Should not be it " What IS day it today ? Please guide me
