It is indeed a sumptious feast to
a beginner to perceive the different aspect of To be verb in
English. As usual you have explained threadbare the same
effectively. Suppose there are two
To be verbs ( SER & Easter ) with
not less than 6 application for each and conjugation differs with
all 9 pronouns( conjugation differs
in a single case in English ie he/she/it) This is what I am grappling
with for last 6 months in endearing spanish language, a first cousin to English and Latin
Languages. My teacher Mrs.Eleena, a spanish native and my neighbour reminds you while explaining the intricacies of conjugation and usages
of grammar portions of spanish
Language. I was genuinely surprised to learn that some of
the proverbs we use in English
has no distant relation to the
Style of English language.
For example" Long time no see,
But, it is word by word translation
from spanish to English. There
are lots of them currently in circulation in both languages.
To sum up your grammar lessons
helped me a lot in learning the sweet spanish the second most
widely spoken language in the world.

I think the terms PRESENT participle and PAST participle are misnomers because they do not carry either of the tenses. Nowadays, they are labelled as PROGRESSIVE participle and PERFECTIVE participle, and they may also be preceded by the words ACTIVE and PASSIVE respectively.
Don't you find this change more suitable and meaningful?
