So nice to discover you on TH-cam! 🤩 We're currently overlanding to Southeast Asia, but already dreaming of driving from Alaska to Argentina, this beautiful video only let us dream even more ❤
Thanks you two! I just found you both yesterday and subscribed. Your travels look amazing and we’re dreaming of Africa/ Stan’s and possibly further one day as well. We’ll be on the road doing the Pan Am for the next two years, but if you ever make it to Canada while we’re there, look us up!🙌🏻
Man! I guess the water is warmer, but it’s hard for me to see what Baja has on BC and why you’d ever want to leave. That is some pretty spectacular scenery! I appreciate the effort you went to, to get some of those action scenes. Someone was left behind more than once with the camera while the other drove off and back with the van to get the shot. Well done! We all know that Meg is tougher, but the way in which the tenor of your voice grew ever higher as your tender manhood dipped beneath the surface of that lake was truly precious! You make good points about finding balance in life and staying young at heart. As Mrs. Tiki Envy and I teeter on the cusp of retirement from the “grind” you so wisely view with trepidation, we eagerly anticipate the time to savor for ourselves the freedom and travels you currently enjoy, and appreciate your videos all the more. Thanks so much for taking us along!
I’d say it’s about the experiencing what’s foreign. We’ve both grown up in B.C., and honestly, winters suck up here. So, Baja is a great escape. This was a fun one to shoot, I was certainly jumping with joy to be back in the homeland. One day we’ll explore BC far more thoroughly, but most likely with a more capable vehicle. Thanks, as always, for watching. So glad you enjoyed our little recount of this small sliver of our home. 😊
Beautiful thank you for sharing. I don't know how you don't spend days at each place! I'd never be able to do a new place every day. Once in a while yes but wow. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing a place more intimatly. Especially one like that! I sure wish I realized what an amazing place I was in but kids don't do they. It's wonderful to see it.
Hahaha, yes indeed, quite cold. We’re ditching our solar shower for the summer, fully intending to take on the cold Canadian waters while we travel north. Thanks for watching, Sylvain!
Really enjoyed this one guys! I can safely say I fully understand the difficulty of making it past that midway point whilst doing your polar dip 🤣. Hope to see you out there one day. Cheers !
Driving real slowly on those bumpy backroads also will greatly extend the life of your suspension. I go at a snail's pace myself, and let all the 4x4 offroad boys pass me!
I've been on the same road, and the same area as you. Pretty incredible isn't it 👍 What a flashback for me. I certainly don't get enough of touring around BC's vast area. And ya, the water is bitchen cold! Lol!!!! Maybe some day, we'll pass each other on the road somewhere in the mountains 👍 Cheers to the both of you🍻👍😎
@@SlowRoamers BC is an amazing place that a lot of people have absolutely no idea what's out there! Cheers and beers to dusty roads and dodging logging trucks 👍😎🍻🍻🍻Cheers man!
Yeah, I’ve been there before, the other ones on the east side were closed down…as I recall, I think both were closed down. Thanks for watching, glad you liked it!
First time watching this channel. This is fabulous editing and documenting. I was dying watching you both getting in the water; I’m not going past my balls. 🇨🇦🔥
😁😁😁 glad you found us and glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the kind words. We’ll continue our cold dip endeavors, so there will be plenty of me squealing like a little girl. 🤣
Found your site thru cheap rv living. Great vids. The best way to take a plung into an icey lake is to not test the water first. Also helps to have a fire waiting on shore..
Glad you found us! You’re absolutely right, a fast plunge is the way to go and the way I usually like to do it, unfortunately it was quite rocky. Thanks for watching!🙌🏻
Beautifully Squatchy BC ! Ever have the hair stand up on the back of your neck and feel like someone's watching you !?! I hope to make it to that part of the world some summer. Perhaps on my way through to Alaska? It's on the bucket list and I'll be 64 this year! Better get my high humidity, sweaty Central Florida balls in gear! Definitely don't want to spend the summer here! 🥵
Hahaha, I’m not sure i want to hear any more about your Florida balls, but come on up to B.C. if the bears or sasquatches don’t kill you, the smoke will!🤣
The videography was really outstanding. Also, the drone footage was great. Curious as to what drone you’re using. This was a nice video, thanks for sharing!😀👍
Hello. I think we saw you guys today September 22nd going to Monkman park n Northern BC. Can looks great. We just went full time ourselves and will be heading to Mexico this winter in our Class C. We built a van 2 years ago but decided on the class c for the full bathroom. Currently camped at km 9 bridge on the Monkman park road.
I enjoyed everything about the video! Cinematography, the relaxing scenery, your storytelling and the music! By the way, may I ask you the titles of the music tracks ?
Thanks Giovanni, so glad you enjoyed it! All the music I use is royalty free music from Epidemic Sound, unfortunately finding the names of the racks would require considerable time to find as they’re buried in my project archives.
3:50.... boom truck to create a highline ability to extract logs? "Spur truck" not sure what they would call that ... historically a spur tree was used. Not sure those are "first growth" .... most would've been long gone and much much larger.
Oh, very interesting! Thanks for that tidbit of info, I love seeing the different pieces of equipment used back in the day. I think some of the trees could have been second growth, but some of the larger logs had to be well over 100 years old.
don't smack the camera at the end, just let your smiling faces fade out, softer eh! BC is TREMENDOUS! I lived in the interior and now on Van Island, All beautiful, Thanks for this video, Frozen Nuts or My Nuts Shrank to the size of Raisins!
Just found your channel last week. You have caused many of a distraction 😂. Great to see a 2wd getting out there. I have a F350 and was looking at converting to 4x but you have helped me change my mind and save $$. Got a question though How do you find all those great roads
NICE! Thats what I like to hear. Undoubtedly we’d love to have 4x4, but for the scope of our current travels, it’s really not necessary. We use a combination of Google maps and Gaia GPS with a bunch of browsing to find our tracks. Thanks for watching, Charlie!🙌🏻

Mind blowing places what a ambience pure fresh nature so much of silence trying to whisper there stories to us you should have been there for atleast 2days. But still it was wonderful 😍. But I am worried about the loging one day these wonderful environment might get affected by the loging business. Total nature is controlled by the 🌲 trees and mountains if one gets damaged rest will be. 😮.
I'm a forestry worker and I gotta be honest, BC needs to get its ish together and learn how to do forestry sustainably. I've spent a lot of time in every province and while BC is a favorite, it's not because of their forestry practices. They don't care about protecting old trees, scenery, or important recreational areas, and a lot of companies don't even obey regulations such as watercourse buffers. They log hills that they know will never grow back properly, probably because they don't care if they grow back. They cause mass erosion, landslides, water contamination. Forestry is great - jobs are great, and backroads to explore are great - but thoughtless destruction of beautiful and environmentally significant places is f*ked.
I’m getting the sense, based on many other comments, that BC forestry really needs some better oversight. Seems public opinion is starting to sway in the “pissed off” direction. Problem is, there’s not enough public eye on the super remote areas where a lot of the poor practices are done.
