@@squidwardo7074 not too personal at all mate. Yes, I had a tiny bit of light perception when I was born so I could tell the difference between night and day but then we tried to fix it and the redness basically crumbled away into nothing. Causes a few problems but nothing that I can’t handle.

I got some question and am curious as to how it is to like be blind :) Can you comment on how you use your hearing? Are you ultraperceptive of sounds? Do you have a general idea of how big a room is for example? How does it work with bodylanguage, like you can tell when people are not talking towards you, and looking around and are you like... aware when people are smiling and when you smile in response?

Bro, please don't ever apologize for "talking to much"... Honestly, it's very informative and really awesome to have actual insight and input on what your thoughts were on your missions, and what you were thinking throughout everything and why you did this, and why you did that. Or why you didn't do this or that.... You're very humble and apologize so much for silly things like that, please don't. You have no need to, and I feel i speak for most when saying this, but it's nothing to be sorry for, and we want you to talk, not only to maybe get shit off your chest/back (or whatever the hell the saying is), but to also hear a break down and descriptive narration on each decision and why you guys chose to do everything.... On top of other reasons.... Please keep em coming. And if you end up going back. Please come back safe. Take care of yourself man, I hope you're finding ways to get through the shit that comes with going through everything you have been through.... In all the conflicts/ wars you have been through. Thank you for sharing your stories and please don't stop

when you are planting mines, go with the track marks, don't spill dirt onto the sides with the vegetation, that's a dead give away that is as easy to spot as a gopher mound on a golf course.. a little extra dirt in the track path is normal as it's like a dirt clod that fell off the track. use the shovel to pattern match the tread tracks, flat spot for the plates, and handle depth but shovel edge cut for the tread bar. has to be parallel perfect not to abstract art attract the eye to abnormalities. if you can't manage that find a blown off tree limb or large weed and some of the ground cover fines clutter to evenly dust up the planted mine just like the ground surrounding the track. don't scrape up stuff from around the mine...go out aways in the opposite 45º a 15 meters away so as not to attract attention with unusual scrape collection marks and if possible piss all over where you collected ground clutter debris from to disguise that spot....they will think they scared the piss out of their enemy so that they die with smiles on their faces }XD

I was on carriers in my career in the navy, fixing jets and loading Bombs, thinking about coming over to help repair tanks or what ever else i can help with. warfare has changed forever with Drones and Anti tank Weps.. IM afraid all that close in Helo support that we saw back in Iraq is a thing of the past now. Small Smart weps are taking over.. DJI ( Chinese ) made is making a killing off of this war. What is being done about Drones? I know there are antI Drone weapons and EMI weapons, but we're at the point where I can launch something smaller than a Baseball and fly for nearly an hour just spying, who would have though a 400 dollar Drone could destroy multi million dollar tanks and personal... take care Civ Div.

The longer route is better, and creating your own path makes you less vulnerable to mines and ambushes. So i say you did right.
The walking and the not going to the shelter part is also bad as you have mentioned.
You came back probably because there wasn't a drone going up at some time, spotted you and shot some mortars at you that were attached to an enemy platoon or company. These can rain down dead real quickly because the communication lines are short, and the distance isn't too far either. Once to enemy learns that it is best to always keep in contact with the enemy (you and your guys), the indirect fire support will come in much more than it used to. It could be so that times are changing, and Ukraine 2022 wont be the same as Ukraine 2023 and further down the line. They will get smart sooner or later. Not to intimidate and all that, but it is something to take into account.
Good video, i like the commenting on the video. As long as there is like a video without talk, and one where you do the talking like you are doing now, i think you are great. :)
Maybe a raincoat or tarp would do good to put the dirt on when laying mines. Also when digging field positions, you want a tarp to put the dirt in to get the dirt to some other place. Also you want to keep the grass and brush intact by digging up blocks with intact top soil, put those on the side to place back later. The dirt you need to get rid off you should place that in a hole further to the rear. Or somewhere where it wont be seen.
About digging emplacements: make it so that it is a packet you can set up like an Ikea piece of furniture. All premade, only to assemble on site. Its fast, reliable, and gives proper protection.
Dont smoke in the combat zone. I say with smells, you should go as far as that you shave your head bald. Get some Veet dehairing cream (but you want one without parfume). Once you are hairless, you can smell "suka" with his hair, because he smells like a cookie.
With the preparation, you want to have everything clear for everybody before you go in. Also every soldier needs an E-tool because a shovel will safe your life! Its a big part of being a soldier. When you are stationary for a couple of hours, you need to dig in, or its not safe! Of course, you do need all the camouflage, digging a hole that stands out is an invitation for artillery to come shell you.
Dont go across an open field. Saying that, the obvious military route could be mined, because that is the way you "should" have used. So its not all bad, its just bad. It can end up being terrible.
Sharing water like that can spread disease real fast. Its best to have your own water.
Well, maybe before going into battle again read some field manuals of the US army, they have about every topic online in PDF format. Its worth your time. If you have your whole group read it, they can be way more effective. Also some periscope movies on army topics can teach you a lot.
I hope you read all this. I put time and effort into these messages, because i know its worth your while (hopefully :P).
    He good luck!
    Greetings,
    Jeff

no he didn’t. I understand he was in a war zone and helping Ukraine, which I am at 100% behind. but I’ve watched a lot of his videos. He seems like a great guy and has a good heart, but all his videos pretty much a look like a camping trip.

@@jonwhiteley5651 that is how it is for 99% of soldiers. 99% of soldiers never even fire their weapon. I'd love to see some special forces combat footage but sadly most of that will probably be classified for a few years

@@jonwhiteley5651 90% of deaths are from mortar fire and artillery. Real life wars don't have a lot of face to face engagements like that.

Hey dude, hope you’re good. I just saw your interview with Willy. I heard you say you were going back sometime not for frontline stuff, I used to plot and build LZs and EAFs in the Marines, if you think I can be utilized could you reply and I can give you my contact info? I have horses so it’s hard to rehome them with zero income which would be the reality, hopefully you could mentor how I can be of best use. Thanks for your service, Semper Fi 🤙🏻
