- Welcome to our new series of vlogs where we will be renovating our early 1960's converted bungalow in the beautiful Kent countryside. This renovation will involve a lot of #DIY as we do like to get stuck in however we are not professionals in any way so these are not tutorials 😂. From experience renovating previous properties we know that we learn from our mistakes and pick up new tips, tricks and skills along the way. This is not going to be a quick turn around, we'll be doing this over the course of the next few years so thank you for coming along for the journey, hopefully we'll still have all our limbs, fingers and toes intact by the end of it 🤞🏼

Fascinating seeing it all come together. The dog(s) makes me smile - in out / out in … wanting to be involved at every stage - can’t make out if it’s two or three or even just the one as it all moves so fast … but it’s so sweet how they/it wants to be part of the process. Good job both. You work hard.

The room looks so much larger since you painted it all one colour. I was looking for paint to use for my kitchen. I love how the Rustoleum paint turned out on your walls and furniture pieces! I can't wait to see next week's styling video!
Looking good, I can't wait to see how to store everything, I made a new closet for me last July and I am still rearranging and figuring out what is most convenient.
The most exciting part 👍 I do have a rough idea but I am sure it will change plenty over time but can't wait to start doing it this week.

Job well done , looks no different to having a bespoke walk in wardrobe made . You could change the radiator to an long upright radiator . Also you could have a long mirror made to go on the back of your door . What you have both done is brilliant , look forward to more renovation projects .
Unfortunately due to the where the apex starts for the roof a vertical radiator isn't possible but I will be on th look out for something a little more aesthetically pleasing 😂 And Im still decided on a mirror. I definitely need one and my original thoughts were the back of the door but now I don't know whether a freestanding one may be better as the door opens into the hallway. Need to make that decision this week whilst Im organising the space 😂
@@EmmaHill you could put one next to the metod cabinets that swings into the room so you can angle it when needed but it doesn't take up space if you don't

You have such a good imagination to visualise how you could transform this space, Emma! Also really nice that you personalised it to your style too.
I am itching to pull out the very old built in wardrobes (with exposed nails, broken shelves etc) and replace it all with a PAX but it seems like a really intimidating task, not sure I am up to the challenge, ha!
Pax is honestly a great system, especially if the space is a fairly standard shape/size. Check out the online planning tool and as long as you know the measurements the planning is really useful. Then the building of them is actually really straightforward with easy to follow instructions 👍 And there are so many different elements to choose from depending on your requirements so you will definitely find something to meet your needs. ❤️
