I remember this beautiful piece way back when Ray had just started concertising. This is one of my favorites. It pierced my heart more when I watched the movie Schindler's List.
it truly pierced into hearts..... at one point, I had to discard the CD to stop myself from listening it and keeping the disc, because it's too heartbroken. It took me long time to recover from those scenes in the documentary.
Lmao, for those who think this is an ordinary performance, it is a legendary 200 year old violin played by a world-class violinist who has been trained by great maestros since he was a teenager
Sally later told me that when she and her roommate heard me play my violin during worship services, they would sometimes make fun of me because I "made faces" while I was playing.
gosh i would love to hear this in person TT i haven't watch the movie yet and it's my first time hearing it's music theme, I've searched other covers but this style resonates and communicate with me more.❤ The only cover of this music piece that made me watch/listen from start to finish and probably loop. ❤
Get in action everybody & enjoy more movie productions to work on so further musicians will be happy to work on soundtracks and let us such emotional compositions. Wish you find out the true Schindler's story. In the end he did not survive much the horrible atrocities he had to see, the grief murdered him. Therefore we have to learn from war disasters, avoid further tragedies of a kind, they are nocive like a cancer for all of us 😢😢😢
I think it is his version of the sticky Perlman sound. I think it's the vibrato that may be too much and what you are talking about. I heard a version of a female playing in front of John Williams with not as noticable vibrato and it was amazing. I think I know what you are saying but I think both versions are valid.
The rich resonance and emotion broigjt forth through this beautiful interpretation puts it in the league of Itzhak Perlmans younger performances of the soulful melody. Will anxiously await the intrepretation as Ray Chen attains the life experience of Perlman how amazing it will be to compare them at that time
@@tqphatI bet just listening to the audio you would say otherwise. His movements may be a little energetic but it doesn't take away from the depth of his interpretation.
To magician77: Israel is defending her country, Hamas is the one that started the war, know your facts and don’t be deceived by fake, prejudiced news! God bless Israel, the land of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!🙏✝️
No one does it like ray chen, it's so beautiful, my favourite interpretation
Both did amazing. I really enjoyed listening. Thanks for sharing it with us 💚💚👏👏
Wonderful Ray Chen performance ✨🎶♥️🎶🌹🎶♥️🎶🌹🎶♥️🎶🌹🎶✨

John Williams wrote such amazing scores. I weep as you play this one. Thank you both.
Thank you for listening 🙏
Simply exquisite playing by both musicians. You touched my heart, thank you.
This piece carries such a great responsibility. Ray Chen plays Schindler's List with so much respect that I cry every time 😭
Me too😢
My favorite interpretation

emotional performance❤✨
C’est magnifique !
Wow, how wonderful. If only the video moves me this way, I can hardly imagine what it's like to hear it in person. What a lucky audience. Some day...
I'm weeping again.
It brought me to tears
How's that so much sound is coming out of a single violin? ❤
Octave doubling
Overtones and also his instrument is really good but anyways the player too is world class~
He emotes the soun of two violins😂
Ray Chen is a soloist, a really good one, and he uses stradivarius for concerts

Great performance!! Thank you! APPALLING AUDIENCE!!!!!!!!
So beautiful!!!❤
Truly wonderful phrasings.
Bravo !!❤ Duo Bravisimo!!♥️♥️
Oskar Schindler, John Williams, Ray Chen, Julio Elizalde, and last but not least, Jews. God bless all of you...AMEN.
a deepest sense of sorrow. How can this come out ? Becauheavese of violinist or violin, or both? Sounds like a sorrow from heaven.
Amazing
Exquisite performance
Bravo
🙏🎉🎉🎉 crying violin & sobbing piano... May all beings be free from suffering...

Wow … The vibrato …
… all the turning before the last sentence …
A combination of bright and engergetic violinsit and bright-sounded Dolphin makes this
Genio. Me encanta. Sigiero que tenga un poquito menos vibrato. Igual no soy experta en el tema😅
Capo. Te quiero mucho❤

Why there's no version of the good audio??? 😭😭
I will try to improve it next time :)
Why did you pull a face Ray in the 1st place ?
Gosh it’s sad 😭😭😭😭
Why you no intone all over places?

Interprétation tropmodernemanquedesentiments pour la souffrance
The sound quality is poor.
a lot of echo but still the violin is very good.
It's interesting to compare this with Chuanyun Li's version. I almost think Ray plays with too much emotion.
Agree a 100%! He exagerates! It doesn 't fit the piece!

Ray ! You have pick the wrong timing to play this piece.
Way toooooo much vibrato he has to chill with the Vibratoooo
It’s just right if you watch it live
I agree!! He 's a great violinist but this interpretation is too theatrical and extrovert. I think it should be more modest and introvert!
fits very well as Holocaust music, can be played while Gaza and Líbano are bombarded. Awarding israel statehood was a mistake, lets reverse it
I don 't like the interpretation at all!! I should be much more introvert! And the little joke before the performance is simply misplaced ...
Which joke?
@@orhbo0 Just watch again.
Yes thats right. Me neither. A very very sad song to the victims of Haulocaust should be played in more respectfulness ❤
The interpretation you chose to give it was not the right one. Don't put in your poor mind one of the best violinists of this time in it
@@tqphatI bet just listening to the audio you would say otherwise. His movements may be a little energetic but it doesn't take away from the depth of his interpretation.
What an awful sound as well as interpretation and laughing before playing 😢
not good version 🤮
I'd rather not see your performance but only hear your playing of the piano.
