This is an impressive single-shot dune run! We've minimized edits, using only minor slow-motion for effect. Unlike some content, we avoid speeding up footage - the true thrill comes from the raw experience. The camera can't fully capture the feeling of speed, hence the speedometer shots. You might initially perceive a slower pace due to the smooth camerawork, but trust us, it's fast! The only edit you'll find is the removal of a brief, uninteresting sand shot. Conquering a dune run like this requires exceptional stamina, focus, and top-notch vehicle maintenance. Don't cut the video short - some amazing footage awaits! Thanks for watching!
Been going to Glamis for 53 of my 53 yrs on this planet. Glamis is in my backyard, but those Idaho dunes are on another level. That’s my kind of dunning, wide open space, wide open throttle. Glamis has much tighter dunes until you get south. Great camera work. Great video. Always look forward to your posts. God bless Jesus saves!
That's awesome that you've been enjoying Glamis for so long! Having our own backyard dunes is amazing. Those Idaho dunes are incredible - super wide open for sure and the way to go. Sounds like you know Glamis well - Glamis has its own character, for sure and we are very fortunate to have it so close by. Thanks for the compliment on the camera work and video, that means a lot! Really glad you're enjoying the content. And hey, God bless you too!
Gotta love the virgin sand! That windstorm is just what the dunes needed after all the Memorial Day traffic on them. We went for a day trip to Yellowstone on that windy day. The riding the next day was epic. This was our first time to St. Anthony's. We like it better than Glamis and any of the Oregon Coast dunes. Good job on the video. The camera work and editing is excellent. I like how you went slow motion for a few seconds when the car ahead of you kicked its rear up in the air.
Haha, "virgin sand" is a great way to put it! The windstorm did its job erasing those Memorial Day tracks. Yellowstone on a windy day sounds intense, but epic riding the next day makes it worth it! Glad you discovered St. Anthony's! Thanks so much for the feedback on the video! We're glad you enjoyed the camera work and editing. That slow-mo shot of the flying sand rail was a great catch, glad you liked it!
Much appreciated! I always think I'm ready for a break at the end of the season, but then a couple weeks later I'm going through withdrawals like you! 😆
How does St anthony's differ from glamis dunes as far as mass area size of dunes ect? I didn't see as many witches eyes. As always, Thanks for the ride along!
Known for its vast expanse, Glamis boasts over 118,000 acres of sand. It's one of the largest dune areas in the United States. While still substantial, St. Anthony is significantly smaller than Glamis, covering approximately 40,000 acres. St. Anthony dominates Glamis in Dune Size and Hill climb challenges. We dune an average speed in Glamis approx. 35-45 MPH coming out of the bigger Bowls at 70-85 MPH and St Anthony we averaged 50-60 MPH coming out of the bigger bowls 90-105 MPH. Due to the sand consistency and steepness of the St Anthony bowls there wasn't any whoops to speak of which was nice. Basically smooth and fast! You have to be careful not to fly over a drop not knowing what's on the other side as you can easily end up in the Lake or Lave Rock field! Hope this helped answer some of your questions.
it's nice to be out on a weekday early morning, skipping most of the golf carts though .. when did you film this ?? It's been windy as shit for the last 2 weeks.
Yeah, weekdays are definitely the best to avoid the crowds! We filmed this memorial week. GLAMIS gets its fair share of wind as well! Appreciate you watching!

Awesome work Doug!!
Thanks for the ride along! I hope my comments are helping your algorithm. You have spent a ton of time filming. Thank you for that!
Not sure I know how the algorithms work, but I appreciate you watching, makes all the filming and editing worth it is someone is enjoying the content.
