I would say Steve has the best job in the world. Working for Garrett and getting to metal detect as part of your job is just amazing. Good for you, I wish I had a job like that.
It was fun watching ya'll lake hunting, made me wish I was back in Texas! It was fun to see Sue, she just helped me on the phone the other day with an order and she was fantastic! Because of the great Customer Service experience I had with Sue, I told her I had seen many people in the metal detecting forums talk about the excellent customer service they receive from Garrett and Sue was yet another great Cust. Service experience for me, so thank you Sue and Garrett!!
Good job on the vid. Many people in these videos will go on about unrelated stuff & take forever to get to the point. Others will tend to have a sort of attitude with a lack of appreciation for the tough environmental conditions sometimes related to the hobby. You had a good attitude, gave a good amount of valuable info & got to your points quickly. Nice job...
In Disc 2 mode, AT Gold can be used in salt water. Be aware that certain items have been notched out, however. Its ground balance range does not include salt, so the AT Pro is more highly recommended for hunting in salt water. For more questions on either unit, please contact our Customer Service department. They will be happy to answer any questions. Thank you!
my sand finds are so far this summer 7 gold mens rings one 14k toe ring AN YES 1 18.5 GRAM PLATINUM MENS WEDDING BAND EARINGS, TONS OF CHANGE. OF COAUSE I HUNT ABOUT 20-30 HOURS A WEEK (MINELAB 705) AND YES I DO HUNT IN WATER ALSO
As treasure Hunter that I'm, I gave up dry sand hunting because most finds you find are coins. The point is the most of the beaches that you go in America to metal detecting, you have to pay parking, and sometime, your finds don't pay what you paid in parking and fuel.
Great video as always . I wish you guys would come and metal detect around my area . I live in what's called the iron hills of New Jersey . If the trash is not bad enough , then The iron ore is . I would love to see some pros work one of the local parks by me .
I Thought the AT gold cant be used in mineralized ground such as the beach? How are you doing this?. Do you just turn down the power and sacrifice depth?
No, the 350 is not waterproof. The coil is waterproof, just not the control unit. The AT machines are submersible to 10ft. The AT Pro is fine in fresh and salt water, the AT Gold is freshwater only.

A beautiful day in the water with the AT-PRO, and Gold detectors. Sweet finds you all had. Thank you for sharing, Terry.
That ring with .925 is a good quality Silver. Congrats on the find!
AT Gold recommended for freshwater use only. If you want to hunt in the surf or ocean, I would use an AT Pro that will ground balance to salt water.
nice video Steve, fun to watch
Awesome job hunting!
Enjoyed watching and liked the info. I have to agree with DJorgie 76 I think Steve has a awesome job!

Great stuff! BTW, that one "cross" is not a cross. It's an ankh, which is an ancient Egyptian symbol.
At 4:57 how long is the handle on his scoop?
is the garrett 350 water proof i saw you guys was dropping your detectors in the water
I wonder if a cinco centavos 1955 coin would have any silver in it?
I need a Garrett pouch, where can I get one?
And AT Gold can't be ground balanced to salt water?
what does surf hunting mean?
I found a coin in my backyard. A Indian Head penny
