This video is for English learners who understand native speakers in one-on-one conversations, but have trouble understanding natives in groups, movies or TV shows. The difficult thing about improving your listening is that native speakers will change the way they speak if they think you don't understand them. So the best ways to improve your listening are when you can hear natives without them thinking they need to lower the level of their speech, and by improving your own speech so you communicate to them that you can understand them. This video shows you how. :)

In Indonesia, translating is the most common way of approaching a foreign language like English, by which negative transfer becomes the biggest obstacle of becoming fluent in the target language.

Understood negative transfer through Wiki. Jesus, how do you become so knowledgeable in behavioral psychology? When I first learned English in middle school, my English teacher told me not to translate it like Chinese. Her words truly had a major impact.

@@lumin8059 I learned negative transfer in college. You see, applied linguistics was one of the subjects taught. By understanding the concept of negative transfer I finally knew how to acquire the language effectively. Since then I have shifted the way I kearn and teach English.
I have recommended this channel to my students because the method used by @englishanyone is in accordance with what I have learned from college.
