If DRS did came into action back in 90's and 2000's ... cricketing World today would have been witnessed many Legends and records.

It might be possible that sachin was not sure about the edge. He would have walked away if he was sure. He is a true gentleman in cricket.

Amongst the batsmen I knew only 3 were walking examples: Gundappa Vishwanath, Brian Lara and Adam Gilchrist.
They walked whenever they knew they nicked it.

"Whenever they knew they nicked it".... here Sachin flashed hard, and at such times the batsman might not feel a nick.
And the Aussies appeal even if the batsman's knuckles crack.... so that's hardly any criterion 😏

Well it could have been the bat handle sound as well, the way Kohli thought he had nicked against Pakistan and the DRS showed he did not. But there is no denying the fact that there was a big sound when the ball passed the bat.

As an Aussie I've got absolutely no problem with this. The umpires there to make the decision. If the batsman gets one that goes his way, so be it, god knows he'll get plenty that doesn't.

Maybe the sound was of the wind off the bat. Sometimes it does sound like an edge
