I just bought this and can't wait to test it out. I am currently using a Turtle Beach Stealth 400 wireless headset and it has done such a great job for all these years but I am trying to look into a higher quality mic and this may be the right one! :) Nice video Ashlee!
You're so welcome Terea! Go grad professor!!! I've been there 😀 Let me know if I can ever help. I'm not sure what you teach but happy to help a fellow educator. Feel free to email or reach out via IG or FB.
@@VirtualTeachingPro Hello. Thank you for this great video. I was wondering, I really like to add echo and often look for mics that have that built in but I find that they are not that great a quality. Can you please give some guidance on how to achieve that for online sessions? I do recitations online and its usually without any music and the delay/echo makes a huge difference.
Glad it helped! That happens to me all the time too with TH-cam. I find a video that I needed after the fact 😂 but I'm so glad that it came up on your search now. I still use this mic and it's my go to one bc it's just so easy to plug in and go for teaching online. I do have a really expensive mic and to be honest I stopped using it bc it was taking up so much time and energy to plug it in through a mixer and it had to be close to my face. This mic I just sit it next to my computer and you can't even see it in the camera for Zoom classes and sounds great! What type of classes are you teaching?
Hey Ashlee! Great review. Thanks. I want to know how well this microphone will work if I am also using an instrument while singing and teaching? Will there be clear sounds from both sources: my voice and the instrument?
Hello Ashlee. I need a microphone which will pick up spoken voice and music played in a dance studio, while teaching ballet classes. Would this be the correct microphone?
Hey there. Yes this will pick them both up and have good sound for such a great low price. Do keep in mind though that the levels will be the same for music and the teachers voice. You could also consider a lapel mic that attaches to the teacher for a voice recording and tjen it would pick up more of the voice with the music being more in the background. It really depends on your needs.
It's a USB mic that you can plug into your laptop/computer so it would depend upon your karaoke machine, speaker and set up as to wether it would work for your equipment.
Hello Just wondering after almost a year of using this mic from Zoom classes how it is? Im currently looking for a mic which I can sit on my desk and have it out of frame so I would need to be about half a foot away from my mouth.. most mics ive seen on you tube require people to have their lips right up to the mic and yeah who wants to do that on zoom. so I am curious does a mic like this or this one suffice for having it 30cm away from the mouth? or do you sound far away and not so good? thanks
Hi Ashlee. I notice that you changed the position of your desk. What camera were you using in this video? Is your ring light still right in front of you?
Hi! Yes, I switched the position of my desk so now it's facing the window which allows nature light t to help with lighting so I can turn down or not even use the ring light depending on the time of day. I love it! My eyes were starting to get a little buggy with always using that ring light 24/7. Now I just use it as needed. In this video I'm using the right light on low setting in front, nature light from the large window in front and also two small LED side fill lights for the camera filming to make it pop on camera along with one LED back light for that blue effect in background.
I need a microphone that allow me to pick up calls and talk to the other party but i dont like headset type of microphone. Does this set comes with a earpc plug button?so i can use this mic to answer queries?tks
Great question. This mic is just a mic like you see in the video no headset or ear plug included. The best suggestion I would offer for ear plug to take calls and use mic would be airpods if you have a MAC or Apple products.
Would this mic work with some distance? I'm a theatre grad student and our classes are currently split so some folks are joining us through zoom but there are others in the room (hope this makes sense). We have been having some trouble with workshops since the internal mac mics cut out when you walk a bit away from it. I'm just trying to find a solution. thank you
Totally understand you here. I feel like this is a great cheap mic for that and is so much better than the built in Mac mics. You can crank up the volume on it too on the dial on the actual mic and just sit it on a table as close to people talking as possible. There’s other options but this one is super cheap and easy to plug into computer and select on zoom and go!
I'm not 100% sure on this exact answer so I would suggest reading the full description from the seller on amazon and perhaps even reach out them just be sure.
I have this mic, its an nice microphone, but i can't find how i can dim the mic monitoring it seems too be stuck at 100% mic monitoring volume (its an really nice feature but not if it is at max volume) any know how to tone down the precentage of the mic monitoring?
Hi there. You can adjust with the dial on the front of the mic but it doesn't include a way to adjust the mic monitoring volume from what I'm aware of. If you are using a program like garageband you can adjust it in the that progrm but it's more of a simple easy mic without all the bells and whistles of the expensive ones.
What is your current fav mic these days? 🎤 🎙

Thank you Ashlee! You have helped me set up my first class as a graduate professor! Keep it up.
Let me know what you think of it. I'm always looking for the next tech element that just makes everything a little easier in daily work flow.

had to sift through youtube, but yours is the best review I've seen for this. I wanted to hear what a singer sounded like. You sounded great!
Thank you! I just found this now, and not before Summer teaching, but still very helpful. I had difficulty finding a good microphone.

Hi Ashlee, thanks for sharing your thoughts with us! We're very appreciated about it, have a nice day!
Thank you! You too!
@@VirtualTeachingPro You're welcome! Take care~~
I really suggest recording different distances for reviews
Sound quality changes depending on how close your mouth is to the mic
Good point will do next time thank!

will this work with an iphone?
Hi there. This device does not work with an iPhone. Make sure you look for a mic that has a lighting jack rather than USB/C.
