Hi! I was trying to use this code, but it only took 1% off the purchase price (57 cents off of 57 dollars). Do you know what might be going on? Thanks!
This is the first review to mention that its plug and play. I've been watching so many videos to try to find this out! You'd think more people would include this in their videos!
This is an excellent review! I've just watched a bunch of USB mic reviews and yours is the one that convinced me to get this particular mic. Thank you!!
@@Nickyo I love it!! I really needed a mic that didn't require me to do any post-processing and would sound good right out of the box. So far, I'm super happy with it!
Thank you for this review! I just bought the mic yesterday and it'll be arriving in a couple days. I'll share my thoughts here once i get my hands on it. thank you!!
@@Nickyo it arrived yesterday! Okay, well... the microphone's build is sturdy and it certainly looks professional. the audio is crisp and clear but it sounds slightly flat - and it needs some post-processing to make it sound special. I used it in my zoom classes yesterday and asked one of my friends what I sounded like. She said my mic sounded "heavenly, but i could hear a bunch of background noise." lol so anyways, it's totally worth it - for the price that is - and im glad i chose it. thank you once again for your video! have a wonderful day friend :)

Hello I love this video and mic and can you please tell me how well the mic is working currently since its been 1 year since you have had it it would be really good if you would tell me
It depends. If you use K683A with your phone, sorry that you can't record and hear other person at the same time. If you use K683A on your computer, please plug the headphone into the 3.5mm headphone port, choose the K683A as default output without enabling the monitoring feature on the computer system or software, you will just hear the system sound.
K683A is suitable for the Boom arm stand which comes with the 3/8'' to 5/8'' adapter. And you can easily search for it on Amazon. But you can directly purchase the T683 including the boom arm stand, pop filter, C clamp, etc.
Honestly, I’ve used the original quadcast which is basically the RGB one sans the RGB and I prefer the fifine over it. They just made an amazing mic for a very low price!
I had to rewatch the intro to remember :p It's a Rode Procaster, I should have a video comparing a cheap to high end mics and also a full video on my audio gear if you're curious :p
I cant in good faith recommend my own since its so expensive. However inexpensive options like the Tonor and Neewer boom arms are more than good enough for this mic!
Hey man! I was wondering what dynamic mic you would recommend (200$ budget) for gaming. I tried the AKG D5 but i felt it didnt have the presence i needed or wanted... My voice is kinda bassy and dark in a way? Cheers!
I stand by the rode procaster as being the best dynamic mic at around 200$. Considering you dont need a cloudlifter like you would most mics. It is an xlr mic so you would need an interface. For a complete setup a rode podmic and a scarlett solo would be within budget however some eq would be useful for your type of voice. You could also try out the Shure MV7 which ive seen has had a lot of success lately. It also depends on what youll be doing! Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions 😬
@@Nickyo hi! I already do have an interface and a mic preamp! My voice is kinda hoarse too.. hard to explain heh.. but yea ill look up the procaster for sure
@@Nickyo Hm maybe saying my voice is bassy is wrong... its kinda semi bassy but kinda hoarse too? its weird man... i need something that is clear and sounds clean :(
@@Nickyo yeah i just kept my akg d5.. I changed some EQ settings and just made it sound a bit more normal? Still enjoy it and might just save up for one of thoose EV models🤭
Hi Nicholas De leon, yes, you can. But we don't recommend using a clamp type of shock mount, which might disable all the features on the microphone body. You may have to look for something link the one below. fifine.cc/product/fifine-shock-mount/
if we plug a headphone into the microphone , can we hear the sound played from computer mixed with the voice captured on the headphone? or just our voice only ?
Hi Tedjo, if you choose the K683A to be the default output of your computer, you can hear computer sound. If not, then you will hear only microphone audio.
@@Nickyo thanks, i ordered the mic, will check it out... one youtube was doing a review on another fifine mic, said that the voice monitoring has a 5 milliseconds delay... thats why i asked
@@lucasdmc2631 yep, it works as a sound card you will hear every sound, in game, music, whatever. It kinda work as a little amp as well, at least my motherboard does not produce so much volume compared to the mic
Yes. The K683A includes the USB-C connector, so you may don't need the adapter. But we recommend using the microphone only with Windows and Mac computers, cuz you can't speak into the microphone and hear from the smartphone at the same time.
Hi when i try to plug in my earpc to the mic i cannot seem to hear anything. My PC windows 10 also cannot seem to work. Could you advise which type of earpc do you use as my main aim is to pickup calls using this mic (eg like customer service type of work).
Is it not recognized by Windows 10 computer? For Win 10, You may need to pay more attention to the private setting after updating and allow the software access to your mic. If you can't hear anything, please check out your default output device setting.
You can just plug type-c into your phone while leave the other USB port alone. Both USB connector is for getting power supply from computer and transmitting digital signal to computer. So it's not that one for power the other for data.
It works in theory. But we recommend using the microphone only with Windows and Mac computers, cuz you can't speak into the microphone and hear from the smartphone at the same time.
Hi Night X, if your Chromebook system has the USB PnP driver built in (unlike Windows and Mac some of the Chromebook don't, depending on the variation), then this mic will work.
You can do this by either lowering the gain and placing the mic closer to your mouth or using some type of software either in post or while you use it like voicemeter banana!
To be brutally honest, even the high-class USB microphone can't filter keyboard noise completely, but we can adjust the dial setting to reduce the noise coming from the computer. First off, set the dial below 50% if you're in a noisy room. Next, set computer input at around 80%. At last, the speaking range is another aspect that makes the great difference. Keep the mic 3-5 inches away from mouth, the closer the better. If you have any software with the level meter, it's recommend to adjust the volume setting and make the meter bounces from -12db to -16db, then the sound will be pretty decent.
For the first question, the answer is yes. You can monitor with the speaker (Just connect the speaker with the computer, then choose the speaker as the default output). But this action will definitely result to another problem : The microphone will pick up the sound coming from the speaker. Thus, a quite noticeable echo will be heard and we don't recommend doing so. For the second one, the answer is still yes. Just plug the headphone into the 3.5mm headphone port, choose the K678 as default output without enabling the monitoring feature on the computer system or software, you will just hear the system sound.
