- Shifting demonstration. Several makes and models of medium duty trucks used this axle. This quick demonstration should help you feel more confident about starting to operate a truck with an Eaton 2 speed axle.
Stay tuned for part 2: fine tuning your shifts - บันเทิง
You don't need to "clutch" going from Low to High...All you need to do is break the torque on the rear-end (Let off gas and wait for rpm to slow, and re apply gas pedal).... I have had 2-speed axles with 4/5-Speeds and Allison automatics...
Great video, it’s pretty simple I’ve drove 2 speed rear axles I like them because you can use a clutch unlike a 10 speed
you can double clutch a ten speed
What a beast of a truck
That is so cool!
nice bro!!
Holy fuck... you're back... Good to see you again bud.. been a LONG damn time! There's two different ways to use those things, most people run 1L, 2L, 3L, 4L, 2H, 3H, 4H because 1st doesn't typically have a synchro.. if you watch tow trucks that's how they typically shift. Then there's the way you say which is more like having a mechanical overdrive/gear splitter sort of like a GearVenders except full mechanical. Sorry to hear that the boat shop and comedy didn't work out, be thankful you have a job though, I haven't in 15 years.. My scoliosis has gotten a lot worse, I found out I have a brain defect called Chiari 1 Malformation and to top it off I finally figured out that I'm autistic. Yay me eh?! Oh and I'm 6'10 now LOL!
Guide info Thank you!
Whoa !!
My Spicer is different !!!
1 H-2 H-3H-4 low-5 low- THEN 4HI -5 HI With a load ! Low-Hi in 1-3 confused yet ?
I learned this at 12 years old !! Driving my Uncles 1966 Chevy C-40 !!🤣😂 Took us shoring his Hi-Powered Rifles ! He n I are Left Handed !! Gun stocks were also !
Loved my Uncle !!! “Don’t tell your Mom or Dad !!” BUT!
Really ! 4 low n 5 low geared !!
depends what you need
I have a 10 speed with a Detroit. This seems like somewhat of a pain by comparison.
nicely done and good to keep the 'finer arts' from newbies :)
👍👍👍👍👍
How much does this truck weigh with nothing in the dump bed?
I just bought a 1972 F600, my reverse is down on the left.... Is it still going to be the same sequence???
Is that an F800?
24,000 lbs, was that with the bed loaded up? Any idea what it weighs when empty?
1.000,000
The clutch has nothing to do with high low rear end
I never pushed clutch in to shift the rear end I thought you only push in the throttle and let out
It says to clutch on upshift and to do what you described on downshift. I think I’ll clarify that in part 2. If you upshift without the clutch, is it on a vacuum rear or an electric?
@@BigAgitator I believe vacuum I never clutched into use the 2 speed rear end just let off gas a bit and back on. Hmmm 🤔
@@BigAgitator mine is electric and it causes no damage to go from lo to hi without the clutch. Just like the other guy said, come off the throttle for a second to break the torque on the driveline and it’ll shift.
NOPE !!!
Better !!
SPICER !!
no one evver shows going back from high to low with a qquick shot on the fuel pedal...
