If the sensor is anything like what's in the Virgin Atlantics upper class cubicle it's a non recording facial recognizer. It's there to switch the screen off if there's noone in the seat for a while or if that someone has fallen asleep.

Its been a long time that I haven't flown on KLM. I still remember their amazing flying experience from Montreal to Calcutta and back to Montreal. I wished that KLM would return back to Calcutta.

Hi Amandeuce, Another great report on KLM's Business Class. They have a pretty good product nowadays, the crew is what makes KLM so awesome IMHO (at least, most of the time). The food all looks pretty good, but that Hamburger looks like an epic fail lol Thanks again for sharing Brendan
one thing is not true, there are pickles with the hamburger, see the little pot left of the hamburger. I know because i eat it, typical Dutch-Amsterdam pickles
I adore KLM - a truly great airline. However, that burger looked so sad :( Delta has a great burger in rotation on their domestic US First class - and Virgin Atlantic's cheeseburger on their Upper Class Bites Menu is amazing. It looks like an excellent flight. Although you gave us glimpses of the menu, I wasn't sure what you were eating - but it looked good! Don't be surprised at the disappointing burger. Reheated hamburger is never very good. It's more difficult to ruin tuna..
Not the biggest fan of these seats observing from videos like these but then I haven’t flown any lie flat business class seat or first class seat ever. I like the suites or the ones that Asiana Ana and Thai use or the apex suites. Luckily I will get to try out Asiana business class and Korean air older business class in about 2 months time.
My husband and I do not fly KLM anymore after a nine days wait for our luggage on our anniversary trip (we got ourselves a treat and bought Business Class.) KLM only reacted to WhatsApp messages, ignored the fact that their local station does not react to new media and only delivers when you pick up the phone. Their local agent had our luggage for six days, when I finally had the correct phone number to call them and arrange the delivery within a day. KLM did not reimburse us the phone cost, because they have a Web 2.0 strategy nor the stolen items from our luggage, nor most of the other subsequent cost that incurred due to nine days without our things. The so-called settlement of our extra cost was an incredible process. I included 13 pages of receipts, to receive an call at 2AM (I clearly specified my time zone) asking “why didn’t you send us receipts”. Complains about the settlement process were ignored altogether. Minor issues were: seats not cleaned property, we both got sick after eating on the plane..
well what can I say. Thats an appealing business class menu. Meals seemed to be very good. like the cheese instead of nuts with the apero….and that dutch "houses" as a gift in former years only available in ROYAL (FIRST) CLASS on KLM.
well this is what I said there is no more Royal First Class Service available On KLM. What a pitty. You could fly on a B-747 from AMS to VIE in Royal First class which is what I did……..
Enjoy your videos but it'd be good if you put up in the subtitles what the actual meals you ate were as they were up on the screen. Don't really want to have to go back to the menu shots to try and work it out. Thanks!
KLM should have a look at how JAL does hamburgers. They offer the Mos brand burger in economy class, you'll get the bun,meat,sauces and garnish and you can create it yourself. Its a really cool concept
Hey, there is a double blank in the menu (7:34) between "with a" and "spinach and smoked" ;-) The shades are actually worse then in economy where everybody "own" a dedicated window. You could not control yours without effecting you neighbor which must not happen in business I would say. Those breakfast options are really a disgrace - that's probably why they labeled it (just) light meal ... BUT: Everything nicely documented by you. Thanks!
You’re a better guy than I am ... if the Dude pulled that window stunt at my seat when I was away, when I returned the window shade would have been put at FULL BRIGHT FOR THE ENTIRE FLIGHT! You control your windows and I’ll control mine ... and I noticed the passengers on the opposite side of the aircraft did NOT dim theirs either. 😏. Dear God that hamburger looked anemic and dried out. 🧐

I love the klm but since I travel solo (I’m only 12) I need to go to economy... my family isn’t rich anyway.. the only thing I hate about the klm is the food, even tho I hate all airplane food...
Here's a helpful hint: when you show the food menu on any flight, leave it on screen long enough to be read - a quick flash won't do. It's not always possible to pause a video. Also, some asshole at TH-cam ruined your video by inserting commercials. If I wanted to watch commercials, i'd turn on the TV.
It's funny that I came here to watch a video of a very beautiful and impressive airplane, but then I have to endure your narcisism. Why do you feel the need to show that you have status, that you get to go to the VIP launch, that you get to seat in a weird angled seat and drink something yellow in a nice glass...? Whoopty doo! What'd you want? A bone...!? Just show the airplane and spares the YOU moments...
