😂😂 mine, too... in holland, being 2 metres long isnt realy special so i think thats why the leg room is so big, apart from that its an expensive flight 😃😂😂
This brings back so many memories for me! I did that exact flight but the other way round AMS to JFK on a 747 but economy. The staff we're brilliant and have never had so much food in all my life! Love your videos and keep em coming. Your also hilarious
I've been watching your channel since the very beginning and you have not failed to addict me! Your videos are amazingly relaxing and informative and I love all the new features ( GoPro, hyperlapse, etc)! Please keep it up!!
Nice to watch. Recognized the approach outside the window. And saw you entered gate E19 with the 747. I do work at groundhandling of KLM. Loading/unloading.
As always, It's a great pleasure to see Amandeuce's new trip report!! I really like your witty and funny comments, they bring up good energy and spice into the video. Amazing, mate, thank you!
Flew this plane from Chicago to Amsterdam. Seat 4A. Single window seat. Comfortable, quiet, great service. Simply love KLM. Look forward to my next flight with them
Thanks for the great video -- I'm flying from Calgary to Amsterdam in December -- and was wondering exactly what it would be like .... so appreciate all the care and attention you gave to everything -- no matter how small, you seemed to include it.
I think after reading so many reviews on different airlines I think I will choose Klm business class from Cape Town to Miami and they have the most reasonable price. Thanks for sharing your journey
I dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my password. I love any assistance you can offer me
@Micah Jameson i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
All new Business class seats are nice. But no matter how nice or comfortable the seat is, no direct access to aisle should be unacceptable for all long-haul business class.
I'm flying business class Delta/KLM in December tpa to nbo. It was fun to watch your video and to know I too will be enjoying the comfort soon. I've flown to Kenya almost every in Economy since 1982, so I'm looking forward to the luxury I saw in your video. Thanks for sharing. Well done.
Nice video. The use of the Panasonic 3000i entertainment system on the new Business Class seats on KLM's 747s reminds me of how SQ equipped its new First and Business Class seats on the B777-200/200ER/300 planes with that older system, especially when they have widescreens.
The good thing about a lot of the KLM lounges in AMS is that they'll provide you with a shower if you ask at receptionl At CDG you have to trek all the way over to terminal two for that.
An excellent presentation. Thank you very much for sharing. The only thing I thought could be improved on is the watery sauce you had with your pasta. I know, scraping the bottom of the barrel here. Hope it tasted better than it looked. I look forward to your next vlog!
It's cool to fly on a 747. The food was tasty. Having to climb over your neighbour to get out or get back to the seat can be quite inconvenient, but on the other hand, this business class seat has excellent legroom
Hey i liked your video, thought it was pretty cool to see how the other side will fly. i can't afford that service but i found it interesting anyway. I did like how the seats are further spaced apart, for a long flight people need that. Enjoyed the part showing the sky club lounges. I like that, much better in stead of standing in a terminal all day. Good job !
I loved KLM when I flew it. It wasn't business class, but the IFE is great, the food is great, and they have snacks in the galleys for ALL passengers 😃
I like the seats, the entertainment system, and the amenity kit. However, I would be disappointed if I paid for a premium ticket and received this catering. Thankfully, I can always count on Amandeuce to make high quality videos!
I know the catering could be better. thanks a lot for watching! I'm glad you like it! Make sure to check out my latest review and my instagram: @travelswithamandeuce
I think your style of review vids is excellent, good complete caption commentary. A lot of your contempories just walk around and sit around like zombies and don't actually comment on anything - useless. You're good.
That isolated center captain seat intrigues me. I would be tempted to opt for it (if I ever fly KLM again), just so that I can say (in a bit loud voice) 'Engage' or 'Make it so' when the captain announces intent of departure... 😂
Oh my dear friend..time rushes by..I really missed this wonderful video, with your sweet ode to homer and your even sweeter KLM blue shoes:)))) Niiiice video:))) And I only now discovered this little bell which will alarm me of your next vids:) . Actually, I had searched for a KLM Business Class 747 video..and there you were..what a pleasnat surprise. I searched as I have booked this aircraft in January for a trip FRA-AMS-NBO-ZNZ for a little vacation..and I managed to get seat 1A !!!! Yesss. I am already now crazy about this flight:) Return will be with Kenya´s 787. Flights NBO-ZNZ-NBO in eco, unfortunately...but price for the trip was exceelent I thought. Now I know a bit what to expect. Wines were ok, btw..my favourite would have been the CdR, though 2014 was not great. The pasta looked a bit meh to me, hehe. And yes, these wall seats, lol..I would have become a terrorist on this flight:)) The only other airline I know with this silly arrangement (and a 100 m galley on the other side behind) is TG. Glad I found this video, but when you look for something special be sure that Amandeuce has already deliverd the goods hehe. Very best regards!!!
Haha you are too kind homer, thanks for the nice words! Well it's been 3 years, maybe KLM improved their food and service a little in the meantime :) Sounds like a fun vacation, hope to see videos from the trip?! Have a great trip!
You really can’t beat KLM, they combine German efficiency with Dutch hospitality. And Schipol is a fantastic place to connect. KLM is my first choice for anything over the water!
İt was lovely again, onlythe explanations written by you disappear very quicly I cannot catch easly.. these days as we stay at home, your videos are taking us from one place to another, which is great!!!thanks a lot
Great report as usual. Didn't you have a chance to take a glimpse of the Business Class cabin upstairs? Anyway, those seats look nice indeed and yes, KLM's cabin crew is the friendliest in Euope. And another "yes": the B747 remains one of the most elegant planes around ;-) A pleasure to watch that video.
How can you tell it's an A330 and not an A340? It's too dark to see if it has 4 engines (only major difference in appearance between A340 & A330). The flight to Johannesburg is non-stop, so an A330-200 or A330-300 (what SAA operates) does not have the range to reach New York. In fact, all SAA long-haul flights (except Abu Dhabi) use A340s.
they actually use some 330's on their Johannesburg to London route , and perhaps they may have had an issue and so had a stop over in Sol or Accra or Dakar.. it can happen..what's the non stop range on their 332's? But yeah I ain't dispuiting what you say, just putting out an alternative
oh I just saw a 777 on their roster, and I went like what the #$%^!..... but not on the JFK route though, the JFK route is only 346.. I give you that much. I don't like the 346 interior at all, the window Premium Class seat is not ideal, only the isle seats are good, you don't have to jump over someone after dark.. or at least no one has to fall over you when you're sleeping...
+mafenza A332 range is 13,400 km (7,240 nmi; 8,330 mi. JNB-JFK is 12,824 km. JNB-LHR is 9,045 km. However, Johannesburg is a high-altitude airport. The air is less dense, so the plane has to travel faster to generate enough lift to take off. That means more fuel. So JFK can't be reached from JNB with an A332 without a refueling stop.
+mafenza I missed London. I read an article before posting my first comment, which said: "The A340 is currently used on all long-haul routes except Abu Dhabi and some of the London frequencies which use the A330-200." centreforaviation.com/analysis/south-african-airways-long-haul-turnaround-continues-with-accra-washington-launch--a340-extensions-231902
Hey. This was a great video. Love those New York City night lights and the aerial view over Manhattan? Awesome! Food and drinks looked pretty nice and the IFE was very responsive with a great selection. Last but not least, those dutch flight attendants. Meow! Hehe. The lavatory? Pretty standard. By the way. I noticed there was a 2nd level on the plane. I guess that's for first class only?
I just flew KML Business class from SFO to AMS. Layout and Seats were different but very private and comfortable. I wish I could upload pictures and video along with this comment. I thought it was possible.
Thanks for the video. I agree with you, the 747 is a great plane especially in Business Class. I fly B.A. fairly frequently South America to the U.K. always use Club World (business) on their 747 and it's great. Much more intimate cabin than on the A380. On short haul European flights I don't find the price for Business is good value as the journeys are always short and there really isn't a lot of difference compared to long haul where Business is another World from economy!
+cameronpaul mhm is BA's business really that good? I've never experienced it but I've seen some pics and I don't like that layout and it really looks cramped and tight! how is it? thanks for watching and glad you like it!
I think the problem is that photos and videos can't give the real experience. The layout does look strange but it seems to work. The only negative is that if you've got a window seat you need to step over the legs of the passenger beside you( when in full flat position at night) to access the aisle. I'm not fussed about window seats so I usually opt for an isle seat anyway. The seats are very comfortable for me (180 cms h. 82 kgs weight) and I never seem to fail to get at least 6/7 hours proper sleep on a 11 hour flight which is great. Food is excellent (does vary a bit). I used to travel Premium Economy but I think it's actually a bit of a rip off would much rather pay the extra for Club World which I love, especially on the 747B
LUV LUV LUV KLM > the staff truly welcoming and professional! ALWAYS an awesome experience. Wish we had them here in Indianapolis - I would AVOID Delta, United, American to NYC, ORD, DTW, BOS for my connection.
Great report and the hard product of the new Business Class seems to be an improvement. However, I wish they had done something about lack of aisle access for passengers at the window seats. Not comfortable when travelling alone and the solo seats are still limited on their 747's. Also, the menu was very limited, it seems. I'm curious, was this a full meal flight or a redeye service because of the late departure time? I do love the KLM crew and the little Delft's house you get upon arrival :)
+headhunterke I guess it was a redeye service, since the departure was very late and the flying time very short. But you had the chance to order additional food if you were still hungry :) Thank you very much for watching and that nice comment! Appreciate it!
This is what I thought when I saw those seat "It seems inconvenient for the person sitting in the aile. What happen if the person on the window want to go to the bathroom and the person in the aile is asleep?" Then I saw 12:23... I personally prefer the configuration on Delta
yes you have to climb over your neighbour. thats annoying but still the rest of the seat was amazing! thank you very much for watching and commenting! appreciate it! :) don't forget to watch my latest review :)
I don't think this was the most recent version of business class cabin. Because the layout was all angled with the back to the aisles resulting in everyone having an aisle. Maybe this was a concept layout that hasn't been reworked?
13:25 "This one is for the leg lovers!" - OMG! My face turns red.
+Kat Wycoco hahaha always a pleasure!
😂😂 mine, too... in holland, being 2 metres long isnt realy special so i think thats why the leg room is so big, apart from that its an expensive flight 😃😂😂
We all forget that all these uploads are just meant to make our lives more prepared and expectantly happy.hoorah to all the effort.
This brings back so many memories for me! I did that exact flight but the other way round AMS to JFK on a 747 but economy. The staff we're brilliant and have never had so much food in all my life! Love your videos and keep em coming. Your also hilarious

I have Done this in 10 h, best 10 hours in my life!
Took KLM from VCE to YUL in may 2011 and would like to fly it again. I was in economy class the aircrafts flown was MD-11 and Boeing 737-400.
Like is KLM is your favorite livery!
+Justin Hopkins no its not my favorite
Amandeuce Then don't like it :)
well I like it but its not my favorite ;)
Amandeuce Which airline is your favorite?
old klm livery: no
new klm livery: yes
Really enjoyed this trip report. I'm looking forward to trying out the new business class seats on their 787-9 in the coming months.
+When I Travel The World thank you very much for watching and that nice comment! appreciate it!
really enjoyable , having travelled and been on most aircraft the 747 is still my favourite , look forward to more of your blogs
thanks a lot for watching! I'm glad you like it! Make sure to check out my latest review and my instagram: @travelswithamandeuce
It gives me an America feel with the restroom, seats and IFE and napkins.
Nice video! i flew their new world business class from Denpasar to Singapore last month. on the 777-200. i really enjoyed it. KLM is my fav airline
I love any assistance you can offer me
@Nolan Conner instablaster ;)
@Micah Jameson i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm.

@Micah Jameson It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much, you saved my ass !
@Nolan Conner You are welcome =)
All new Business class seats are nice. But no matter how nice or comfortable the seat is, no direct access to aisle should be unacceptable for all long-haul business class.
+Sitti2300 Exactly. I don't understand why they can't do a 1-2-1 layout instead of this weird 2-2 layout :\
+Sitti2300 my words! thank you very much for watching and the nice comment! appreciate it!
Thyra Sannen no im sorry i saw it in an other flight review
Their 787s have direct access, the OLD 747 fleet is being slowly phased out anyway.
Just as bad is when you have fellow passengers facing you.
Really nice business class - and a great flight report!
+Natasha Stojsic thank you very much! appreciate it!
I like your reviews, just as it is! Thanks.
+Kumar Samy thank you very much for watching and the nice comment! appreciate it!

Hi Jan
Those wall seats in economy looks like torture. Love your videos!
Not for children or people with short legs.
Nice video. The use of the Panasonic 3000i entertainment system on the new Business Class seats on KLM's 747s reminds me of how SQ equipped its new First and Business Class seats on the B777-200/200ER/300 planes with that older system, especially when they have widescreens.
+TheBlackfanify thank you very much for watching and your nice comment! appreciate it! thank you for that information
The good thing about a lot of the KLM lounges in AMS is that they'll provide you with a shower if you ask at receptionl At CDG you have to trek all the way over to terminal two for that.

+Colin Hirons it tasted pretty good but I know what you mean! anyhow I enjoyed that meal. thanks for watching, appreciate it!

Try the new Dream)Liner, I was in that airplane, Amazing experience!
+RoequavicPlanes I didn't like the Dreamliner at all. I was on a 9hr flight on a Dreamliner and I totally hated it
I hate the Dreamliner. Not very comfortable and the take-offs are always awful, no matter which airline and pilots are flying.

some SAA just when the take off roll started - an SAA A330 from JFK to JNB, that's a 1st..they normally use A340

Thanks for this once again great trip report!
You might evaluate the luggage claim/retrieval experiences, Okay?
Excellent flight KLM!
yes but service is far below zero there
When you stopped to have a look at the newspapers, made me giggle lol XD
+Shea Te Huia I'm happy if people giggle, that means they enjoy! thanks for enjoying and watching :)
Still think your trip reports are the best!
+Xandré Lombard Thank you very much for watching and that nice comment! Appreciate it!

thanks a lot for watching! I'm glad you like it! Make sure to check out my latest review and my instagram: @travelswithamandeuce
KLM services are outstanding
LUV LUV LUV KLM > the staff truly welcoming and professional! ALWAYS an awesome experience. Wish we had them here in Indianapolis - I would AVOID Delta, United, American to NYC, ORD, DTW, BOS for my connection.

looks loads better then the delta offering, bigger seat, tv, leg room and style.
I’m sure it was cheese; however, that last salad looked like it had marshmallows on it!
747-3 notice the engine wind up. From JFK there is a lot more plastic. What was up with 11:17 and Bootsy????
oh he likes the shout outs
When you watch before your twelve hour economy flight to boost the mood
how was your flight?
@@amandeuce well I'm still alive 😂
Maybe this was a concept layout that hasn't been reworked?
its klms new business class
