- It’s finally time! The temperature is dropping, the leaves are changing- it’s autumn! 🍂
This is my favorite time of year, but unfortunately I live in Southern California and one have one season - sun. So it’s dependent on you to make the seasons in your home. And that’s exactly what I’m doing this week.
Join me as I turn my apartment into a cozy autumn retreat. I have a few DIYs and tricks up my sleeve to make this the perfect fall space.

Caroline Winkler has done a few makeovers that are like "making over my friends living room - without buying anything" . In this time where your channel is growing, that might be a great option to expand outside your apartment for makeovers without mega corporate sponsors giving you furniture etc 😂 . Love your content - keep it up!!

Excellent taste!!! Try putting some ornate gold mirrors to uplift the rooms! I love mirrors and the way they enlight and 'expand' the space! Oh! And some vintage things too!

Beautiful!!! Just the right touch. Here in the mid-south, we trim our wicks and burn our tapers just a couple of minutes to show we welcome all guests to our home because usually we are not burning those tapers for day guests! 😊

Hi from Florida!😊 I usually start fall decor early, but this year I am waiting too. I am holding out for a long hot summer😂 I picked up a few things, mostly thrifted, and will start decorating next week after all my floor grout is professionally cleaned. I will be painting & dark waxing over all my orang-y pieces I already own. I too just sew/buy pillow covers & use the down throw pillows I have. One thing I have done for pillow covers is use beautiful quilted coverlets & sew pocket pillow covers. Great way to recycle them. Love your aesthetic this year😊

Outstanding! Even Scout goes with the color scheme. But she would blend with any season. Really, really nice use of color blending and decor placement. Oh and I did the same thing with my couch pillows. I made the envelope style covers. I did make a bolster, however. I laughed when you said your couch pillows were too small. I was just thinking that my couch pillows were too many and too big. I bought my couch at Living Spaces and the pillows came with. I didn't want them, but alas, here I am. And Renaissance man, you made pumpkin bread too! Thank you for sharing your videos!

I just got all new bedding about a month ago, so didn’t want to add something new, but may switch up to my new linen striped sheets for the season 🍂

Hey, a heads up that candles contain toxins that are bad for our pets. Same with oils and scents. Use candles made from soy, coconut, or vegetable-based wax with an unbleached 100% cotton wick.
You are especially good at flower arrangements. Do you want to pop over to my place and help me decorate? 😅 Just head north until you get to Vancouver BC.

But I want you to take an Ikebana or Bonsai class to free yourself of tight flower arrangements. Granted they are faux, but give it some consideration, I think you will be surprised how positively it affects your anesthetic and your approach to design. Don't get me wrong, your space is AMAZING and I would swap in a skinny minute !
