Hi can you please tell me which cube did you use to teach while doing the easiest tutorial for 3x3 rubiks cube and also please suggest me a speed cube? 😉
For anyone who messes it up and does not know how to solve it, there is a lot of websites where you can put in what your cube looks like and it will tell you how to solve it
A couple others I stumbled upon while experimenting: - The "?" - The "X, Y and Z" - the "L" or [lowercase] "l" - The center stripes - The "House" The "T & t" Among others. Of course, once I achieved a mixture of these, (some faces had separate patterns than those on, let's say, the top or bottom face) I was forced to solve it to start from scratch. All whilst remembering the moves I made to get there. All in all, fun times. I always encourage novice cube solvers to experiment with patterns. Helps to familiarize with moves and color coordination.
In the 3rd pattern theres a trick that doesnt need you to reverse the algorithm. Instead of reversing the algorithm, turn the cube to the other side and repeat the algorithm but dont reverse the algorithm just do the same algorithm on the other side to get a solved cube again.
I feel bad for the folks who can’t solve their cubes, you got some balls being here. As for the ones who can, my favorite is the chessboard, as that’s the first pattern I learned, having discovered it myself.
@@AbdulSamad-jr6fi Yeah, I know how to solve one. Are you using cfop or do you use the beginner method of solving one layer at a time? I'm not familiar with cubastic's tutorials, I learned how to solve a cube before I learned he existed, so I'm not familiar with what he teaches on his channel.
Cubastic, I started at age 44 trying to solve my kids cube for him and found your four part tutorials on how to solve the cube and now I cannot put it down. I not only enjoyed it but now I have the algorithm down to a science. I love these videos. Thank you. I also watch a recent video of yours of the smartcube and though it's pricey I'm contemplating buying at least one, it looks amazing.
My favorite one is (U R L F' B U D F2 B2 L U' R2 L2 F2 B2 D' B2 D2 B2 U2), you have to choose the colors of a corner piece, (my fav one is blue yellow and red) and put this edge piece on the upper left corner of the front side, then execute the command, to undo-it put the chosen edge piece on the bottom left corner of the back side and execute the command again :D
Here is a list of the algorithms for doing these patterns (if you don't know how to read algorithms go to the bottom of the comment): Flower pot: (M, x) x4 Checkerboard: L2 R2 U2 D2 F2 B2 Cube in a cube: F L F U’ R U F2 L2 U’ L’ B D’ B’ L2 U Snake: U B2 L D B' F L' D U' L' R F' D2 R' R = right side L = left side F = front side B = back side U = up side D = down side x = turn the cube towards the positive x axis (basically just to the right) y = turn the cube to the positive y axis (basically to the top) M = vertical middle layer down Each turn should be clockwise, an apostrophe after a move means it will be turned counter clock wise. The number 2 after a turn means to turn the side twice (it doesn't matter which direction because if you were to turn a side 2 times in either direction the end position will be the same, you can try it yourself)
this is a true story So I was at a after school promgram and i was bored and i had my rubix cube with me. So i asked the little girl next to me, "hey rachel, can you please mix up my cube?" She said yes, and she said "im gonna make it so hard for you to solve". I laughed and solved the white part right in front of her face, she said "i just made the white part easy for you". I laughed while solving the damn cube right infront of her, her mouth was wide open and i went back to the table I was sitting at before laughing.
Hey guys today I discover a new pattern. It can be perform with a 4 by 4 cube. In this pattern we can make three different patterns together which are same on their opposite sides. These 3 patterns are - 1. The first pattern that cubastic made on two will be same on opposite sides. 2. A plus on two opposite sides. 3. Completely solved faces which are opposite to each other. Believe me it's very simple and amazing. I am finding the correct algorithm and i will post it soon.👍
Hey guys I had found the algorithm. It is also applicable for 3 by 3 cube. Let the middle layer in 3 by 3 cube be M and clockwise M will be M and anti clockwise M will be M'. Note that the cube should be fully solved. The algorithm is - {M2( Middle layer two times clockwise),U2, M2'(turn middle layer two times anticlockwise),D2} Now, position your cube such that the fully solved face is in your front and back, plus in your left and right and the 3 straight lines on your top and bottom. Now, repeat the same algorithm in the curly bracket. After that position your cube such that the 3 straight lines are on your top, Letter I on your front and then use M2' to make the plus. Your pattern is ready and you can back to your solved phase by reversing it .

Here is a list of the algorithms for doing these patterns (if you don't know how to read algorithms go to the bottom of the comment):
Flower pot: (M, x) x4
Checkerboard: L2 R2 U2 D2 F2 B2
Cube in a cube: F L F U’ R U F2 L2 U’ L’ B D’ B’ L2 U
Snake: U B2 L D B' F L' D U' L' R F' D2 R'
R = right side L = left side F = front side B = back side U = up side D = down side
x = turn the cube towards the positive x axis (basically just to the right)
y = turn the cube to the positive y axis (basically to the top)
M = vertical middle layer down
Each turn should be clockwise, an apostrophe after a move means it will be turned counter clock wise.
The number 2 after a turn means to turn the side twice (it doesn't matter which direction because if you were to turn a side 2 times in either direction the end position will be the same, you can try it yourself)
