- Check out Barcelona doing what they do best in training, as they practice the rondo (piggy in the middle) to perfect their tika-taka skills.
Barcelona midfielder Xavi has often talked about the importance of the training, saying- "It's all about rondos. Rondo, rondo, rondo. Every. Single. Day. It's the best exercise there is. You learn responsibility and not to lose the ball. If you lose the ball, you go in the middle. Pum-pum-pum-pum, always one touch. If you go in the middle, it's humiliating, the rest applaud and laugh at you."

Its so crazy how well drilled they are. Theres a keeper in there, centre backs, and they're all doing back heels and passing it around as well as the mids.
To be fair to the rest of the world though, I don't think its that they are particularly naturally skilled, its just that they are brought up doing things like this, the Barcelona Youth System is probably the best in the world. If I was doing things like that from the age of 10 I'd be pretty amazing too.

It is not Tiki Taka on show here,it is the game which has made Barcelona the possession hungry team that they are.
The player who loses the ball has to come in the centre to get it back,facing the humiliation of it.
This is exactly what they do on the field,pass it around graciously,if you lose it,press till you get it back.These kind of games is what really defines the Barcelona mentality

I agree, if you only have one way of playing other teams will eventually learn how to beat you. That's what happened to Arsenal in the Premier League and I think it's started to happen to Barca. Maybe Villnova will have a different approach.

@Xsanther its not the same use of triangles that he used back then, and like i did its a more developed version of tiki taka
the early 21st century barca was by far the best team in the world. at the time, man u and real were second/third. now man u and barca have dropped in performance level [tho still very good], it briefly allowed real to take the limelight as it does now. however, real will be pushed back down to third in the future as i believe bayern and chelsea will rise to the top two spots in years to come, with gotze and hazard leading the way.
i was right, barca and man u declined in 12, chelsea and bayern rose in 12/13, real rose again in 14, barca have come back. only bit i didnt predict was the last bit, so thats cool.

I don't think anybody will. In football trends come and go. Barcelona (and Spain) played that style to perfection, but opponents figured it out. Even Barcelona play a more direct style now.

Junde801 Dortmund also had a lot of luck against Malaga last year. If they didn't get that last minute offside goal they would never have been able to play the final. That dude with a mask also had to get a red card in that game. That changed the whole tournament.

I feel like Real madrid got too easily to CL finals. The games against Galatasary and Schalke were over before they even began. Dortmund game was nothing but luck. Real were lucky Dortmund's best players were injured in the first match and no wonder the tie was already decided in the first tie. Real madrid however got destroyed by BvB in the second tie.
