Venti's hint about taking the mask off was very clever and well done. Its clear he's also referencing himself, and how Xiao knows exactly who he is. He's relishing in being able to present as himself rather than just some anemo bard. Looking forward to seeing more of him in this light.
Venti actively perfers to be seen as Venti the Bard, not Barbatos the Archon. It's his choice. That's why he thanks Jean for still calling him Venti, not Barbatos.
Qiqi carrying medicine is the cutest thing she’s done she feels so lifelike getting closer to remember things she had to do. I want the story to revolve around Qiqi and Xiao now.
Venti’s sentence about taking the mask off was excellent. Because i definitely think he’s talking about both himself and Xiao. Venti isn’t the happy go lucky bard he pretends to be in mondstadt all the time, and i’m looking forward to seeing way more of him being serious. Also, this trailer was so damn good.
I think he is more referring to getting a break from duty and taking care of yourself. While Venti is not actually active as an archon he probably still looks for the people and controls the winds in Mondstadt. I don't get why people say Venti's joyfulness is a lie. Usually people who are geniuses or had suffered in the past tend to be the most eccentric. If Venti truly was only being wise and calm it would make his personality kinda shallow. I enjoy that he has many facets of his character. Caring and wise but also humorous and cunning. It reminds me of characters like Dumbledore or Avatar Aang.
@@LadyNightFury1 People say it's a lie because Venti is the only archon actively hiding stuff from us without giving us a reason. Zhongli has at least given a reason, whereas Venti knows stuff that would help us with information that he's avoiding telling us. It also doesn't help that he's deterred the conversation on multiple occasions and has also participated in some very suspicious actions. He also had close ties to the Tsaritsa in the past that hasn't been expanded on and anyone who acts joyful and happy all the time while also having participated in things such as the archon war and fall of khaenri'ah are going to come across as disingenuous It's clear why Venti hasn't had his second archon quest yet. Venti is currently one of the characters with the most sus things tied to their character.
Liyue can take care of itself now. Xiao comes with me to Sumeru for holiday. 😎 Then to Fontaine, and the other places I forgot the names of. He doesn't need to work anymore. 2000 years is plenty.
@@Lun0.selen0 I've had my Xiao since I started playing, my account used to belong to my friend who just got started before his work commitments made it so he couldn't play, he didn't want to waste the account so gave it to me. Since then I got my Xiao his weapon off standard banner and got him C1. He carried me majority of the game. 🤣 he's on the bench taking a break since he's now overpowered for the overworld enemies and I want to give other chapters a time to shine instead of heavily relying on Xiao. I still use him in Abyss when I do it as well as some domains.
Me too it will be cool to see the Archons interacting with each other more and more and perhaps eventually all 6 of them will come together to help us take on the Tsaritsa or perhaps even celestia itself
Xiao and Balladeer have the most interesting story in the whole game so far. Their past is full of emotions and their story always gives me goosebumps.
2:21 Personally, *this* was the moment, accentuating of tune, of that painful and beautiful melody, that struck me the most in this trailer. Yes, 2:06 is undoubtedly cinematic wise beautiful, but the 2:21, with the little girls smiling happy face, holding up a mask of one of his fallen brother yakshas - it just *hurt*. How the tune twirled almost at the mention of what the “mask” is supposed to do - tingle from the past. How the theme *itself* represents Xiao - an old instrument playing, signifying his ancient nature; a beautiful melody, his canonically true beautiful nature; and just how sad and lonely it sounds - his reality. And later, at 2:38, a flute takes over the sad and lonesome melody - perchance Venti’s, a reference to how his music saved Xiao. Throughout this whole trailer the music changes - I absolutely adore Mihoyo’s use of music for storytelling, even in such short clip.
Xiao’s character development has changed drastically, xiao would say he’s a loner but the fact he opened up to us ( travelers) he’s actually a kind person. After update 2.7 came we seen more lore from him and yelan considering he’s the last known yaksha and still misses his comrades he’s very lucky to have zhongli watching over him & venti as well.
Loved the detail of Venti's appearance causing a tonal shift in the music, it's softer, gentler even, symbolising how he relieved Xiao of suffering all those years ago. A beautiful touch

Proof : "This was not by Xiao's own strength, for he had been rescued by the sound of a flute. The clear, lovely sound of the flute came over the mountains and rivers, carried on the wind to where he lay. And clear it continued to ring till the first light of dawn brought with it the startled flight of distant birds. It protected Xiao, massaging his wild senses, and giving him a moment's peace."

I love how Xiao always talks about being alone, but when you look closer, he has not one but two archons looking after him. Zhongli sees him as a son and it seems that Venti will always have his back as well.

Xiao was seen addressing Zhongli with too much respect, as if he were his boss or his god more than a father. And maybe if Zhongli sees him as a son, the side of how Zhongli perceives him is more vague since we lack information. And I emphasize the maybe.
a lot of people seem to think this is the first time xiao and venti met, other than venti saving him. but it's actually implied in both the Mondstadt Mansion description (in the teapot) and in this interaction here that they are familiar with each other and hang out more than we think. it says "...Madame Ping had arranged for [Tubby] to prepare this particular villa after hearing that a certain bard had visited another adeptus' abode recently...." we weren't 100% sure which adeptus it was referring to before, but considering xiao doesn't seem particularly surprised to see the anemo archon hanging out at his place, i think it's safe to assume it's talking about him lol. idk i love xiao and it's sad to see him suffer, so it kinda makes me happy to think that venti comes to visit him when his karma gets bad and plays music for him to make it better. :')
The art and the music for this was just so unbelievably pretty. You can see how it shifts from each style and yet its executed perfectly. And also the fact that Qiqi carried Xiao there just hurts my heart

I love how hoyo-verse is bringing back old characters and not letting them collect dust in the corners. I hope to see more trailers for other older characters as well! Also Qiqi is so sweet for carrying Xiao back, even if she ruins your 50/50’s she’s still a lovable character.

Xiao in this trailer is explaining how his karma is so powerful and so torturing and demanding that he no longer has any recognition from reality to dreams. As you can see in the trailer, he keeps waking up over and over again. His karma is demanding more death, asking him to kill and become a monster thirsty for blood. The two Xiao fighting represent two parts of himself, him wearing the mask is the Xiao tainted by Karma and on the verge of losing his humanity and the other is the General Yaksha hired by Rex Lapis to kill monsters and demons. There's an inner battle in himself between wanting to protect Liyue from monsters and him turning into the monsters he is supposed to kill. It feels like a warning, that Xiao would not hesitate to kill himself if it ever came to him harming humans. Plus when the little girl said the mask is to scare away monsters, you notice that Xiao got indeed scared, reminding us that his karma is slowly turning him into a monster. THIS IS SO SAD SOMEONE SAVE XIAO

The little girl moment is, in my opinion, not a signification that he's slowly turning into monster, it's a reminder how close he is to being one. In every dream from the beginning of this video he is constantly in a fight with this side of himself. He wakes up, only to find himself in another dream confrontation. The madness that followed all the Yakshas seem to be them losing the grasp on reality, so in that respect, this little girl was just an edge away from becoming another delusion to fight. And from that point of view, I feel like the ending of The perilous trail was also misunderstood. The sacrifice was not staying behind so others can go, it was a choice to stay down there, because dying alone in a place that feeds on your sanity is preferable to him than even risking losing control near people he swore to protect. Xiao is an excellent character, and it kinda upsets me that people see him as an angry, rude short guy.
This animated short is just perfect. Xiao almost never rests but he finally rested. Qiqi is so cute, she *carried* him on her back?! Baizhu looks so good in 2D! Venti’s appearance is the cherry on top.
Qiqi is extremely strong. Basically she is pumped full of Adepti power which is why she is unalive. Story goes she died when trying to shelter from a storm she got caught up in a battle between an Adepti and a demon. Horrified by the fact that a innocent had been killed by the conflict the Adepti attempted to revive Qiqi by channeling Adepti power into her corpse. This raised Qiqi as a zombie but Qiqi couldn't handle the amount of Adepti power and went berserk. In the end the Adepti had to trap her in amber to stop her rampage. She finally got free 800 years later she finally got out but by then everyone she knew and loved was dead. She has a pretty sad story. She is still packing a lot of adepti power but has learned to control it and her strength far better. Her memory is terrible though and she has lost the ability to taste. She also has to stretch frequently to keep her body from becoming rigid.
Two things: 1. This is one of the best trailers that they have put out easily. From the music, animation and even giving us Xiao interacting with other characters, especially Venti 2. Baizhu sounds like Benjamin Diskin and I can't shake that feeling
When i was listening to the ost of this trailer, i realized how sad that even such fictional stories can reflect someone's life. There are people fated to suffer their entire life with little to no hope left. The only way they can make peace with themselves is to accept their own fate and reality. I thought of losses and terminal illnesses. The unfulfilled dreams that one must let go, or burdens that one carries while going through such conditions, I wish for everyone who's experiencing this to find their peace.
For me this shows just how much of a good and lovable person he is, and everyone loves him even strangers, everyone is ready to help him if he ever needs it.

I wasn't expecting a Xiao trailer today but I loved every second of it. For being the Character that got me interested in genshin, I love every scene that involves him. He's just the most interesting to me on the amount of possibilities his story can take. Also love the talk about Xiao's medicine (zhongli's about Xiao line), the glimpses of xiao being his own enemy technically and the venti conversion.

i love how it shows how xiaos walls are breaking and he’s slowly allowing people to witness the toll that his job takes on him. i feel like xiao has such a deep and compassionate soul and he’s getting tired :(
Honestly, Venti’s voice actor (or actress? I heard a rumor that they were a girl somewhere) is really underrated. When he hums, he sounds quite tipsy, but also slightly melancholic. When he sees Xiao, he starts speaking rather quickly and with an almost forced enthusiasm, like he’s putting the mask back on. And when he says the final line, he sounds like a mixture of a wise old god and a drunk bard.
Hoyo has my respect They started with character demo and now the whole animated scenes just like an anime they are just blowing everything up Xiao is one of my favourite characters and seeing how he took some rest after eons of suffering just amazing and venti appearing to help xiao was just heartwarming

Honestly the moment i saw Xiao, i immediately fell in love with him and his character. It warms my heart to see him finally getting the rest he’s always needed.

Was super surprised and happy to see Venti appearing in a PV like this. It gives me hope that they're finally going to incorporate him into the story more, and hopefully other older characters as well. All of the 1.0-1.3 characters deserve some heavy spotlight and screen time. Looking forward to seeing which other older characters will get PVs in the future!

Beautiful. Love that Venti is there again. Like a callback to the Yakshas cinematic, he's there in the background, perhaps keeping an eye on things the way only he knows how to.
This trailer is very lovely and really reflex’s one Xiao’s character development. Xiao normally wouldn’t let anyone no matter who they are touch him because of his karmic debt but now he realizes that it’s ok and gets the rest he needs instead oh dragging around exhausted and hurt.
Oh really? I got the impression that he still runs away from people who offer him their kindness. He ran away from three situations here (Baizhu and Qiqi taking care of him, the little girl offering him pudding, and Venti offering him a drink)
@user-xy1dd2cb1n Yeah it's still a development tho. According to his story about vision, he had to fight all night and all day during the Lantert Rite. So his decision to rest means actually a lot. Both for " I am better and stronger than every single one of you" Xiao, AND "weak, useless and pathetic" humans.

Acording to his character story "Vision", It is a(little but still) devolopment since he had to fight all night and day without any rest, yknow. This is one of my favorite genshin trailers. The fightscene was absolutely gorgeous. The changes in art style and then the beautiful closeups my GOD it’s so awesome. And not to mention the lovely soundtrack and voice acting.
I think Xiao's bad karma and suffering can hint to the mysteries of the hilichurl's curse. Xiao says "an instant of negligence, and it will turn me into the monsters I swore to purge" 0:50 so he will become a monster himself if the bad karma succeeds. Hilichurls are cursed to become monsters, and Xiao could possibly turn into a monster due to bad karma, so maybe the curse of the hilichurls/Khaenrian people is similar to bad karma. Hilichurls also wear masks so they can't see their faces in reflections, and Xiao's mask was covering his face as he looked into the water 1:19. Even the name of the trailer, "endless suffering" relates to the endless suffering that the hilichurls are bound to. Besides that, I'm excited for the update!
The scene when Xiao was walking through liyue harbor and got startled by the little girl wearing a mask later saying that it is supposed to scare only monsters made me shiver, i think it was a small hint about XIao becoming what he swore to destroy, a monster. At least in my opinion.

Xiao’s endurance is immeasurable yet he still devotes his life to protect Liyue, and no matter how long he suffers Zhongli will always see him as his son and Venti will always have his back, massive admiration for the conqueror of demons
This is my favorite video that they ever released. Animation, music, story, character interaction, everything adds up to its beauty. Every time we get to learn more about xiao’s past and personality, it never disappoints. He came a long way enduring all that pain for years. Good to know there are people out there loving and taking care of him even though he lost his dear friends. I absolutely loved every scene of this trailer❤
After almost 2 years since the Yaksha teaser in which Xiao was saved by Venti's music, we finally get a full on-screen interaction between them and it did not disappoint. I can't wait to see their interactions in Lantern Rite as well.

Really nice little detail showing that that line specifically is not being said by him in his own sane mind.
It's nice to see anemo disciples were kept in the tab by venti himself. Wishing there'll be more stories like these, like venti watching over Kazuha, Faruzan, Heizou, Wanderer or even Sucrose (Jean is an exception)

Me too, Venti traveled to all regions. (Including Sumeru too if you count the web events as canon. He appeared in the Aranara web event, however I don't think it's connected to the game story)

I am glad in a way. That I did Xiao's story quest. This trailer is so ethereal. The Vigilant Yaksha finally learning how to rest. Hope is a strong theme to this character. You know, maybe wishing for him wouldn't be such a bad idea. Also, anyone here ever watched 'Chef Xiao?'

Xiao has the best character story and design EVER... no character has had as much thought put into... the only character that comes close is Ayaka because of her mom lore as well as her brother expanding her story but she was the first genshin character made so...
I am going to cry. I love Xiao and I am HYYYPED to see him in the story once again. There hasn't been a Xiao story line that I didn't like, no that I hadn't loved.
You have to give the Genshin writers a lot of credit. From the moment we saw Venti with Stormterror, I thought I knew what his entire character was going to be. But instead he has surprised us at every turn, being very multidimensional and complex. All the archons have been like this, and most of the other characters too.
I have a feeling venti didn’t actually mean “it’s good to take the mask off, even for one night” was for xiao. ii have a feeling venti was talking about himself, and how he was taking off his facade of happiness, and just relaxing :) also notice how xiao said “sorry, tonight i just want to rest” means venti had probably been there before? and his voice softens abit ;)

You can really tell that Xiao is Hoyo's favorite character, and honestly... who can blame them? This trailer was so beautiful, the fight scene was so amazing, I especially loved the part when Xiao is fighting his corrupted self and it turns to black and red when Corrupted Xiao attacks and white and teal when Xiao attacks, it was really cool. Also the way his mask and attacks glowed looked so badass and beautiful. It's such a pleasant surprise that they're willing to put this much effort into a trailer for a rerun character. I was so excited to finally see some Xiao and Venti interaction, I really hope we get to see more during the Lantern Rite 💖
Now that i think about it, Qiqi is a perfect companion for Xiao (not romantically), since she is already dead Xiaos karma cant possibly harm her, also, is it me or based on their past connection (speculations), I cant help but notice that Xiao keeps himself in the dark (hides) everytime Qiqi is in his vicinity. We need to see this hearbreaking story soon, please!

@@kazahani archons don't give out vision. There's no any confirmation who gives them but most people believe it's Celestia/Heavenly Principles. Ei confirmed that archons didn't give visions since she doesn't know there's no new electro holder since a year ago.
Oh my Archons absolutely amazing. It feels like Venti was waiting there for Xiao so I assume this is not the first time they met for a talk. It is so heartbreaking seeing Xiao's struggles manifesting so vividly and Venti not talking just about Xiao but also himself. Qiqi is absolutely adorable and the thing I am excited for the most is more Baizhu content😍 I've saved up for him already and cannot wait💚 I hope he will come out soon🛐
Venti saved xiaos life, i dont have xiao so i dont remember the whole story but it had something to do with xiao almost dying but venti played his flute and that gave xiao the strength to carry on until zhongli saved him. Xiao is aware of who venti is and the fact venti saved him so thats probably why you get that feeling also sorry if im wrong about something in this its been a while since i heard the story

They'll never neglect Xiao (hopefully), so far he's the ONLY one that has a dedicated long-a$$ official article about his design development, an already implemented character ever since the concept stage of the game. If anything, I think they'll try to always make him relevant, at least story-wise.

Venti's hint about taking the mask off was very clever and well done. Its clear he's also referencing himself, and how Xiao knows exactly who he is. He's relishing in being able to present as himself rather than just some anemo bard. Looking forward to seeing more of him in this light.

Venti’s sentence about taking the mask off was excellent. Because i definitely think he’s talking about both himself and Xiao. Venti isn’t the happy go lucky bard he pretends to be in mondstadt all the time, and i’m looking forward to seeing way more of him being serious. Also, this trailer was so damn good.
I think he is more referring to getting a break from duty and taking care of yourself. While Venti is not actually active as an archon he probably still looks for the people and controls the winds in Mondstadt. I don't get why people say Venti's joyfulness is a lie. Usually people who are geniuses or had suffered in the past tend to be the most eccentric. If Venti truly was only being wise and calm it would make his personality kinda shallow. I enjoy that he has many facets of his character. Caring and wise but also humorous and cunning. It reminds me of characters like Dumbledore or Avatar Aang.
I hope one day we can see the archons fighting all together a greater evil

Zhongli has at least given a reason, whereas Venti knows stuff that would help us with information that he's avoiding telling us. It also doesn't help that he's deterred the conversation on multiple occasions and has also participated in some very suspicious actions. He also had close ties to the Tsaritsa in the past that hasn't been expanded on and anyone who acts joyful and happy all the time while also having participated in things such as the archon war and fall of khaenri'ah are going to come across as disingenuous

2:21 Personally, *this* was the moment, accentuating of tune, of that painful and beautiful melody, that struck me the most in this trailer. Yes, 2:06 is undoubtedly cinematic wise beautiful, but the 2:21, with the little girls smiling happy face, holding up a mask of one of his fallen brother yakshas - it just *hurt*.
How the tune twirled almost at the mention of what the “mask” is supposed to do - tingle from the past. How the theme *itself* represents Xiao - an old instrument playing, signifying his ancient nature; a beautiful melody, his canonically true beautiful nature; and just how sad and lonely it sounds - his reality.
And later, at 2:38, a flute takes over the sad and lonesome melody - perchance Venti’s, a reference to how his music saved Xiao.
Throughout this whole trailer the music changes - I absolutely adore Mihoyo’s use of music for storytelling, even in such short clip.

Xiao’s character development has changed drastically, xiao would say he’s a loner but the fact he opened up to us ( travelers) he’s actually a kind person. After update 2.7 came we seen more lore from him and yelan considering he’s the last known yaksha and still misses his comrades he’s very lucky to have zhongli watching over him & venti as well.

a lot of people seem to think this is the first time xiao and venti met, other than venti saving him. but it's actually implied in both the Mondstadt Mansion description (in the teapot) and in this interaction here that they are familiar with each other and hang out more than we think. it says "...Madame Ping had arranged for [Tubby] to prepare this particular villa after hearing that a certain bard had visited another adeptus' abode recently...." we weren't 100% sure which adeptus it was referring to before, but considering xiao doesn't seem particularly surprised to see the anemo archon hanging out at his place, i think it's safe to assume it's talking about him lol.

Qiqi is chonky strong
Xiao in this trailer is explaining how his karma is so powerful and so torturing and demanding that he no longer has any recognition from reality to dreams. As you can see in the trailer, he keeps waking up over and over again. His karma is demanding more death, asking him to kill and become a monster thirsty for blood. The two Xiao fighting represent two parts of himself, him wearing the mask is the Xiao tainted by Karma and on the verge of losing his humanity and the other is the General Yaksha hired by Rex Lapis to kill monsters and demons. There's an inner battle in himself between wanting to protect Liyue from monsters and him turning into the monsters he is supposed to kill.
It feels like a warning, that Xiao would not hesitate to kill himself if it ever came to him harming humans.
Plus when the little girl said the mask is to scare away monsters, you notice that Xiao got indeed scared, reminding us that his karma is slowly turning him into a monster.

The little girl moment is, in my opinion, not a signification that he's slowly turning into monster, it's a reminder how close he is to being one. In every dream from the beginning of this video he is constantly in a fight with this side of himself. He wakes up, only to find himself in another dream confrontation. The madness that followed all the Yakshas seem to be them losing the grasp on reality, so in that respect, this little girl was just an edge away from becoming another delusion to fight.
And from that point of view, I feel like the ending of The perilous trail was also misunderstood. The sacrifice was not staying behind so others can go, it was a choice to stay down there, because dying alone in a place that feeds on your sanity is preferable to him than even risking losing control near people he swore to protect.
Xiao is an excellent character, and it kinda upsets me that people see him as an angry, rude short guy.

This animated short is just perfect. Xiao almost never rests but he finally rested. Qiqi is so cute, she *carried* him on her back?! Baizhu looks so good in 2D! Venti’s appearance is the cherry on top.
Qiqi is extremely strong. Basically she is pumped full of Adepti power which is why she is unalive. Story goes she died when trying to shelter from a storm she got caught up in a battle between an Adepti and a demon. Horrified by the fact that a innocent had been killed by the conflict the Adepti attempted to revive Qiqi by channeling Adepti power into her corpse. This raised Qiqi as a zombie but Qiqi couldn't handle the amount of Adepti power and went berserk. In the end the Adepti had to trap her in amber to stop her rampage. She finally got free 800 years later she finally got out but by then everyone she knew and loved was dead. She has a pretty sad story.
She is still packing a lot of adepti power but has learned to control it and her strength far better. Her memory is terrible though and she has lost the ability to taste. She also has to stretch frequently to keep her body from becoming rigid.

When i was listening to the ost of this trailer, i realized how sad that even such fictional stories can reflect someone's life. There are people fated to suffer their entire life with little to no hope left. The only way they can make peace with themselves is to accept their own fate and reality. I thought of losses and terminal illnesses. The unfulfilled dreams that one must let go, or burdens that one carries while going through such conditions,
I wish for everyone who's experiencing this to find their peace.
For me this shows just how much of a good and lovable person he is, and everyone loves him even strangers, everyone is ready to help him if he ever needs it.

I wasn't expecting a Xiao trailer today but I loved every second of it. For being the Character that got me interested in genshin, I love every scene that involves him. He's just the most interesting to me on the amount of possibilities his story can take. Also love the talk about Xiao's medicine (zhongli's about Xiao line), the glimpses of xiao being his own enemy technically and the venti conversion.

Honestly, Venti’s voice actor (or actress? I heard a rumor that they were a girl somewhere) is really underrated. When he hums, he sounds quite tipsy, but also slightly melancholic. When he sees Xiao, he starts speaking rather quickly and with an almost forced enthusiasm, like he’s putting the mask back on. And when he says the final line, he sounds like a mixture of a wise old god and a drunk bard.

It gives me hope that they're finally going to incorporate him into the story more, and hopefully other older characters as well. All of the 1.0-1.3 characters deserve some heavy spotlight and screen time. Looking forward to seeing which other older characters will get PVs in the future!

This trailer is very lovely and really reflex’s one Xiao’s character development. Xiao normally wouldn’t let anyone no matter who they are touch him because of his karmic debt but now he realizes that it’s ok and gets the rest he needs instead oh dragging around exhausted and hurt.
Oh really? I got the impression that he still runs away from people who offer him their kindness. He ran away from three situations here (Baizhu and Qiqi taking care of him, the little girl offering him pudding, and Venti offering him a drink)

According to his story about vision, he had to fight all night and all day during the Lantert Rite. So his decision to rest means actually a lot. Both for " I am better and stronger than every single one of you" Xiao, AND "weak, useless and pathetic" humans.

This is one of my favorite genshin trailers. The fightscene was absolutely gorgeous. The changes in art style and then the beautiful closeups my GOD it’s so awesome. And not to mention the lovely soundtrack and voice acting.
I think Xiao's bad karma and suffering can hint to the mysteries of the hilichurl's curse.
Xiao says "an instant of negligence, and it will turn me into the monsters I swore to purge" 0:50 so he will become a monster himself if the bad karma succeeds. Hilichurls are cursed to become monsters, and Xiao could possibly turn into a monster due to bad karma, so maybe the curse of the hilichurls/Khaenrian people is similar to bad karma.
Hilichurls also wear masks so they can't see their faces in reflections, and Xiao's mask was covering his face as he looked into the water 1:19.
Even the name of the trailer, "endless suffering" relates to the endless suffering that the hilichurls are bound to.
Besides that, I'm excited for the update!
The scene when Xiao was walking through liyue harbor and got startled by the little girl wearing a mask later saying that it is supposed to scare only monsters made me shiver, i think it was a small hint about XIao becoming what he swore to destroy, a monster. At least in my opinion.

This is my favorite video that they ever released. Animation, music, story, character interaction, everything adds up to its beauty. Every time we get to learn more about xiao’s past and personality, it never disappoints. He came a long way enduring all that pain for years. Good to know there are people out there loving and taking care of him even though he lost his dear friends. I absolutely loved every scene of this trailer❤

You have to give the Genshin writers a lot of credit. From the moment we saw Venti with Stormterror, I thought I knew what his entire character was going to be. But instead he has surprised us at every turn, being very multidimensional and complex. All the archons have been like this, and most of the other characters too.

You can really tell that Xiao is Hoyo's favorite character, and honestly... who can blame them? This trailer was so beautiful, the fight scene was so amazing, I especially loved the part when Xiao is fighting his corrupted self and it turns to black and red when Corrupted Xiao attacks and white and teal when Xiao attacks, it was really cool. Also the way his mask and attacks glowed looked so badass and beautiful. It's such a pleasant surprise that they're willing to put this much effort into a trailer for a rerun character. I was so excited to finally see some Xiao and Venti interaction, I really hope we get to see more during the Lantern Rite 💖

@@kazahani archons don't give out vision. There's no any confirmation who gives them but most people believe it's Celestia/Heavenly Principles. Ei confirmed that archons didn't give visions since she doesn't know there's no new electro holder since a year ago.
Oh my Archons absolutely amazing. It feels like Venti was waiting there for Xiao so I assume this is not the first time they met for a talk. It is so heartbreaking seeing Xiao's struggles manifesting so vividly and Venti not talking just about Xiao but also himself. Qiqi is absolutely adorable and the thing I am excited for the most is more Baizhu content😍 I've saved up for him already and cannot wait💚 I hope he will come out soon🛐
Venti saved xiaos life, i dont have xiao so i dont remember the whole story but it had something to do with xiao almost dying but venti played his flute and that gave xiao the strength to carry on until zhongli saved him. Xiao is aware of who venti is and the fact venti saved him so thats probably why you get that feeling also sorry if im wrong about something in this its been a while since i heard the story

They'll never neglect Xiao (hopefully), so far he's the ONLY one that has a dedicated long-a$$ official article about his design development, an already implemented character ever since the concept stage of the game. If anything, I think they'll try to always make him relevant, at least story-wise.
