I have a 2007 bmw 328i and I been trying to buy this part but they said that this particular model doesn’t have that kind of filter anymore is the sending unit and a pressure regulator together
Thanks for the video but is there another Fuel Filter in the gas tank as well. When I Google 2006 E90 fuel filter I get a part that is part of the Fuel Pressure Regulator assembly that goes into the Fuel tank.

It’s a high pressure system it asa you turn the ignition on the diesel gets pushed from tank into lines then in filter I guess after filter replacement we can do a few good times on and off the ignition than the filter should be full ish 👍

Got an N43 320i 170hp and discovered with surprise there was nothing in that spot as I accessed this part of the car. It sucks, because Autodoc's website has all the correct references of my vehicle and it still suggested a filter like the one on the video.
I was driving my e90 last Friday i park turned off the car for like 6 minutes to drop off some food for my sister try to turn the car on but I wasn’t getting crank I smelled a heavy sense of gasoline got the car towed to the house did some testings and im pretty sure it could be the starter but i also read that a bad fuel filter Could also cause the car not to start is that true?
I went to change my e92 fuel filter and couldn't find it anywhere, I took every cover off underneath, too. Am I iust being blind or is the filter in the tank, as I've been told by someone

I haven`t actually done that yet, because I just bought the car but ..., I got the instructions that it is existential for the high pressure pump to be properly bleeded, if you want it to work for another year or two. Expecially if you have CP4 pump. Isn`t there also some screw on the pump for bleeding it?

When particles get inside fuel pump and throughout the system. It can cause your engine to fail prematurely. Replacing the fuel filter is probably a good idea. Although there isn't any stated intervals for this
Great video. Incorrect statement toward the end to the effect that hitting the start button purges the air from the filter. In truth, you need to hook up an OBD II device to activate the lift pump, otherwise you are dry cranking the HPPF. People dry crank and get away with it, but you won't catch me doing it.
BMW electric pumps turn on when u hit the start button, don’t start it…but put it in acc and the bmw will purge the air on its own all pumps turn on when you press the start button. On BMW, Otherwise I understand where u coming from
@@stele4453 you can just don’t fully turn on the car just 1 click to acc mode switch it on and off so the pump purges the air out and your good to go my man

If it means that the fuel has not flowed out from all the units, it should not flow out completely, but only from the fuel filter itself and from the supply pipe. AUTODOC

That or increased resistance/current in the fuel pump circuit. If the pump is overworked/old and tired it may be drawing higher current. If there's corrosion anywhere in the circuit (fuse/relay/connector/ground) this would increase resistance and also increase current draw. A clogged fuel filter could increase the current draw if the pump is having to overcome the blockage so its worth a go as they're cheap enough. I will say, my clip did NOT slide in like that, and I have zero idea why it was such a fight

This vid is for a BMW DIESEL! Petrols have a lifetime filter in the tank. In Europe fuel is sold at a very high quality level ,filtered at least twice,and recently,car makers are not even putting in filters on the vehicle. Auto doc - your replies to genuine questions are ridiculous. Are you woried about legal problems? You should make the vid title clear! DIESEL Petrols different and a filter change probably not needed.

It's apart of the fuel pump system as we know .. they made it so the 328d and 325d will have the filters not the i's

Hi does the filter have to be filled with diesel before you turn over engine ? Does system need re priming or is this done automatically with ignition

Changing the oil on your car does not change the fuel filter. Changes only with the fuel pump.

I have 08 e90 and can't find it either. I think there's only 1 filter in the tank. Its accessed by removing the rear seat.
This is only on the diesel engines, this filter is NOOOOTTT on the gasoline made models

U didn't put the clip back on right on the pump it needs to stick in more check when you took it out originally
He sat down on his seat, there is nowhere else to push him.
After this kind of work, we advise you to check for leaks.

Good point. But if you cycle ignition a few times isnt that the same?
BMW electric pumps turn on when u hit the start button, don’t start it…but put it in acc and the bmw will purge the air on its own all pumps turn on when you press the start button. On BMW, Otherwise I understand where u coming from

What are the symptoms of this part when it’s failing ? I’m at 260k this never been changed my gas mileage is bad
Well, change it immediately, you can break the high pressure pump and the injectors. Very expensive job to repar, just change the filter.
