@@Extreme96PL Qui-Gon is far from a Jedi Consular. He despises Council politics and prefers action to talking, and his bladework is among the Jedi's finest, making him more of a Guardian, or perhaps even a Sentinel. If anything, Obi-Wan is more of a Consular than Qui-Gon, as he much prefers talking it out whenever possible, though still believes in a direct and practical approach when the situation demands action.
KOTOR's class designations have no bearing on what color a Jedi's saber is in the Skywalker era. Typically most Jedi use Blue or Green Kyber Crystals (though Windu uses a purple one as a reminder of his own inner darkness, a big reason why he also uses Form VII as his preferred stance, and also because Samuel L Jackson requested that color personally), and most, if not all Sith, use Red Kyber Crystals.

All of the Red security droids are twitching and looking around nervously when the doors open, but the Gold officer droid is holding still and staring directly into the mist. They all tense up, ready to fire and lower themselves into fighting stances. Then they all ease up and stand up straight when the protocol droid exits. Then all take a step back when the lightsabers ignite. They then try to surround the jedi and close in to shoot inside of the jedi's reach to prevent their shots from getting reflected.

@@cheffboyaryeezy2496 What idiot wants emotions in a droid designed to repair a damaged ship? Why is R2-D2 programmed to back-talk and sass his masters? All droids in the Star Wars universe just seem to have a standard emotional capability installed, regardless of purpose or necessity.
Besides, the OOM-series of the B1 droids are meant to be able to interact with organics. The red security droids require the ability to think and reason to do their jobs properly, since they'd be dealing with internal problems, like crime between the crew, recognizing the different levels of authority among the commanders, and being able to realize when they need to adapt to changing circumstances.
You could also look at it this way; all droids need to have some level of self-preservation to prevent pointless destruction. However, their duties will put them into the line of fire, so that contradiction would easily be seen as nervousness or fear.

I came here after watching the scene in Jabba's palace and the Sarlacc fight from Return of the Jedi. Interesting to see people's reactions to the Jedi at the height of their power vs a galaxy that has forgotten what they were capable of. The trade federation had an army equipped to invade a planet and they panic when the Jedi show up. Jabba has a few guards and a rancor between him and Luke and he laughs in his face.

Remember seeing this in 1999 on the day it opened. This scene was EXACTLY what I was hoping for the whole time between Return of the Jedi and that day. The technology just didn’t exist in the 80’s to do this scene.
When I was a kid and saw Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park for the first time(s), I ALWAYS hoped George would make a new Star Wars with the technology that existed in this time period. So when people hate on all the CGI that was in these movies, we would have never seen what the Jedi were totally capable of without it. My 15 year old self was BLOWN away by this shit. I’ll never forget the first time I saw it. Because basically in the first 20 minutes, it hit on everything I had been waiting for since I saw A New Hope as a little kid. Loved it. 🥰
(I was born in 1984. The year after ROTJ came out. Saw the OG trilogy for the first time in like 89/90 maybe even earlier. So for me, it was like a good 10 year wait imagining what this would look like given the right tools. They nailed it)

I rememver this scene being epic as a kid and playing it on ps1 phantom menace or power battles was another level of epic, hope we one day get a prequel trilogy story game for ps5 or ps6 cuz im gonna be dead by ps6 or 7 😂

1:20 obi wan swings wildly and jumps right into the fight while qui Gon takes his time with his decisive strikes. Feels like a bit of foreshadowing for the maul duel.

No one show the blast door melting clip to Disney. They think lightsaber stab wounds are something you can walk away from.

what's cool is that these Mark 1 battle droids have the skeletal figure, especially the head, of a gungan. it's a ghastly detail i just now realized.
