You can slide your tandems back to the door ties, you can't have them back any further than that, as long as your mudflap aren't past the hole where you pin your door when they are open you are legal, we call that the DOT slot. I'm a 20 year driver, you did a great job making sure you're legal and backing into the spot, one of the hardest things to do as a new driver or even a experienced driver is back into a spot at a tight truck stop. P.S. If you have 16 ply tires you should be able to have 14,500# on your steer tires leaving you with 32750 on drives and trailer tandems. One way to tell is a 16 ply tire usually calls for 120 psi of tire pressure, just check with your shop and ask them what ply tires are on your truck and what they are rated for.

I got my CDL this week drive. I might be starting with the Amazon shipper here in Michigan. Do they teach you about weighing the vehicle at amazon. We never went over it in c d l school
No they actually dnt teach you, well they didn’t teach me but if your trainer has any kinda experience they can show you it’s really simpler than you would think
