Such a great day. Looking forward to Nyepi 2024 in Bali next year
This exercise helped you experience the true sense of being bored. Most people when they're bored, they think about stuff they still need to do around the house, work, watch tv or the internet, etc. Our minds tend to go a million miles per hour with all kinds of random thoughts, it's desperate to find things to do or pass the time. But if we have gone through all of the chores and don't turn on these devices, we can break some kind of mental barrier and experience being bored truly. It's ultimately a sense of being selfaware about your own thoughts, preferences, etc. Looks like you got a lot out of the day and although I get that it's not for every single day, it can be beneficial for most people.
I love this video, Andrew. I think you probably had one of your best days ever without realizing it. One of our customers who happens to be from India did one of these days last year.I gathered from him it was something of a religious experience for him. I'll ask him about it next time he comes into the office. By the way, I too am hooked on the internet, twitter and Spotify. I am listening to podcasts just about all day and listening to Audio books in the car.

Some years ago I experienced satori after much silence and secludedness. I discovered the world of investing afterwards and it certainly helped tremendously to avoid all the psychological traps !

No, just live my life like this. I enjoy living in different parts of the world. Settled here in Bali for the moment. Honestly, I wouldn't have left Ukraine if the war didn't start. Kyiv was home
