In other words, not only was this catastrophe predictable, it was predicted, but only by the people who study fires. Unfortunately, outside of their professional circles, these people were seen as threats to “progress”, that is, the making of obscene amounts of money. Therefore, they were dismissed as alarmist cranks. Even insurance companies, salavating at the prospect of gushers of premiums, chose to turn a blind eye to the actual risk. Too bad there’s no punishment more severe than bankruptcy. Anyway, this is just another example of what can happen when the people who devote their profissional careers to a topic are ignored.
This is unbelievable to see,my condolences and prayers to all in Los Angeles area but specially the families who lost a relative like the old Sir who die alone because of his health condition and the Sir hanging the water hose trying to save the house,may god receive all of them with open arms.

I notice that a few buildings managed to survive. Do you know why? Did they have fire-resistant roofs?
That and I've seen videos of owners spraying their homes and surroundings with water first before leaving their houses.

Ok but how are all the place burned to the ground but there are still green trees standing amidst the rubble?
Because there is water in the tree, it won't catch fire, but the vegetation is completely dry and ignites easily.
