Okay, was not expecting this video to get so many negative comments. I'll admit I may have been a tad snarky in my responses but when nobody is prepared to offer any counterarguments that go deeper than 'this movie is good and you're wrong', there's little else I can do. Still, I'm willing to put my criticism of the film to the test. Anyone who thinks I've said something objectively incorrect or poorly argued, please respond to this comment explaining why. If you manage to prove me wrong, I'll happily admit to it.
I just wanted to reply and say the opposite of a lot of people here and that I completely agree with you. The Venom trilogy has been flawed from the very outset with the first movie and maybe some franchises/spinoffs can't work as movies. As to how these movies rank they are all fairly forgettable so it doesn't particularly mean anything to say one movie clearly stands out amongst the other two. Hopefully with the recent disappointments of Joker 2 and Venom 3 and to a lesser extent other superhero movies, superhero movies can slow in production and we can get them released at a slower rate but being better quality movies
Commenting because I agree with your assessment. While I'm not the core demographic for this movie/franchise, I like sci-fi. The premise of Venom has massive potential that was wasted in these movies. A good movie has wider appeal than just the core fanbase.
I believe the movie was easily and by far the best of the trilogy. A lot of famous people have also commented on the movie explaining why it was the best of the trilogy it honestly has and good reviews i don't know what this guy is on. Dont do reviews again.
The reason why people enjoyed the movie and don't agree with you is not because of the story. The movie is enjoyable to a lot of people because it was executed very well, the scenes feel very natural and they (imo) are very entertaining despite not progressing the story at all. On paper this seems like a horrible movie, but due to the way it was executed it felts incredibly exciting to most watching. From a critics (and storyline) stand point this is a subpar movie at best. For an average person the comedy, interactions with Venom and Eddie and all the action makes this a good movie in their eyes. I honestly would rate this movie a solid 8/10 despite the objectively bad writing. I'm not an expert or anything remotely close to that, I'm just someone who enjoyed the movie and actually think its good, something most people who watched the movie agrees with.

I never said they were unwatchable. All I meant was in the last few years DC have given us Black Adam, Shazam 2, The Flash, Blue Beetle, Aquaman 2, and Joker 2. I won't deny these films had positive elements but they generally weren't seen as very good. Even if they weren't absolutely terrible, 6 in a row is a pretty bad streak.

Honestly, even if I do turn your brain off, I don't think I'd get much out of it. I'm one of the few people who will defend The Marvels even though I fully acknowledge it's not a good movie but the Venom movies I just find mostly boring.

Sure the movie had it's flaws like not adding more depth to other symbiote & character's , but other than that it was better than carnage tbh .
