    Hearing is the act of perceiving sound (as words) emanating from other human beings (while our own mind seeks to prepare for response or rebuttal) and listening is the art of immersing ourselves totally within the reality of the one who is speaking (without feeling any need whatsoever to retort). In a way, hearing is a sympathetic response whereas listening is empathetic.

    K says, "Is there another field that is non-mechanical field." ... the "existence" of it....
    This brings up or reminds the field Jesus scattered the jewels of his teachings... that are still buried in the "field," for everyone to dig up and see....
    K says, "Hold it in your hands an look at it, like a jewel in your hand, and stay with it." ... the problems in your relationships ... human relationships with anything or anybody. But no one really does it, like Christians, Philosophers too.
    Pray, pray, pray, but never act. Talk, talk, talk, but never act....

    The neurosis of a mind could easily misinterpret what is being said so that the idea of listening without the screens of a conditioned mind could be mistaken to infer listening with an inactive mind

    it's remarkable that IQ is measured as a test of performing meaningless tasks. one who is totally aware will see the meaninglessness and accordingly, perform worse than a person who deeply believes in the effectiveness of the test. it's not just IQ tests but the whole of meritocracy that benefits people which believe deeply in the system they are being sold. what we call a genius is someone who fits very well in the system, because they will be measured by the ignorance of the system. any awareness higher than the system's default is intrinsically considered a lower, 'given' form of intelligence because it doesn't 'act', 'perform' accordingly. I always wondered why people with obviously a good amount of awareness considered 'geniuses' do not eventually become spiritual. it must be because the reward of the system limits their awareness. now, awareness is much easier to gain if you already have a lot of awareness, it's exponential in that sense. it is only logical that a 'genius' eventually becomes fully aware. yet that is either disregarded or not wanted by the system, because that full awareness would destroy the system's ignorance.

    Giving and taking has been customary between God and Man, too, from the point of man, as he recorded "He giveth and He taketh." So, from that viewpoint, men have built on habits, giving and taking punishments and rewards, without realizing.
    The only thing that men are to do is bringing the most critical realization to the moments, from the both... In Reality and Actuality... The Reality watching how the Actuality learns and stores... so that when Actuality forgets where it stored the item, Reality would bring it up zippy or timely! So struggle "neither" way. Life becomes fluent, while it is leading from the edge of a cliff😂! 😅 in ❤?!

    Learning that one performs routinely accumulates knowledge for the physical life to go on or sustain ....
    Then the other way of learning produces an action that would start creating the future ...?
    Then the energy is consumed in latter way of learning and producing action, there is no energy left to be recorded...?

    What does this mean " if I am attentive then it does NOT matter what is being said at all". How can that be true?

    • @r3b3lvegan89
      @r3b3lvegan89 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It means listen to what’s being said without any judgment or thoughts or interjections or rejection, pure attention or observation. Otherwise there is no true listening or attention, only partial and harmful.

    Krishnamurti speaks of not seeing things as they are, of seeing through a screen of prejudices, idiosyncrasies, and so on. That is true. But the human organism itself does not offer an objective view in the sense that many animals, given their biological structures, perceive reality differently. With additional senses we would see differently. So even if we look at a given fact, and not at a fact through some idea or bias, we're still using a particular human organism to do so, and to that extent it's not really objective, regardless of what we do.

      Mr Anderson has studied what are called the oracular traditions which deals with ‘truth’ handed down in spoken rather than written form that was used in Eastern cultures. He goes to pains to bring his knowledge and experience into the discussion in some aspects in an attempt at complementing what Krishnamurti is saying. It seems like he is struggling to keep abreast of the situation, but often it falls outside of the relevance of the subtlety that Krishnamurti is introducing to light up uncommon facts.

    it sounds insane to learn about a God you made, what are you learning?...JK made things so simple a child could understand. if there is no other learning but mechanical, we are only lying to ourselves by saying we learn from experience. We dont even experience the experience fully, we already have the answer due to thought interfering ...
