N casually telling you he’s the king of Team Plasma on the Ferris wheel gives the same feel as Reiner casually telling Eren he and Bertolt are the armored and colossal titans
I really felt like one of the only people who really liked Gen 5 cutting out all the previously released Pokémon when the game released. It got that much hate for that decision, but it was a really good game, and honestly had so many fantastic mons and designs. Bad designs are bound to happen for the entry that introduces the most new Pokémon ever introduced in a generation, but people exaggerated how many and how bad they were just on the bandwagon I think
your Pokemon videos are so well made, These games were so great I really hope the don't disappoint when they do remake them in the future.... I hope it can be more like the Gen 3 remakes and not the Gen 4 ones!
Great video first of all. Second of all, as of right now. Black-and-white are still my favorite mainline games in the series. Then again, I’m about to play platinum soon after only playing the original diamond and pearl. But going back to my point. While the games still have a flaw or two like you said. The positives outweigh the negatives tremendously. And just to keep the comment not too long/unreadable. The highlights for me are solid roster of new Pokémon. The large amount of new Pokémon meant there was going to be a solid amount of decent designs. The music is really great, the pixel art was peak for its time. The story was great for Pokémon standards. And the post game was decent for a base Pokémon game. Either way. It’s a darn shame how the games were treated at release. But I, along with a couple of friends I play with every now and then will always cherish this game.
I ironically started Pokémon in Black 2 which I still feels has the most packed content out of the other games. Would you mind giving your thoughts on the sequels.
I said it before and I'll say it again; Generation 5 is the Street Fighter 3 of Pokemon! If you know fighting games, and you know SF3, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. There are just way too many parallels!
My 1st playthrough of black and white I felt like it dragged in the mid game but fell in love with the late game and the elite four and the end of team plasma
@@JacobCruise I am realy enjoying black version I still remember playing white version like 4-5 years ago The story, character and gameplay just as good as I remember them Bw will always be my favourite pkmn games along with platinum
I'll be honest: Gen 3 and their remakes, ORAS, were my all-time favourite Pokémon games. They went unrivalled for 8 years. Emerald was my first game when I played it in 2016. Fast forward to 2024... GEN 5 USURPED IT! I was BLOWN away the story and was, and still am, getting my arse whooped! I have Emerald, HeartGold, Y and Omega Ruby under my belt. Now with White 1 under my belt, my love of Pokémon has been reignited! I burnt out on Pokémon after clearing those 4 games in less than 2 years and missed out on Gen 7, 8 and 9. I grabbed Sword at a local shop for $32 now, mainly to get my first starter, Blaziken, into the modern era!
When Black and White first came out I hated them. I was just a dumb 16 year old kid though, because the older I got the more I loved them grew an appreciation for them. BW1 and BW2 are some of my favorite Pokémon games with BW2 being my absolute favorite.
I half agree with this harsh critique take but you have to remember 2010-2015 was the start of the era of Nintendo game critiques, pretty much every big licensed Nintendo game will have these critiques, to a consumer/normal market and even here say/reviews I think gen 5 was a solid success for games that were sandwiched between a 3ds release/3ds hype.
…yes. I still do. Even now. And I love the fact that we use only the new Pokémon. I think we should use the Pokémon introduced in the game. Try something new for each game.
When it comes to ds games i find the game is more enjoyable on original hardware instead of on an emulator since playing a 2 screen game on a single screen pc get's super awkward real fast. With at being said this game is so expensive nowadays it's like £80 second hand come on man i get this game is good but £80 for a ds game from 2012? Really?
@@JacobCruise yes i know how supply and demand works since pokemon b&w and b2&w2 sold relatively poorly and are no longer in production there is a finite number of copies in the world this number is decreasing constantly (some are lost some are broken some go though the washing machine ext.) Because of this decreasing number of copies people are less likely to sell the copy they do have meaning for the people who do decide to sell it they can charge high prices for the game because they know it will still sell. Since supply is low and demand is high the price increases and since the supply is always decreasing and the demand always increasing the price increases *a lot* Does that sound about right? It's been a good few years since I did business studies back in secondary school so i may have misremembered a few things and i probably misspelled a few words
I hate a lot of people don't see how absolutely awesome these Pokemon games are. this is Pokemon at it's peak and are my favorite. The only thing that prevents them from pure perfection is annoying HM mechanics
@@JacobCruise true. I guess I was just annoyed I had to move the team around or teach moves to Pokemon I didn't really want to in order to progress or explore. But yeah it was minimal
I'm pretty sure in b&w the only hm that's mandatory is cut and that's only for one time in the dreamyard, can just catch a patrat to do it and then box it Not too sure about b&w2 tho
So many inaccuracies. I was big into Pokemon when Gen 5 came out and everyone HATED virtually half the Pokedex because they were badly designed Pokemon. The starters all sucked and were bland. The early route Pokemon all sucked except for Stoutland. The monkeys sucked. The mid-game Pokemon were better, but you didn’t actually encounter the cooler new Pokemon until about the desert region. People had a very bad impression for the first few gyms because the first Pokémon you encounter suck. Then you have the awful evolution levels, with many Pokemon evolving at level 40-50. People didn’t care that it was all new Pokemon only, but it was a problem because of how bad the designs were. Stat wise, half the new Pokemon were also garbage and half were good, which was polarizing. You can’t compare to Gen 1, which does not have hated Pokemon besides a couple finge Pokemon that someone might not like.
@@user-in8qh3zf9d L Take Hoenn started the friendly rival trend and they leave early game, Map is a shoe 👞 filled with water, started the Humaniod Starter trend where all 3 are furries, Mid music, mid “evil” teams they’re the worst more land/water? Lol, Has a Whale 🐳 as a box art legend ect. Hoenn is one of the worst gens ;)
I've played original Pokemon Black in 2023. I had big expectations. Somehow I was still flabbergasted how good the game is
It is peak
Best games in the series, worst starters lol

Gen 5 is exactly what people want in pokémon games now 😂

But hey at least you could use all of the old pokemon after the end of the game unlike some other games

First vid of yours I’m watching, for certain not the last. I love this game, and the way you told your experience was brilliant.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I realy loved how the exp system worked in the game its was the first time i used almost 5 Pokemon in a playthrough

It reduces the tedium that is common in pokemon

Definitely the best generation so far, being BW2 the best Pokémon games ever made. No competition.
If people complained about how much dialogue this game just imagine how they feel about sun and moon
video could've been a 1 second black screen with a "yeah" audio and i would've still liked
