    Thank you for doing a video on Multimeters for solar applications! They can be overwhelming and you did a good job of explaining!

    Thought you were doing solar panels here. The video you did was informative though.

    Nice video. Thank yo you so much. What if I want to measure the ampere?

    Play I like all your videos they're very informative and I just hope you keep putting them out I am I am now thinking about getting a Harbor Freight solar panel to get things going but I don't have the budget for it as yet thank you and keep doing your videos

      I understand what it is like to be on a budget. Keep an eye out for Harbor Freight coupons - they can save you money.
      Thanks for your comment.

    what do you set the dial on to test a solar panel, that was a battery test

    This may be a stupid question but wouldn’t 12.8 be full? What is the full voltage on a 12.8?

    • @shoestringprep
      @shoestringprep  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, 12.8 or 12.9 is considered fully charged. Thanks for your comment.

    Thanks for the video how do you check for a bad battery ?

    • @shoestringprep
      @shoestringprep  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the battery does not keep a charge it is bad. Thanks for your comment.

    I was wishing you would show how to check Amperage with this multimeter.. especially from a Solar Panel.
    I probably got burned buying my 6 used panels (bought a couple here and there, not all at once), now i need to check amperage on em. I may have done it right and see that the 4 i had handy pushed no amps 😐
    Tip.. With this multimeter.. when checking volts, turn the switch to a higher setting than your source battery, etc.

      I will add that to my video list. Thanks for the tip and the comment.

    Is a harbor freight multi meter worth buying or is there another lower cost option that would be better for all solar components

    • @shoestringprep
      @shoestringprep  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the best at the lowest cost I could find. Thanks for your comment.

    What about checking the voltage or current of a solar cell in real time?

    Do you have to change or adjust the settings somehow based on if its a parralel battery bank circuit compared to just a single battery?
    And is there a way to measure total amp hours using these devices?

    • @shoestringprep
      @shoestringprep  ปีที่แล้ว

      Adjust the setting as if it was one battery and it will charge the whole bank. Thanks for your comment
