I dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot my password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Franklin Alfonso I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
mine was spring loaded stuck in...i took an old wiper blade and used the strong metal part of the inserts (there are 2 metal strips on each side of the wiper blade insert on most cars) i made a hook tool out of it to reach in and hook and grab the inside part of the button to pull it out...worked great. thx for video !!!
My gaiter looked like it was chewed by the dog after 10 years in the California sun. I bought one like yours from a wrecker and could not figure out how to get the button out. I even ran a borescope inside to see what's doin, and there were more bits than a Swiss watch. So I used compressed air to blow it out and put a ty-wrap on it. I like your Mylar tape method better. You video was full and complete. Good show.
Hi there! I've seen your video a while ago, liked it and you made me want having that shift knob, I loved it right away. I agree with you, it looks soooo much more stylish than the old one. I couldn't take that knob out of my mind and recently I've ordered the new type, I can't wait to be delivered to change the (ugly 🤭) old one. Anyway, I had a look again to your tutorial to be ready for the knob exchange. Thank you for the clear explanations and tips; thanks to you this job looks like an easy peasy one 😉 Great training!
Thank you so much. I live in Dubai and it's mostly 50 degrees Celsius in here. The leather part for my car became like a biscuit. Breaks every time I change gear lol. Now I can change it without paying a lot to Audi.
I wish I day this video when you released it. I've never liked the shift knob on my 06 A6 Avant. I even bought a 2013 Q5 instead of a 2012 because of that dang shift knob. Live and learn. My A6 has 207k miles, but I just bought a replacement so that I don't have to look at that blob anymore between now and it's ultimate demise. Thanks for the info.
I hunted high and low when I got my car, because I thought there must be a way of changing it, that ugly old style one just did not cut it. Thank you for the comments.
This video is how I figured out my current shift knob was an aftermarket. I only changed the sleeve out and I still don't know how I got it back together correctly. I had to use a couple of tiny screwdrivers to pry the button out but that part wasn't bad. It was figuring out how to put it back together with the leather clamped the right way that was a pain.
