We know, Bobo. We’ve had him so many years. His offensive scheme is predictable and is built around having elite players. We cannot generate points off the fly or manufacture points well. If one cog in the wheel is off or offense is abysmal. Plus, we have a fan based out. There are a lot more talented offensive coordinators that would bring so much excitement and open up the offense

He was fired from Colorado State, Auburn, and South Carolina. He should have never been hired. Hiring your best friend is a bad idea. He's the most predictable, least creative playcaller in college football, running an offense stuck in the 90s. The only time his offense really shine is when he has a significant talent advantage. Few things have killed Georgia drives than Bobo's inexplicable playcalling. Searels isn't good either.
It looks as though Bobo learned nothing from Monken, and simply threw his playbook out when he left and started using his own.

You’re not going to gaslight us, he’s bad, the reason we want to crush Bobo is because we knew how mediocre he was the first time he was OC, he never should have been let back as anything other than a red zone analyst, he’s the main reason we couldn’t put up more than 24 points with arguably the best passing Offense UGA has ever had, against a meh Alabama defense in 23 and that definitely cost us a national championship, and with a better OC that hadn’t let the offense position coaches under perform to the point they did we wouldn’t have been nearly as inefficient as we were, he doesn’t put up any points in the first half ever, mainly because he calls the same 8 plays over and over again to the point where I can with shocking regularity predict what plays coming next in the huddle and commentators can tell what’s coming as soon as UGA is set on the LOS, Coley was fired for one more loss in 2 season than Bobo has in 2 seasons, and Bobo has let Beck fall farther than Coley let Fromm, so is that one extra loss what makes him a “bad coach” considering one was against the 2019 Joe Burrow LSU tigers and another was an away OT loss against SC, “don’t have the balls to say Kirby is wrong” no Kirby is wrong, he never should’ve allowed Bobo to move past analyst, if actually can’t understand why Kirby has a blind spot with Bobo, considering their 30 year friendship, college roommates and families are intermarried, then you’re hopeless, Kirby is in serious danger of letting this moron destroy his dynasty before it’s really even started, the surname Bobo: Americanized form of French Baubeau or Beaubeau: nickname derived from Old French baube 'stutterer stammerer' from Latin balbus 'stammering'. Americanized form of French Bourbeau . Spanish: nickname from bobo 'fool' from Latin balbus 'stammering'. A more apt name there’s never been

I feel that the talk when Bobo came over was that they were gonna still use the Todd monkey offense, which was at that point theGeorgia offense. Feels like Bobo threw that book out in 2024 and decided to try his own. Buster Faulkner seems to call a better game with less talented players.
I do realize it was a down year for the Georgia offense, but there’s no creativity at all in Bobo’s offense and yes, they were drops and injuries, but that’s kind of a yearly thing and we always seem to manage. Except for the drops though that’s something new.

Dean, I think the issue is that everything regressed this year. It is troubling that every aspect of our offense got worse. This is Bobo's responsibility.
I did not have a problem with Bobo before. The fact of the matter is that every position regressed minus RB, where talent just kind of naturally trumps coaching. I waited until the end of the year to make my personal judgement, and in a macro sense, you cannot reasonably look at the results of this year's offense and say there isn't a 'big picture problem.'
    Blocking-big problems
    Recieving-bigger problems
    Run lanes-never open
Play calling-first half problems all year. We also could all sit in our chairs and say 'here comes a WR bubble screen.'
QB-I refuse to blame this on Beck. The dude was not getting any help from his line or WRs.
TE-they did improve. But why didn't we use them more after they proved capable?
I am not sure we saw many 'lets get some comfort throws and catches in', either. If it were just one issue, we could look at the position coach. These problems combined make it a macro-level issue.

8:51 Mike Bobo is a fine OC for a smaller school . A great OC for a highschool !! Not for Georgia !! He has proven his propensity to call the same old , tired smash mouth , "gotta pound the rock" , up the middle, not working running plays ... Over and over and over !!! It's getting very tiresome to watch , when you know what the plays will be before they are called down to the field !! I am sure that is what the opposing teams are seeing and preparing for as well !! You would think that he would have learned some things from Todd Munkin on how to make more "Professional Style" offensive play calls that actually work !! Just my impression from watching the games and how they unfold . I think Kirby is getting tired of this as well !!

Between this last game, Bama and a few others, I've seen enough to know that you shouldn't have to play comeback all the time and it won't work vs. quality teams. We are way too predictable. There are some drops and questionable line play but you must cater to your strengths as a team. His pass plays took way too long to develop down field when we have elite athletes rushing us and an average front line. This is common sense! We suffered through his first tenure and when he finally became worth a shit he jumped ship. Now we're going through it all again. Being a good head coach comes with tough decisions. Time to make one. We Have the Horses! We need Elite Coaches. Get er done.

It's the same exact excuses with Bobo dating back to the Richt years. "The players gotta play better." "The offense did enough to win." "Bobo is fine, (insert OC here) also struggled at times." Every time UGA plays a defense with a pulse, the offense struggles like hell with Bobo as OC. If his initial gameplan doesn't work, if we're not running the ball effectively, he doesn't know how to make adjustments. The offense was a complete mess this year, top to bottom. They can do better than this guy, we know what he is and isn't at this point.

  • @jessevardaman6208

For me it has nothing to do with Mike Bobo as a QB but Mike Bobo as an OC. No one can question Mike Bobo's love for or loyalty to UGA. Mike Bobo will always be a DGD in that regard. Why people want Bobo replaced as OC has everything to do with Mike Bobo the OC. Nothing has changed with Mike Bobo the OC since he was OC for Mark Richt. Offensive lapses where the offense disappears for a quarter(s) or worse a half during games. Unimaginative, stale, predictable play calling has been Mike Bobo's M.O. since he was the OC under CMR. Even against weak opponents the Offense can disappear or not play up to standards. Mike Bobo is responsible for the offense, finding and recruiting players, replacing players when they leave the program, responsible for the coaches under him and how they coach the O-Line, WR's, RB's, and QB's. It is Mike Bobo's offense that failed the team. Mike Bobo is a failure as an OC and needs to be gracefully let go. We are here to win football games, Nat'l Championships and build men of character. UGA is not a place to give an old friend a job just because he is an old friend

Then throw in the off the field issues and losing two WR desperately needed. So blaming Bobo is really just a lazy way for people who don’t truly understand football to express their frustration. That said, his play design is lacking, blocking schemes are not working, and changes need to be made. What angry fans are missing is that you have to have a BETTER replacement available. There are all sorts of changes to his schemes with wing t wrinkles and multiple forms of short passing and screens. The problem is that we were spoiled with the talent of 21 and 22. We had a self absorbed qb and oline that couldnt get it done. Recievers couldnt exicute and catch the ball. The problem isnt the play calling its the lack of exicution. Lets put the talent coming in in Bobos hands and youll see what this offense is capable of.

I have been as vocal about Bobo’s play calling as anyone forever. And he’s not Monken - but no one is. Bobo called enough great plays to win in every single game the Dawgs played. But I don’t know what he could do with a team that lead the nation in dropped passes, a QB who tossed 2-4 WIDE OPEN picks a game for a while, RBs who fumbled in the red zone on both ends of the field, and insufficient blocking at the line for the run game, and poor blocking on the edges by receivers for much of the year. How many WIDE OPEN passes were dropped? How many picks did 15 throw that were no where near anyone on his team?
